The Xilosapien is a powerful creature of Death with the complement of Knowledge and Fear, formed when a person dies after great suffering and with desires of revenge or memories of regret taking over your mind.
It is the evolution of a Rootten variation by Jamila Duran, where it was strengthened with Fear, grew with the vines and ooze of Death and changed into a humanoid form with Knowledge, using fogs from the Other Side to stir up others' regrets and torment them.[1]
Appearance[]
Initially being a Rootten with faint golden glows, the Xilosapien transforms into a four-meter tall creature, with its body completely taken over by sigils from the Other Side, which retell the host's story, and vines like tentacles coming out of its right shoulder.[fn 1] With its flesh torn apart by the vines, Knowledge itself guided the roots to remake the lost limbs of the body, trying to create the impression of be a humanoid creature, even if it is clearly an aberration.
The original creature also wears a mask made from Jamila's flesh, skin, and bone, which have been rearranged to create a feature. Even so, it is still possible to recognize the young woman in small details, such as the eyes, mouth or eyebrows cut out to form the mask.
Behavior[]
Xilosapien feeds on the regrets of its victims, attacking mainly those targets who have the most regrets within themselves. When manifested, the Xilosapien becomes an amplifier of the mists of the Other Side in Reality, controlling and using the mists to feed the victims' fear and strengthen itself.
The creature still retains a bit of its human mind, carrying behaviors from the host that created it, such as not attacking children and people who do not carry regrets in Jamila's case.
To be defeated, the regret must be resolved, so that the host understands that an end has come, and that the moment of its suffering is reproduced with another character in the presence of the channeler. Once its Enigma of Fear is solved, the Xilosapien is taken over by the force of Fear, doing everything to eliminate all enemies in its path until it is destroyed.

Jamila Duran[]
Jamila Duran is an environmental activist, daughter of Reinaldo Duran and friend of Eliana Carvalho, who had a terrible death in the Vento Baixo town. She was a young woman who was protesting against the company Woods Axe, where in one of these protests, a logging machine ended up catching Jamila and decapitating her, killing her with great suffering. Upon dying and transforming into Xilosapien, Jamila became the amplifier of the Brumes of Vento Baixo, feeding fear in people and, consequently, making her more powerful. Initially a variation of the Rootten, the Xilosapien grew into a large paranormal creature that feeds on regret, surrounding the entire city with fog and attacking those in regret with its Awakened Rootten.
