Vilmo Brotto^[1]

Vilmo Brotto is a salesman at a gas station convenience store, located in the middle of Varminho's road. Along with your son, Flavinho Brotto, they manage the store and a tire shop next door. Vilmo appears in the 4th episode of Signals from the Other Side, welcoming The Five to his store and talking to them.^[2]

Vilmo smokes a lot and constantly mentions his late wife, Vilma Brotto, comparing several times Alexandre's fake accident, which was done to distract him, with the way she died.^[3]

Appearance[]

Vilmo is an old man, with gray hair, brown eyes and a mustache. He wears the station's uniform, a blue blouse with the Brotto'a Gas Station logo, blue jeans and black shoes; underneath, he wears a white dress shirt with a black bow tie. He also wears a blue cap with a black brim, also with the gas station's logo on the front. Vilmo also has the habit of smoking, with a cigarette in his mouth.

Personality[]

Vilmo, due to his long life, appears to be a calm person as a salesman and owner of his convenience store. However, when exposed to extreme environments, he feels directly affected by the situation due to the fateful circumstance that occurred with his late wife, Vilma Brotto.

Past[]

At an unknown moment in his life, on an ordinary day, Vilmo realizes that the wrong number for his phone appears in the phone book at his home. Inspired by the situation, he decides to call the respective number to find out who had the domain. . During the call, he meets Vilma, a person who, due to the similarity in her name, made a mistake, resulting in the exchange of their respective numbers.^[4]

Later, they began to have a relationship. After getting married and having their son, Flávio Brotto, they lived a normal life managing the family business. One day, during a tragic moment, Vilma is run over and cannot resist her injuries.^[3]

After Vilma's death, he and his son are responsible for managing his late wife's old Gas Station and carrying on her legacy.^[5]

Signals from the Other Side[]

During the arrival of the team The Five at his establishment, Vilmo assists the members in purchasing the required supplies.^[2]

In the presence of new clients, he witnesses Xande simulating an accident that would hypothetically put his life at risk. Witnessing this fact, he feels affected by his wife's past, generating despair over the event.^[3] After calming such an alarming situation, Vilmo talks to Alexandre and tells him about his past with his deceased wife.^[6]
