Tristan Monteiro, 29 years old, is charismatic, extroverted and a bit shameless. His charisma and great intuition made him one of the main recruiters for the Order.
GM[2]
As long as the spirit Tristan carried remained alive, the Order would stay alive no matter what happened. This jacket was not simply a jacket or a memory of his, it was everything he represented, it was his sacrifice for others, to throw himself in front of everyone else...
Clarissa Leão[3]
Tristan Monteiro was a secondary character in Paranormal Order: Deconjuration, working as an agent for Ordo Realitas. He was responsible for recruiting Elizabeth Webber, Daniel Hartmann, Marcela Geleerd and Renan Geleerd, as well as attending to and guiding Beatrice Portinari on her first mission.[2]
During a mission with the D-Force, a new team of agents, Tristan ended up being surprised by the Traveler and was decapitated.[4]
Appearance[]
Childhood[]
When he was a kid, Tristan had clear skin with no burn marks, dark eyes, and his brown hair reached until half of his neck. In the only photo that is available of his childhood days, he's wearing his characteristic jacket given to him by Mr. Verity, wearing it on top of a V-neck green colored shirt.[5]
Deconjuration[]
In Deconjuration, Tristan was a tall and buff man, maintaining his hair at half-neck length and his beard thin, his body was covered in burn marks in his arms and across his rib cage, which were caused by old missions he was a part of. He was seen with a V-neck blue tank top, brown jeans, simple beige-colored sneakers and a white coat that rested on his shoulders, which was given to him by Mr. Verity.[6][7]
After the mission located in New Dawn Building was finished, Tristan had bandages all over his body, more specifically around his neck and ribcage. The aforementioned treatment was done by Marcela Geleerd, that took care of his wounds after he fought against a Beastly Zombie.[8]
Personality[]
He was a charismatic person, unserious and a bit of a loudmouth. However, when necessary, Tristan showed himself to be calm and temperate, mainly within the presence of Mr. Verity, for whom he nurtured great respect for. His excessive charisma exuded great confidence and affection, which he used to test potentially new recruits for the Order, checking if they were truly up to the standards for the challenges the group proposed. His upbeat and extroverted nature was shown on the majority of cases, which portrayed him as someone who could ease off the room's tension with jokes and playful pranks. He was also a womanizer, constantly trying pick-up lines on newbie girls he hired, like Elizabeth Webber and Beatrice Portinari.
Skills[]
Incendiary: Tristan used to carry Cocktail Molotov bottles and flame-throwers with him, indicating his dispostion for flaming weaponry.
Recruiter: Tristan, with his great charisma and intellect, had the capacity to pick out one's potential and hire them. He's recruited many of the Order's agents in the past, with some of them being part of it to this day, having Mr. Verity's confidence to further expand the group's forces. He was also responsible with guiding new investigators in their first few missions, just like he did with Beatrice Portinari.
Biography[]
Past[]
Tristan Monteiro was born in October of 1991.[9] Not much is known about his past, but it's possible to infer that, at some point in his childhood, he met Clarissa Leão. Beyond that, in his teen years, he met Mr. Verity and joined Ordo Realitas, given that in the 10th episode of Deconjuration a photo of him together with Verity and Clarissa when they were younger was unveiled, which was written "Our first mission!".[5] In this first mission, the young agents alongside Verity found a creature and, even with Tristan saying terrible things to Clarissa back then, he still jumped in front of her to protect her. After the event, Verity gave his favorite jacket to Tristan, an item that Tristan carried with himself until the day he died, telling the young boy that, as long as his protecting spirit that he carried remained alive, then so too would the Order.[7] While he worked in the Order, he met and recruited Elizabeth Webber, Daniel Hartmann, Marcela and Renan Geleerd, as well as recruiting Beatrice Portinari, all in the same year. Being responsible as the guide for the novice in her first mission, he accompanied her for the team escalated to investigate the disappearance of Elizabeth, along with the other agents designated for this job. Also on the 10th episode, it's relayed by Luciano that Tristan had been on the military, however not much is known about his journey in the armed forces nor when he joined the army.
Deconjuration[]
Tristan, along with Erin Parker, Fernando & Luciano Carvalho, and his apprentice, Beatrice Portinari, joined Joui Jouki, Arthur Cervero and Kaiser in search of the veteran Elizabeth Webber, that disappeared with her apprentice, Gustavo Dohmer. Tristan remained on the beginning of the investigation, but ended up retreating to Ordo Realitas' Base to rest after being gravely wounded by a Beastly Blood Zombie in the New Dawn Building, along with Erin and Fernando. He only returned to the mission after the group found Elizabeth and witnessed firsthand her tragic end by Gal's hands. In the 8th episode of Deconjuration, after recovering from his wounds, he accompanied the team on their way to the Devilish Mansion, in the interest of learning about Leonardo Gomes' whereabouts.
Tristan, along with the rest of the team, now featuring a new member called Dante, went to the residence where Leonardo's adoptive family lived in 2005, but, at some point in their investigation, footsteps could be heard coming from the upper story of the mansion. Unknown to them who or what could be living inside that home, they decided to hide as they heard the footsteps approaching the corridors. The agents eventually stopped hearing sounds outside of the room, causing Tristan to leave his hiding spot to check if there truly was anything unusual inside of the house, yet nothing could be seen. With this information, the team was tranquilized after nothing could be seen on the corridors which the sounds came from, however, shortly after, he could feel something resembling a hand forcing him to smile in a haunting, unnatural way. Tristan, while he desperately begged for help to his friends, met his brutal end as he fell to the corridor's floor with the upper half of his head detached from his body, completely dead.[4]
Quirks and Phobias[]
Pyromania:[10] Fascination and obsession towards fire and its derivatives. Tristan developed this mania long before the events of Deconjuration.

Relationships[]
- Arthur Cervero: Had only a few interactions, but he was still important to Tristan, evidenced by the fact he wrote about how Arthur was pretty with scars on his face in his diary[13], with the intention of increasing his self-esteem, showing how he enjoyed seeing him in a good mood.
- Beatrice Portinari: Beatrice was one of his apprentices, developing a bond with both herself and her Potoo bird, teaching both basic tricks and even showing an accentuated interest for the novice.
- Clarissa Leão: Tristan and Clarissa were trained since they were young by Verity. At that age, they weren't as friendly with one another and were rivals more than anything else, with one annoying the other at every opportunity. It's well known that in the first mission they were in together, Tristan risked his life to protect Clarissa, which left her extremely irritated due to the hostile way they treated each other back then.[14] After that, the two began to develop a sibling-like relationship, which caused them to grow closer. [15] Clarissa was deeply affected by the loss of Tristan, affirming he was an idiot that never thought twice in risking his own life for the safety of others. [16]
- Dante: Due to his past with Dante, Tristan refused to trust him directly due to his involvement with the incident that merged Luciano and Fernando into a single body, however, in his final moments with him, he was more empathetic towards Dante's presence in the investigation, as opposed to the first time he saw him, where he was hostile to the point of aiming his gun towards him.
- Erin Parker: Erin was recruited by Tristan around 2019, both of them were part of a group along with Luciano called Team Ember. Tristan and Erin shared the same admiration for fire and explosives. Their relationship was good and the two were good friends that trusted one another, even though Erin was independent enough to not need help from her old mentor. Tristan also had problems remembering Erin's birthday, something he wrote about in his diary.[17]
- Fernando/Luciano Carvalho: Luciano was a member of the Order on the same team as Tristan, after the events that united both into one body, he and Erin Parker trained Fernando to become an agent.
- Joui Jouki: Even though they weren't close, it was evident that Tristan cared about Joui and treated him well, just like he did with all of his other team members and acquaintances in the Order.
- Kaiser: Just like he did with Arthur, Tristan felt responsible to tell Kaiser he looked good with his facial scars, registering it in his dairy as a constant reminder to tell him he was pretty the way he was and that the scars could be worse. [18] He treated Kaiser well and would even volunteer to play with the hacker in case he wanted.
- Mr. Verity: Tristan admired Verity to a great degree, being trained by him since he was young. In his first mission, after Tristan risked his life to save his companion, the mister gave his favorite jacket to him, symbolizing the confidence he had in the youngster. [7] Verity nurtured a strong affectionate bond for him and also trusted his abilities as both a veteran agent and a recruiter for the Order.
