Paranormal Order Wiki

Thiago became a journalist to tell the stories of incredible people like his father, a renowned actor.
When his father passed away, Thiago found evidence linking his father to the Order, sparking his interest in the organization.

I knocked on the door several times, but I always came back, didn't I? Relax, everyone, it's going to be okay.

Thiago Fritz[3]

Thiago Fritz was one of the protagonists of the series Paranormal Order, Present in The Paranormal Order, The Secret in the Forest and Paranormal Order: Initiation.

Thiago was a journalist[2] who, after the alleged death of his father, Arnaldo Fritz, decided to investigate the cause of his father's death. Through this investigation, he discovered the connection between his father and Ordo Realitas, becoming interested in joining the organization. He was known for his eloquence, charisma, interpersonal skills, and contacts.

At the end of the mission in the village of Holy Cradle, hidden in the town of Carpazinha, Thiago ultimately sacrificed himself to protect his team, detonating himself alongside The God of Death, which the village had created as a last line of defense.[4]

Appearance[]

The Paranormal Order/Initiation[]

Thiago was a 33-year-old man who stood at 5.67 feet tall. He had short light brown hair with a short fringe swept to the side, a sparse beard, brown eyes, and an athletic physique. During the first case, he wore a reddish dress shirt with a black tie, sleeves rolled up, and a black vest. In Initiation, unlike The Paranormal Order, Thiago had slightly tousled hair and was wearing a navy blue vest over his shirt.

The Secret in the Forest[]

Thiago had short hair, a moderate beard, and a scar that ran from his left ear to his cheek, which resulted in a burst eardrum but was later healed. He was often seen wearing a gray sweatshirt. After his first mission, it was revealed that Thiago's body was covered in scars from cuts, punctures, and bites. One of these scars hinted at a possible lung surgery.[5] Thiago had lost a significant amount of weight since his first mission, going from 176.37 lbs to 143.3 lbs due to his recovery period in hospitals following injuries sustained during the case of Nostradamus High School.[6] During the first mission, Thiago was always seen with a cigarette in his mouth, but due to the surgeries he underwent, he had to quit smoking, experiencing a relapse for three days after the encounter with the Black Death Carrion.[7]

After the nightmare experienced by the team in the 10th episode of The Secret in the Forest, they all wake up to find new clothes provided by The Tailor. Thiago's specific attire is like heavy leather armor dyed in yellow, covering his entire body down to his feet. Over his clothing around the neck area, there's an additional layer of black leather that resembles a sort of hood. He wears a belt around his waist with a small pocket, carrying some of the small Green Crystals used by The Doctor. Thiago also carries on his back an iron shield with a yellow and black design and a longsword, serving as a means to lead and protect the team from any danger.

During the 14th episode of The Secret in the Forest, when they manage to enter the hidden bunker in the Holy Cradle Mines, Thiago becomes furious with The Gatekeeper when he discovers that someone from the group must sacrifice themselves to be marked with the symbol and find the end of the Infinite Labyrinth. Mentioning that he had been inside the labyrinth before arriving in Holy Cradle, he transforms into his Lusidii form upon realizing that he had always been one, ever since he was kidnapped by the Aracnasite. His hair and beard turn completely white, his skin becomes gray like everyone else's, his ears become pointed, and there are stripes in the middle of his face forming a cross.[8]

Thiago, knowing he was connected to the place and would likely die anyway, receives the large spiral symbol in the form of a scar on his back, intentionally made by The Gatekeeper with a Red Crystal used by Cesar,[9] in order to Thiago be able to enter and guide his friends to the center of the Holy Cradle Labyrinth.

In the 16th episode of The Secret in the Forest, in order to prevent anyone on the team from dying or suffering rapid aging like Elizabeth Webber, Thiago sacrifices himself, urging the group to run and taking the detonator to explode the Dimensions Parasite, consequently destroying Holy Cradle in the process. He is grabbed by the God of Death, who, like his partner, undergoes rapid aging, resulting in the growth of his hair and beard, as well as his skin becoming wrinkled and thin - a reflection of the 51 years spent in the creature's domain.[10]

Personality[]

The Paranormal Order/ Initiation[]

Thiago used to get along well with new relationships, being extroverted and skilled at saying what people wanted to hear. This quality proved highly useful in various investigations he conducted. He had a strong sense of justice and couldn't control his anger when he encountered someone who didn't care about the lives of others, as seen in the 2nd episode of The Paranormal Order when he discovered Alex's involvement in the disappearances.[11] In his first case, Thiago was notably manipulative and egocentric in his pursuit of goals,[12] displaying confidence and striving to achieve the same glory his father had. He also showed a more serious side when situations demanded severity.

In Initiation, not too different from his personality in The Paranormal Order, Thiago appeared as an open and conversational person. However, when faced with a frustrating or destabilizing situation, he needed time to recharge his energy and mind.

The Secret in the Forest[]

His personality undergoes some changes upon his return in the Carpazinha case, mainly due to the losses he experienced during his previous case. He becomes notably more concerned about the well-being of others, especially civilians.[13] Having his physical and psychological well-being severely shaken after the events of The Paranormal Order, Thiago becomes less offensive and uses his charisma to benefit and protect his friends. He also tries to keep those who shouldn't be involved in the cases away, as they might meet a fate similar to Gonzales. He cares deeply about those around him and does his utmost to protect them.[14]

Skills[]

  • Smooth Talker: Having done this all his life, Thiago had a surprising talent for talking, interacting, persuading, and understanding people's feelings. Because of this, he was great at making someone feel confident about what they were doing.
  • Sharp Gaze: Thiago, having worked as a reporter/journalist, was always attentive to the smallest details of his surroundings, things that many people might overlook. Any tiny detail could grab his attention and be a potential clue.
  • Network of Contacts: Being a journalist and having worked in the profession for a long time, Thiago had numerous sources, having contacts with people who had access to information that could potentially be useful.
  • Weapon Skills: To join the Order, Thiago had to train in shooting with weapons.

Biography[]

Past[]

Thiago Fritz was born between 1986 and 1987 and was a journalist who was motivated to pursue this career because he had the opportunity to write stories about people like his father, Arnaldo Fritz, who raised him alone and was a renowned actor of his time. Thiago held immense admiration for his father, especially for how charismatic and kind he was. However, after his father's supposed death, he discovered a letter detailing his involvement with the Order. This fact piqued his interest, and due to his investigative skills, he ended up enlisting in it.[2] He met his father's best friend during his lifetime, Cristopher Cohen, an older man born in the United States, who had met Arnaldo through his performances as an artist, as he was a stunt double.[15] Cristopher, known as Cris, met Thiago when he was still young.

The Paranormal Order/ Initiation[]

On February 29, 2020, Thiago received an early morning email with only an address, a time, and a very specific request for coffee.[16] Upon arriving at the designated location, he unexpectedly met two other new members of the Order, Elizabeth Webber and Daniel Hartmann, and embarked on his first group mission, following several minor individual cases, following in the footsteps of Arnaldo.[17]

During the case, the trio interacts with some students from the Nostradamus High School to understand the alleged fire that resulted in the unusual death of a firefighter named George. Their investigations reveal that what initially appeared to be a simple fire had a much more complex origin. Following the notes of Gabriel Opspor, a student who was studying the case independently, the team identified a suspect: Alexsander Kothe, a recently dismissed history teacher who could be linked to the eventual disappearances of young female students from the school. The group invaded Alex's apartment and began interrogating him about the case. He claimed not to remember the events before being fired from the school by the principal, Álvaro. The team decides to take him along in hopes of extracting more information as he regains his memory. After conflicts and various setbacks, the team finally locates the young Gabriel they had been searching for since the beginning. Ultimately, they take the boy to see Verity, who extracts information from him on how to open the bunker where the alleged creature at the center of the case was located. Thiago, Liz, Daniel, and Alex are sent to scout the school's bunker. Thiago, using his father's sword, faced a transformed Degolified alongside his partners. In the battle, Thiago was left deaf in his left ear and gravely injured, while Daniel was killed by the creature, and Alex went insane and took his own life. Following these events, Liz escorts Thiago out, and he is subsequently sent to a hospital. He spends several days in a coma, and when he awakens, Liz is at the hospital keeping him company.

Thiago's personality undergoes a drastic change, entering a stage that could be considered depressive. He becomes much more withdrawn and observant, restricting his interactions with people compared to how he used to be. Thiago becomes very close to Liz due to her caring for him in the hospital, almost like a maternal care that Thiago never had.[18] After learning Liz's story in depth, he suggests that she visits her mother's grave. Upon arriving at the cemetery and experiencing various emotions, especially from Liz, the two hear strange sounds coming from nearby and discover four young individuals being attacked by a paranormal creature. After a battle against them, only one of them survives, Joui Jouki.

The Secret in the Forest[]

On April 11, 2020, Thiago, along with Elizabeth Webber, was called for their second mission, along with their apprentice Joui Jouki and two other new agents, Cesar Oliveira and Cristopher Cohen, to investigate the disappearance of Team Kelvin. This team had vanished while investigating the death of Rafael Montes, who was found with a Spiral Symbol in Carpazinha, in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul.[19] They were sent to Carpazinha, where they had their first encounter with a local biker gang known as the Scoundrel Vultures. The leader, Brúlio, informed them about their rival gang, the Haunteds, and the legend of the Lunatic Doctor. The group began their investigation by initially visiting the abandoned sanatorium in the city. Despite being separated from the group during their exploration, Thiago made contact with the Order and received the files of occultists that Team Kelvin had been searching for when they disappeared. He shared his findings with the group, and they decided to return to the Ape Hangers bar, where they had first encountered the Scoundrel Vultures. The team met Arthur Cervero, Brúlio's son and the guitarist of the Scoundrel Vultures' band, who was about to perform that day. Thiago separated from the team to gather information from Getúio, the owner of the gas station next to the bar. However, Thiago was captured by an Aracnasite, which encased him in a black cocoon and began to use him as a potential energy source.

The others noticed Thiago's absence and when they went to look for him, they encountered a giant spider with Thiago unconscious inside it. Cristopher sacrificed himself to save Thiago, and while this was happening, the two communicated on a spiritual level. Cris asked Thiago to protect Cesar and apologized for not being able to protect Arnaldo when he should have. They hugged each other, and Thiago woke up to the scene of the forest on fire and Cris' body torn apart. After melancholic moments, the group rested and resumed their investigations the next day.

With the sudden disappearance of Gregório, an old member of the Scoundrel Vultures, the team decided to inform the gang about the paranormal activity. Arthur decided to accompany the team to investigate the house in the forest. In the house, the group found Gregório injured and discovered that the place was a base for the Haunteds. After facing some monsters, the group confronted the Haunteds, who had taken Gregório as hostage. The battle ended with most of the Haunteds dead, including Gregório. Brúlio arrived with another member of the Scoundrel Vultures, and they regrouped and prepared to fight the remaining Haunteds. In the meantime, they encountered the Crazy Gramps in the mansion and decided to leave him alone in his room. Shortly before the Haunteds arrived, the old man came downstairs in a panic and unlocked the door to the basement. The group left the situation aside and organized the hall for the battle. The remaining Haunteds arrived, and the confrontation began. In the midst of the battle, a creature broke through the basement door that had been barricaded by the team. The creature appeared and joined the battle, making it even more intense. Although only one of the Haunteds managed to escape, the creature began to attack those in the mansion. It controlled Thiago, Cesar, and Brúlio, making them attack Liz, Joui, and Ivan, respectively. Thiago, after coming out of the trance, became agitated with what had happened and continued to shoot at the creature to kill it. Finally, Cesar killed the Carrion, leaving only the team and Arthur alive in the mansion. With Joui and Arthur severely injured, Thiago drove the team to the hospital.

After leaving Liz, Joui, and Arthur in the hospital, he and Thiago returned to the mansion and retrieved the bodies from the location. They took the bodies of the Scoundrel Vultures to the Ape Hangers and met with Ivete, who was inconsolable about what had happened. She asked them to retrieve Arthur before holding a funeral. Thiago then picked up the three from the hospital and returned with them to the bar. There, they held a small funeral, and Thiago paid tribute to the gang. They rested for a while, and during this time, they received a call from the town's police officer, reporting something strange happening at the cemetery, where Rafael Montes' body had been buried. After that, they decided to return to the mansion to finish exploring the place. They found the body of the Crazy Old Man in the basement, which had a smooth black card and some papers. They found more papers throughout the house and left the place afterward.

They then headed to the cemetery to assess the situation with Rafael Montes' body, suspecting that the man's body might be turning into the same creature seen in the mansion. They split up, and while Liz, Arthur, and Joui distracted the elderly cemetery owners, Thiago and Cesar dug up the man's grave to set it on fire. Some things got out of control, but the team resolved the situation with the body and returned to rest at the bar. They began discussing the investigation, and after a moment of relaxation, they all fell asleep.

They were all awakened by noises at the bar's door. Thiago answered the door, and police officer Victor was there, inquiring about the violation of Rafael's grave in the cemetery. Thiago easily convinced him with his persuasion skills and made the man calm down about the situation before sending him away. The team resumed their investigations, concluding that they needed to go to the so-called "cavern," mentioned in the papers found in the mansion. They prepared and headed into the forest. Venturing into the dense woods, they came across a hidden civilization, Holy Cradle.

Thiago became extremely cautious upon this discovery, despite most of the town's residents appearing peaceful and receptive. The group entered the city and met figures such as The Gatekeeper, The Helper, and The Blacksmith. They also encountered Murilo and Cibele, who had been missing in Carpazinha. Now known as the Collector and the Nurse, respectively, both had decided to live in Holy Cradle. They walked through the city accompanied by the Blacksmith, the city's leader. The team was intrigued by the fog-covered labyrinth in the center of the town. Thiago and Joui entered it along with the Helper and encountered countless entrances and exits that seemed to lead nowhere. Thiago, who found it strange that the Lusidii refused fire, lit his lighter in front of the labyrinth. This triggered a wave of fog across the city and the appearance of creatures to attack them. The Helper separated from the group during the skirmish. After dealing with some nearby beings, they headed back to the Blacksmith's shop and found the Helper dead with an occultist symbol drawn next to his body. Everyone was terrified by what had happened, including the Blacksmith, who claimed that there was no violence or hatred in Holy Cradle. The team pledged to investigate and find out who had committed the murder.

The Blacksmith took them to the hotel to rest. There, they met The Hotelier, who explained the strange rules of the hotel and gave them the keys to their rooms. Each went to their room and rested. During the night, they all suffered from a shared, extremely realistic dream caused by a creature called the Dreams Parasite. In this dream, each faced rePresentations of people who had been part of their lives. Thiago confronted Gonzales, the police officer who had died during the Nostradamus School case. In the end, Joui killed the parasite, and they all woke up. Upon seeing Joui's Lusidii form, Thiago became very concerned, stating that it was not a good sign. They walked through the city and noticed that the Lusidii were treating them as suspects in the murder. The Blacksmith protected them but also mentioned that it was very strange for this to happen just when they arrived in the city. A funeral was held for the Helper, but the team, being ignarii, couldn't participate. Afterward, they talked to the Blacksmith and investigated the occultist symbol. They were directed to the farm and spoke to The Farmer, who claimed that her animals were being attacked by something that drew these symbols. They spent the night in the barn, and in the early morning, a creature attacked a cow and ran into the middle of the forest. Thiago, Cesar, Liz, and Joui went after it, while Arthur stayed to tend to the cow. There, they encountered a humanoid creature resembling the Lusidii but bestialized. They killed the creature, and a loud noise emanated from the city, prompting numerous creatures to attack them. Injured, they left the forest and received medical care.

Afterward, they rested at the hotel, and this time, the night was not as eventful as the previous one. They woke up, and everyone noticed that the bell, which the Gatekeeper rang every morning, had not been rung. Thiago, Liz, Cesar, and Joui went to the tower to look for him and found bloody clothes, green crystal vials, and numerous spiral symbols drawn on the ground. Thiago and Liz connected the dots and concluded that the Gatekeeper could be the wanted murderer. Joui ran to inform the Blacksmith. The city's leader was enraged upon hearing about the Coletor's death and went to the Gatekeeper's tower with Joui. He argued with the team, stating that they had no permission to enter the tower. He agreed to talk to them later and left.

Thiago and the others met with Arthur, who had spent the night with The Doctor, taking care of the cow. Afterward, they talked to the Blacksmith, and they decided that they should go to the city's cavern. Due to the discovery of the existence of a door in the cave with a card slot similar to the one found on the Crazy Gramps' body, the team joined forces with The Miner to enter the Holy Cradle Mines. Inside the mining cave, the team faced various dangerous creatures. Thiago was seriously injured after falling backward onto a red crystal during the battle against the Maggake, and he nearly died from suffocation caused by Succ. When the group neared the door in the cave, they inserted the card, and the door illuminated a panel with the spiral symbol marked on it. After seeing this, the Miner realized that the team was truly different and decided to show them the part of the cave with black crystals. There, they found the Gatekeeper, holding a knife and carving the spiral symbol into the ground. The Miner grumbled and suddenly attacked the team, betraying them. A battle ensued, and Thiago witnessed Arthur losing his arm brutally. During the course of the battle, Thiago finally managed to kill the Miner, who was carrying Cesar closer to the black crystal in an attempt to connect him with Holy Cradle forever. The Gatekeeper explained the situation and revealed that the Blacksmith had known who they were from the beginning and had instructed everyone in the city on how to behave toward them. Additionally, the Gatekeeper mentioned his brothers, who were trapped in the center of the labyrinth, and only the Blacksmith knew how to enter there. The team decided to trust the Gatekeeper and, with his help, they entered the bunker in the mines.

At the bunker, the team discovers that Subject 01 was the mother of Agatha Volkomenn, the girl from Thiago and Liz's first case. They also find out that the spiral symbol used Potential Energy from their Sources to generate life and prosperity around it. Furthermore, they come across the complete reports of Eva van Gloss's expedition to Heilag Vagga, in which she mentions a Deconjuration Order. They also find a stained sheet with a pentagram showing only two edges. One had the map symbol of the Nostradamus School's bunker, and the other had the spiral symbol of Holy Cradle. Finally, Thiago and Joui find pages from the diary of the Crazy Gramps, revealing that to enter the center of the labyrinth, one needed to draw the spiral symbol on their own body. A dilemma arises, and Joui becomes insistent that he should be the one to do it. Thiago becomes extremely irritated and threatens the Gatekeeper with death if he goes near Joui to mark him. Thiago is firm when he says that he will mark the symbol on himself, as he had already been in a situation of connection with the symbol before when he was inside the Aracnasite. When Thiago describes this, the Gatekeeper is shocked and asserts that Thiago had already connected with Holy Cradle, thus making him a true Lusidii. Everyone is confused, but Thiago is determined. The team mourns Thiago's sacrifice, as they don't know what will happen to him when they destroy Holy Cradle. Thiago reassures them and asks the Gatekeeper to draw the symbol on his back. When he finishes, Thiago sees everything in white, and only Liz, Joui, Cesar, and Arthur have colors for him. The Gatekeeper sacrifices himself to create a distraction, allowing the team to guide Thiago to the entrance of the labyrinth.

Inside the infinite labyrinth, Thiago can see everything, and the symbol on his back pulses, indicating the direction to follow. They walk inside for a while and finally reach the entrance to the Holy Cradle cave. With each passing moment, Thiago feels the world losing contrast and insists they can't waste time. As they enter the cave, they come across various cells, and in one of them is Kenan Thomas, the last member of the Kelvin team. He explains how he ended up there and reveals that the Blacksmith was Miguel Cariad, another member of the Kelvin team. They free Kenan and retrieve the explosives he had hidden before being imprisoned. They open the other cells and find the Springs dying and wild. Liz understands that killing them would weaken Holy Cradle, and even though the team says it doesn't make sense, she insists and approaches to execute them. Thiago stops her and tells her to have hope that it's possible to save them and the city's civilians and that nothing bad will happen as long as they are together and support each other. Liz calms down and abandons the idea. They proceed to a larger area of the cave and come across the massive and bizarre manifestation of the Dimensions Parasite. They decide to blow it up, and Kenan starts to climb to plant the explosives. The Blacksmith appears and tries to stop them from destroying it, as it would result in the death of innocent civilians who were already victims of the scientists' successful plan. A battle begins, and the Blacksmith holds Thiago, telling him not to do it and to have mercy on the city's residents. However, Liz executes the Blacksmith before Thiago can respond.

When everything is ready to explode, Thiago smokes one last cigarette, and everyone assures him that everything will be fine. However, before they can detonate, a creature manifests in the Blacksmith's body, and the team begins to face The God of Death. The battle is intense. The creature holds Liz for a few moments, but she ages rapidly. Thiago becomes angry and shoots the creature relentlessly until it finally lets her go. Mid-battle, Kenan goes mad and becomes a human bomb. Cesar kills him before he can explode and kill them all, and the detonator falls in front of Thiago. He picks up the detonator and tells everyone to run to the exit. Then, the God of Death grabs him and makes time pass very slowly for him.

Thiago is trapped in the creature's hands for 51 years as he patiently waits for all his friends to move away from the detonator. The team cries and flees in despair, lamenting their friend's sacrifice. Finally, at the age of 84, Thiago explodes with the creature and dies with a smile. He sacrifices himself for the people he loves, becoming a hero, just as he believed his father was.[20]

Calamity[]

When Dante transcends with 50% Paranormal Exposure, he connects to Rakin's Mark. With this, the mark allows that Dante meets Thiago, and the journalist says to Dante to be an ally of Time, to stop fighting the past and protect his future and the future of the people around him.[21]

The Secret in the Forest - Parts 1 and 2 (Potential Future)[]

Five years after what was her death, Thiago would marry Elizabeth Webber. In a ceremony at sunset on the beach, with all the Order agents as guests (including Christopher, Kaiser, and Joui), they would share their matrimonial kiss.

Two years after that, following a difficult but uncomplicated birth, Thiago and Liz would have a daughter together: "a beautiful girl", as the doctor would say, named Lucille Webber Fritz, in honor of Elizabeth's late mother.

Lucille would be a prodigy with the violin, playing spectacularly well and even participating in talent shows and concerts. Eventually, she would have a son, whom she would name Arnaldo Fritz, after her great-grandfather.

At 68 years old, Thiago would be diagnosed with cancer, developing heart tumors. However, with Liz and Lucille's support, he would overcome the illness. After his recovery, Thiago and Liz would promise each other to fulfill one dream per year, and they would do so well into their seventies and beyond.

However, this was taken by Death, by Time. After the effects of the Gof of Death's Descending Spiral, Thiago's Potential Energy was consumed. All the moments, all the encounters, all the experiences... everything was stolen from him: everything that could have been and wasn't.

Quirks and Fobias[]

Smoking: Thiago's addiction to smoking is well-known, often described as almost always having a cigarette in his mouth. It is known that he started smoking due to anxiety issues,[6] but after the Degolified caused severe lung injuries, he had to control himself and force himself to quit this terrible habit, as it would further harm his already fragile health from the catastrophic fight with the creature. During the Carpazinha case, Thiago had a 'relapse', as he puts it, returning to smoking with the death of Cristopher, someone very important to the young Fritz. Thiago smoked his last cigarette within the caves of Holy Cradle, hoping to feel normal again after discovering his connection to the Dimensions Parasite.

Alcoholism: Thiago clearly showed signs of alcohol addiction, frequently heading to John's bar to drink whiskey until late at night, to the point where the bartender knew him relatively well. Whenever extremely distressed, Thiago would drown his frustrations in alcohol, such as when he fought with Elizabeth after the death of Gonzales.

Arsenal[]

The Paranormal Order/Initiation[]

Arma de Fogo em A Ordem Paranormal

Pistol
A normal firearm.
Sword A sword with a long sharp blade and a red ribbon below the hilt that belonged to Arnaldo.[22]

The Secret in the Forest[]

Desert Eagle An semi-automatic pistol.[23]
Magnum A firearm of the revolver type.[24]
Sword It is a long sword with a reddish hilt and yellow details, described as resembling the blade of his father used by Thiago in his previous mission. This weapon was used as an alternative to firearms during the battles in Holy Cradle, and, like everything from that place, was destroyed in the ruin of the Dimensions Parasite.[25]
Shield A large yellow and black shield with spiral details on its front used in Holy Cradle. It was strapped to the agent's back when they were out of combat and, like the sword, no longer exists.[26]

Relationships[]

  • Alexsander Kothe: In The Paranormal Order, just like the other members of the investigation group, Thiago used to treat Alex with contempt, and his impatience towards him often left him unsettled,[11] however, in the final moments of the first case, he did not show aversion to Alex's contribution to cleaning Nostradamus High School.[27] In Paranormal Order: Initiation, though, Thiago respected Alex and, despite initially being cautious about him, treated him well as a teammate and potential friend, even becoming deeply moved by his death at the end of the case.
  • Arnaldo Fritz: Thiago always maintained a relationship of respect and admiration for his father, who was not only a journalist and a professional actor but also for his charisma and ability to charm people around him. Eventually, he inherited his father's charisma, and by extension, pursued a career in journalism. Furthermore, for a long time, Thiago held onto his father's watch as a symbol of immortality, choosing to maintain the image that Arnaldo was a timeless hero. During the events of The Secret in the Forest, he gradually let go of the idea of immortality and left the watch near Cristopher Cohen's grave.[28] Continuing to follow in his father's footsteps, Thiago developed an interest in the Order after reading a letter that described Arnaldo's involvement in paranormal investigations.[2]
  • Arthur Cervero: Initially, Thiago treated Arthur with respect and his usual charisma, given his strong fondness for Arthur's father, Brúlio. After the events of the 6th episode of The Secret in the Forest, Thiago grew closer to Arthur, offering support in his times of loss and showing genuine concern for his well-being.[29] Following this, Arthur and Thiago began to treat each other as very close friends, with both of them willing to take risks to protect each other.[30][31]
  • Cesar Oliveira Cohen: Initially, the two had a purely professional relationship in the Carpazinha case. Thiago began to care more about Cesar after witnessing him lose his father and empathizing with his pain.[32] They started interacting as close friends after the events in the 6th episode of The Secret in the Forest, developing a deeper friendship. Gradually, they forged a bond of brotherhood that was nurtured throughout the series, both through what they experienced together in the case and through the relationship their own parents had in the past. This bond is solidified after the 13th episode of The Secret in the Forest, where Thiago saves Cesar from being corrupted by the Black Crystal, which would have forever tied the young man to the Holy Cradle, and he refers to him as "brother".[33] Eventually, Thiago became an important person in Cesar's life, and vice versa.[34]
  • Cristopher Cohen: Due to Arnaldo and Cris having been friends in the past, Thiago ended up meeting him when he was younger and considered him an old friend, perhaps even a second father figure in some cases.[15] Despite Liz's disapproval at the beginning of the Carpazinha case, Thiago expressed support for Cristopher in his situation with Cesar.[35] Moments after Cris' death, Thiago sees and talks to him inside the Infinite Labyrinth and fulfills Cris' promise to take care of his son for the rest of the investigation.[36] Thiago is grateful for everything that Cristopher did and pays tribute to him at his funeral by placing his father's pocket watch on the man's grave.[28]
  • Daniel Hartmann: During the events of the Nostradamus High School Case, Thiago observed Daniel with a certain admiration, initially because they were colleagues but also due to Daniel's reputation as a writer.[37] In Paranormal Order: Initiation, the two often acted as a comedic duo, enjoying silly things together despite the tension of the mission, and behaving like good friends. However, in The Paranormal Order, their relationship never deepened, primarily due to the events of the investigation and Daniel's difficulty in dealing with people.
  • Elizabeth Webber: In the Nostradamus High School Case, Thiago treated Liz like any other person and saw her simply as a colleague. In contrast, in Paranormal Order: Initiation. Thiago and Liz initially had mutual respect and treated each other pleasantly. However, as the case unfolded, they began to constantly argue and were even perceived by Alex as a couple, despite having known each other for only a day. Thiago had not only friendly but also romantic feelings for Liz and expressed them in his own way, even though he wasn't sure if it was mutual. They treated each other well when they weren't arguing, displaying a certain concern for each other. However, they only grew closer after the events of their first mission when Liz saved Thiago and took care of him during his recovery in the hospital.[18] Liz and Thiago eventually became great friends because of all the experiences they went through together, with Thiago seeing her as a protective figure he had never had. This made Thiago have a strong protective instinct towards Liz, wanting to protect her at all costs just as she had protected him.[38][39] Because they had formed a strong bond of friendship, Liz seemed to express her feelings and trust more easily to Thiago than to other group members.[40] Additionally, after his lung surgery, Elizabeth often warned Thiago about smoking,[7] indicating that they both tend to protect each other, just like their other colleagues, in order to avoid losses.
  • Gonzales Medina: Thiago initially viewed Gonzales as an innocent civilian just doing his job. While his intentions towards Gonzales were similar to those of other people not involved with the Order, the two ended up becoming close due to their conversations and Gonzales' involvement in the school fire case.[12] After Gonzales' death, Thiago was deeply emotionally affected, to the point of even arguing with Liz over his death and needing to take a break from the mission's process, spending time drinking and mourning his fallen comrade. In The Paranormal Order, during the battle against the Degolified, Thiago struggled to deal with her due to the emotional instability caused by Gonzales' death, making mistakes in his attacks and hesitating in his actions.[41] During the 10th episode of The Secret in the Forest, due to the attack by the Guilt Parasite, he relived the trauma of seeing Gonzales' manifestation, but he managed to stay composed and control the situation, struggling against the parasite.[42] In addition, Thiago took care of Bolinho, Gonzales' dog, who is currently under the care of Julia, Liz's employee.[43][44]
  • Joui Jouki:Thiago and Joui first met during a paranormal attack near the tomb of Lucille Webber. During the incident, Joui lost three friends, but Thiago and Liz saved his life and defeated the creature. Afterward, he looked at Thiago and Elizabeth with admiration and decided to join the Order to prevent such attacks from happening to innocent people. Due to Joui's impulsive motivation, Thiago saw him as a newcomer in need of guidance and protection in the face of the paranormal.[45] Rakin mentioned that Thiago viewed Joui as a son and tried to protect him at all costs along with Liz.[46][47] Thiago noticed Joui's admiration because it reminded him of the admiration he had for his own father. This made Thiago want to be a fatherly figure to Joui, mirroring his own father for this role.

Trivia[]

  • During the description of his apartment in the The Paranormal Order campaign, Thiago mentioned that it resembled that of a hoarder, with many unnecessary items, revealing that he had Compulsive Hoarding Disorder.[48]
  • Rakin stated that Thiago was a mix of Mercutio from Romeo and Juliet (the tragic comic) and a Byronic anti-hero.
  • Thiago didn't like popular social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram because they posed strong competition to his work as a journalist/reporter.[49]
  • Cellbit revealed that if Thiago had survived The God of Death, he would have been severely burned, and depending on the extent of the injuries, he might have died. However, he could have survived the burns and made it out of Holy Cradle alive.[50]
  • Thiago Fritz was a main character played by Cellbit in several episodes due to the absence of his player, Rakin, in the episodes "The Sanatorium", "Arachnophobia", "Hotel", and "Source".
  • His favorite drink was black coffee.[51]
  • In The Paranormal Order, in addition to his father's watch, Thiago also carried a notebook, but he only used it once to write down the name of Gonzales Medina.[12]
  • According to Rakin, the character's creator, Thiago died the way he always wanted and dreamed, as a hero, just as he believed his father, Arnaldo Fritz, had died.
  • Thiago makes some appearances in the 6th episode of Deconjuration as a hallucination of Elizabeth Webber.[52]
  • Thiago wasn't actually cured of his deafness by The Doctor, so if Thiago had managed to leave Holy Cradle alive, his deafness would have returned.[53]
  • Arnaldo and Thiago had similar pocket watches. Each of them had their own, but inside both were photos of them hugging when they were younger.
  • When Rakin sent the description of Thiago's appearance in The Secret in the Forest he asked for the character to look sickly, especially due to the severe physical and mental injuries sustained during the elimination of the Degolified in the basement of Nostradamus High School. This was also reflected in his clothing and haircut, with neutral colors and simple attire, and his hair shaved.
  • Thiago became the oldest protagonist in all the campaigns after being caught in the Temporal Distortion of The God of Death, dying at the age of 84.
  • Thiago listened to and liked the Metallic Dragons.
