Source is the fifteenth episode of The Secret in the Woods. It aired on July 18, 2020.
Synopsis[]
Team H finds a Team Kelvin's member inside the Labyrinth. He tells about the group's mission in Carpazinha, their arrival in Holy Cradle and his tragic destiny.
Summary[]
Thiago leads Team H through the dark walls of the cave at the center of the Infinite Labyrinth. The team follows, with the journalist feeling a strange pulse guiding him in certain directions. Soon, they come across a series of doors, and, quite forcefully, Joui and Cesar manage to pull the lock off one of them.
Inside, in a white room with the Symbol drawn on the wall, they meet an elderly man, who identifies himself as Kenan Thomas. He says he’s been locked in that place for decades and Liz asks him how he got there. Kenan sighs, and begins to tell his whole story.
Before his mission at Carpazinha, he, Mariana Larona and Miguel Cariad went to a Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood of Liberdade, in São Paulo. There, they met their contact in the Order, Mrs. Verity. As an experienced team, they did not hesitate to leave immediately for a new case: the murder of Rafael Montes, a man found dead on a highway in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, with the symbol engraved on his forehead.
The three members of Team Kelvin are excited by new indications of occultist activity, for that should lead them to two long-persecuted individuals: Eva van Gloss and Eric Jour. Miguel drives his colleagues to the airport, where the three embark for the town of Carpazinha. There, after renting a car, they go to the police station, meeting Victor Rott. The officer says that the last person to see Rafael Montes and his missing family, was the owner of a biker bar near the site, the Ape Hangers.
Hungry, Team Kelvin stops at the first diner they see, the Casper's Diner. They eat the famous Letício's Llonguet and go to the bar, where they discover that there is a show. Kenan, Miguel and Mari question the owner, Ivete Beicur, and meets the members of the Scoundrel Vultures gang, including their leader, Brúlio Cervero, and his son, Arthur Cervero. They decide to stay for the show and sit in the back, occasionally getting up to the mosh pit. Suddenly, Miguel notices a very attractive woman and decides to talk to her. She introduces herself as Laura, resident of a nearby city, called Holy Cradle. Team Kelvin remembers this name from the occultist archives and decides to accompany her there.
Laura guides them inside the forest, until they see the night being changed for the day without light of Holy Cradle. Kenan, Miguel and Mari discover the town in medieval style, with grey-skinned inhabitants, who call themselves by their occupations in place of their names. Laura introduces herself as The Blacksmith, community leader, and introduces her assistant, a huge man named The Blacksmith's Helper. In this, the bell rings, indicating that the night is about to fall in the city, and the Blacksmith advises that the trio stay at the Hotel.
On the place, the Hotelier explains a number of rules for spending the night there, including that they should not open the doors of their room. The three decide to stay in the same room and, in the middle of the night, hear a knock on the door. Team Kelvin opens the door and comes across their deceased mentor, Arnaldo Fritz, accusing them of having forgotten their teachings. Kenan, Miguel and Mari fight their spectre until they destroy him, and wake up confused by what happened. They soon tell what happened to the Hotelier, who seems to hide something from them.
Finally, they decide that they need to report the existence of that town to the Order, and split up. Miguel stays to further investigate Holy Cradle, while Kenan and Mari return to Carpazinha to send their first, and last report. The two find it extremely difficult to leave the village, feeling attracted to staying there. They fight against this, until they return to the Ape Hangers, where they realize they're in the same night they left before, the same night they met Laura.
Trying to understand what is happening, Kenan and Mari send a rather vague report to Mr. Verity, thinking of hiding from the Order the true supernatural nature of the case, until they get more concrete information. The two members of the Order return through the forest to Holy Cradle, and when they find Miguel, they discover that it has been more than two weeks since his friends left the town to send the report.
Miguel reveals that he became the Blacksmith’s lover, mainly for information, and saw a great Symbol engraved on her back. He also says that he caught her entering the Labyrinth at night. Soon, the team theorizes that it is the Symbol that makes it able to navigate among the fog. Even divided by the idyllic life in Holy Cradle, Miguel asks Mariana to engrave the Symbol on his chest.
The member of the Order has an experience in the Infinite Labyrinth, feeling able to guide his best friends. Team Kelvin manages to reach the cave, in the center of the Labyrinth, but ends up ambushed by the Blacksmith and her Helper. Miguel, Kenan and Mariana manage to neutralize the Lusidii, but when the Blacksmith appeals to her lover to stay by her side, in his heart, he feels tempted to betray his team. Suddenly, Miguel makes a crucial decision: he shoots and kills Mariana.
Kenan reacts by throwing a Molotov at Miguel, filling his arms with scars. The Blacksmith argues that the member of the Order would be her new Helper, and would prepare him to be the future Blacksmith, while her current helper had much more potential to be The Miner. Kenan, trapped, hides his backpack with explosives in the walls of the cave, but is soon captured at the request of the Blacksmith. At that moment, the tragic end of Team Kelvin occurred. And since that day, Kenan has been locked in that room, alone, on the brink of madness. While, for all on the outside, only one month had passed in Holy Cradle, decades had passed.

Trivia[]
- For the first time in the series, the events shown in the episode were not set in the present plot. In order to not cause inconsistencies with what had already been presented about Team Kelvin, the players followed a script made by the master, with several points already known in history - something that until now had never happened.
- Calango and Gabi Cattuzzo played Miguel Cariad and Mariana Larona in the flashback about Team Kelvin. This is the first time both played as other characters who were not Liz and Cesar. The only time a player made more than one character in the same episode was in "Hotel", when LJoga played Alex and Cristopher.
- Rakin, that plays Thiago Fritz, was not present during the recording of this episode. In the short time he appeared, his character was played by the master, who followed the player’s guidelines on how he would deal with the plot situations. Cellbit has already revealed that it was the anticipated absence of the player that motivated him to create this episode in special format, so that Thiago could be correctly represented at the end of the season.
- This episode had the streamer Leo Santi as a special cameo, playing Kenan Thomas.
