The Paranormal Order is the first season of the series Paranormal Order. It's a tabletop RPG campaign based on The Esoterrorists system by Robin D. Laws. Organized by streamer and youtuber Cellbit, it stars Alexsander Kothe, Daniel Hartmann, Elizabeth Webber and Thiago Fritz.
The first two episodes of the campaign were released on February 29 and March 7, 2020, on Twitch. The series can also be found on YouTube.
On June 18, 2022, during the event Revealed Secrets, it was announced an adaptation of the campaign as a graphic novel, developed together with famous brazilian writer Fábio Yabu, creator of the online comic book series Combo Rangers and the brazillian franchise Sea Princesses. The main arts are made by Akila, also known as Gabsu, one of the series' colorists. This graphic novel, named Paranormal Order: Initiation, was released on May 8, 2023.[1][2]
Introduction[]
The series "The Paranormal Order" takes place in one universe where two dimensions exists: the normal and the paranormal. The normal is where we live as humans, while the paranormal is a completely different place, where everything that seems impossible can become real, what usually would be linked with spirits, demons and other kinds of abnormalities associated with the after-life, for example.
These two places are separated by a layer called Veil, that prevents the contact between the Normal and the Paranormal. This Veil can be weakened by the increase of fear of the supernatural, leading to horrible and extremely dangerous monsters invading our reality. This phenomenon usually occurs at really specific places, prone to the perception of the fear, like abandoned hospitals, old houses and unactivated asylums.
Around the world many groups were formed, seeking to weak the Veil to its limit in and destroying it, leading to the dimensions fusion, with the goal of pursuing personal desires or, who knows, fulfilling a bigger purpose. The members of those groups are called Occultists (at the time, Esoterrorists).
To prevent this chaos, one global organization was created: Ordo Realitas ("Reality Order", at the time called Ordo Veritatis, "Truth's Order"). Composed by normal people that lives double lifes to stop occultists acts that have as objective the increasing of the society's contact with the paranormal, increasing their fear and, consequently, weakening the veil and allowing the paranormal's intervention.
The story starts at the dawn of February 29, 2020, when the neighborhood of the Nostradamus High School hears a terrifying scream coming from inside the building that, hours before, was consumed by the flames of one unknown fire. This leads the Order to call the rookie agents Daniel Hartmann, Elizabeth Webber and Thiago Fritz to search the local of the incident, where the presence of paranormal activity is suspected. Later, Alexsander Kothe joins the group, first as a suspect, by the fact he had relations with the occultism school members. However, later they figure out that Alex is, in fact, a victim of one ritual of erase memory.

- At July 31, 2021, portuguese and english subtitles were added in both episodes on YouTube. Those subtitles were made and revised by Equipe T, a fanmade group.
- The Paranormal Order is the first and only season, at the moment, to be adapted to a Graphic Novel.
- This is the shortest Paranormal Order season.
- This season is the only one to not have:
- A original soundtrack;
- Character's cosplays from the Players;
- Special guests;
- Episodes endings.
- The Paranormal Order was planned to be a one-shot session, but as Cellbit was not experienced he ended up writing too much to finish in a single session, being extended to two long episodes.[3]
