The Hotelier [2]
The Hotelier, born Hotelier's Son, was a Lusidii and one of several residents of Holy Cradle, where he worked as a hotelier in the largest building in the village, the Holy Cradle Hotel.
He made his first appearance in the 10th episode of The Secret in the Woods, seen by Team H propped up on the Hotel reception desk.[3] The Hotelier ended up dying in flames next to Holy Cradle after the burning of the Dimensions Parasite.
Appearance[]
The Hotelier was a man with long white hair, a white beard, and like all the residents of the village of Holy Cradle, he had gray skin, completely black eyes, pointed ears and stripes on his face, which in his case formed one coming out of each eyebrow and going up the head in a circular fashion and one that crosses horizontally his face below the eye also in a circular fashion going from cheek to cheek. He was wearing a green sleeveless shirt over a long-sleeved white shirt, brown pants and boots, with a few little bags scattered around.[3]
Personality[]
The Hotelier, like everyone else in the village, was nice and very friendly. Because he was responsible for protecting the new ignarus from the creatures of the Hotel, he also had combat skills, even if he appeared to dislike conflicts. The Hotelier showed a certain sloppiness and disorganization, mainly in his room; always seemed to be in his world half traveled and oblivious doing his homework.[3]
The Hotelier ate lunch alone in the Tavern, seeming to be a bit distant from the other inhabitants of Holy Cradle with the exception of Blacksmith, who he seemed to be quite close to. After drinking, he was shown to be paranoid and suspicious of the group due to the murder of The Helper, even going so far as to confront The Blacksmith after he said they were innocent.[4]

The Hotelier was one of the residents of Holy Cradle, being the son of the Third Hotelier of the city. During his childhood, he was trained by his father to deal with the creatures that haunt the Hotel every night. At the age of 6, the Team Kelvin arrives at the Hotel and is received by his Father, at the time responsible for the care and administration of the Hotel.[5] After his father's death, the Hotelier takes his place and becomes responsible for looking after the Ignatians during the night. Sometime between the 13th and the 15th of April, the Hotelier received its first Ignarus, Murilo and Cibele, who later became the Nurse and the Collector.[6]
The Secret in the Woods[]
A few weeks after the arrival of the Nurse and the Collector, the Hotelier is surprised by the unexpected arrival of a new group of Ignarus, the Team H. After assigning their rooms and alerting them to the rules, the Ignarus experience a collective nightmare and the Hotelier has a vision of his father in his dreams, something that should be impossible as in Holy Cradle no one is supposed to dream.[7]
It is not known very well what happened inside the Hotelier's dream but, for some reason, he was furious with his father and punched his painting in the Hotel Lobby, finding a secret compartment in the wall. There, he found his father's diary, which reported his experiments and even torture with animals and monsters from the Holy Cradle, resulting in new creatures.[8] It also said that he was trying to increase the properties of a parasitic entity, with the desire to be able to control his reality while he was dreaming.[9] However, as he matures, the Old Hotelier regrets his actions, and now has to put up with being haunted by his own creations, which they became more aggressive and began to feed on their guilt. Not supporting these aberrations anymore, he ends up committing suicide.[10] After reading this diary, the Hotelier goes to the Tavern to drink and, after a few drinks, he is reunited with the Fireless, and blames them for the death of the Helper.[4] This was his last important appearance before being burned to death after the death of the Parasite of Dimensions.[11]
