The God of Death is the name given to the Relic of Death. This entity of Death with compliments of Knowledge and Fear, also known as Dimensions Parasite, is the entity that controls Time and protects the Chronology, capable to manifest in several places and several forms at the same time through its Time Distortion. When not wielded, the Relic manifests itself in the form of an anachronic civilization, that can variate names such as Holy Cradle, Sacred Start, Divine Principle or Eternal Beginning.^[2]^[3] It is the primordial manifestation of Death in Reality, also being something that surpasses human understanding.

Originally, it manifests itself as a shapeless form capable of infecting an entire area to consume its entropy, in that case, its Potential Energy and the Time from everything alive.^[4] However, the God of Death is able to parasite a dead body from a high paranormal exposure level person by Death, using it as a vessel of an appaling manifestation, with the Ooze completely consuming the person's body.^[5] Although this form has the power to destroy entire civilizations, its unique interest is only to consume the lifetime of everything that exists in Reality.

Its first appearance in Paranormal Order was in the 16th episode of The Secret in the Forest, in the form of a big Ooze Heart in the center of the Holy Cradle created in Carpazinha's forest.^[4] In that time, he parasitized The Blacksmith's body, that died after failing to protect his city,^[6] becoming an extremely powerful creature, with the Ooze consuming its body.^[5] This God of Death was destroyed by Team H, in Thiago Fritz's sacrifice to save everyone from the team.^[7] Later, it appears in the 5th episode of Calamity during the year A.D. 67, in the Ordo Calamitas base, trying to stop The Host's intervention in the chronology of the events.^[8]

Appearance[]

The Dimensions Parasite found in the Holy Cradle Cavern has a gigantic body covered by Ooze very similar to a huge heart, beating at a slow and high pace, such as that of a human being. There is a central point that seems to be where it came from and is suspended in the air 2 meters high by multiple tentacles of Black Ooze of the thickness of tree trunks, that come out of its body and covers the entire floor, walls and ceiling of its chamber, spreading to all nearby areas. Beneath it, more than 20 meters in diameter, there is a huge Spiral Symbol.

The Parasite can, however, parasitize a body to take another form, that is better known as the God of Death. The entity is a huge humanoid figure, with an extremely strong physical build. Its body is completely formed by Ooze, with tendons that simulate the human muscular anatomy, and in its chest, the Ooze tendons twist in a spiral. The face of the original body was completely torn off, having now only its skull exposed. The God of Death manifested in Carpazinha's Holy Cradle parasitized The Blacksmith's body, thus, keeping his long white beard, as well as the stripes of his Lusidii appearance, these now found on the skull of the God of Death. The entity also has metal bracelets on its wrists and ankle, along with several chains attached to its waist, these also items coming from the former body of the Blacksmith. The God of Death can parasitize any dead body that has a high Paranormal Exposure, always consuming the body completely and modeling it with the Ooze tendons to the form of the entity, however, it is not known how much its appearance can vary from one body to the other, having been shown only one manifestation of the entity so far.

Behaviour[]

The Dimensions Parasite is responsible for the existence and continuity of the civilizations known as the Holy Cradle, using the Sources' Potential Energy to create life and prosperity to these civilizations.^[9] The Parasite thus acts completely aggressively to anything that threatens the existence of civilization and the Springs, summoning creatures coming out of its Infinite Labyrinth to attack those who threaten its. The Parasite is also responsible for the Spiral Hypnosis, hypnotizing anyone who comes into contact with its Ooze and the residents of its civilization,^[10]^[11] similarly, the Parasite manifests itself from the Spiral Symbol, being a form of entry into the body or mind of that marked by the symbol.

By parasitizing a body, the Dimensions Parasite abandons its passive stance to directly attack those who threaten its existence; The God of Death behaves completely apathetically, walking with a calm posture of superiority, as if it sees nothing in the Reality worthy of its presence. Wherever it goes, the God of Death takes with it all life around, consuming the time of what is in its way. When attacked, the God of Death walks toward its enemy and grabs it in order to "stop" it in time, making its temporal perception to completely change, as if time passed much slower, aging and eventually leading to madness.^[12] The entity also has the ability to control any nearby Death creatures.^[13]

The God of Death can never really die, because when it is defeated, its body becomes a puddle of ooze and the same seeks the closest dead body, or greater Paranormal Exposure, to parasitize and return to its form.

Abilities[]

Descending Spiral: The God of Death possesses the ability to alter the perception and passage of time of others, that is, when it grabs its victim, it accelerates the passage of time to it and ages it quickly. Meanwhile, time seems to freeze for the victim, seeing the world around it extremely slowly while the creature sucks its Potential Energy, consuming all the life that the person lived during that time.^[12]

Regeneration: When weak or injured, the God of Death can regenerate its body by covering the ooze on the used body and healing the damage it suffered.^[14]

Control the Dead: As the Relic of Death, the God of Death possesses the ability to control all Death creatures around it. Its ability extends to affect corpses that have not gone through the entire transformation process, manipulating them in its favor. This ability could be used in the 16th episode of The Secret in the Forest, when Team H was running away from the burning Holy Cradle, where they would meet a legion of Roottens; Lusidii's dead bodies mortos intertwined with their trees that would have come out of the Trial Woods.^[13]

Temporal Movement: The God of Death can move through time rather than space, thus being present in multiple places simultaneously.^[3]

Destroy the Devil: The God of Death is the only being in Reality able to solve the Enigma of Fear to dizimate The Devil, the Relic of Blood wielder.^[3]

Trivia[]

The God of Death was the first creature in the series to have a special "cutscene" for its appearance.
Its first appearance was much more focused in the form of a giant ape, instead of a form of the Carrion with The Blacksmith.
During the "Revealing The Secret in the Forest", it was revealed that if someone stood in front of The God of Death and tried to stop the "Descending Spiral",^[12] that person would have got punched and receive 1d3+3d6 damage, equivalent to a maximum of 21 damage, and that would kill any member of Team H.^[15]
The God of Death has a theme music named Heilag Vagga, being connected with the island that has the same name.
The God of Death is the creature present in the Paranormal Order RPG Playbook's cover.^[16]
The God of Death is inspired by "Dahaka" from the Prince of Persia games.^[17]
