Paranormal Order RPG: Surviving the Horror
The Deep[1] is an abyssal Energy creature with complement of Blood, often confused with an ordinary animal, a Magnapinna, a species of squid with extremely rare elongating body. By this resemblance, there are survivors who had the displeasure of finding this fearsome creature at the bottom of the sea, feeling the despair that they would become prey to something much worse. Following this, ghost cries echoing, translucent silhouettes making violent movements through the depths, and finally, a red light. The last thing that they could describe.
Appearance[]
A huge creature that appears to be bioluminescent, with transparent greenish skin that resembles a gelatinous matter and has the upper part of its body with humanoid shape, its head shaped like a squid and its face empty. Calculations made by experts states that this part of its body is about two meters. Despite the two meters of the upper part of its body, its tentacles can stretch up to about four times this size, that is, 8 meters.
Through the green on its skin it is possible to see a subtle red glow that seems to get more intense when the creature is about to attack, when it opens its body revealing an abundant amount of small teeth, all pointed. This color is what stains the abyss after this creature tears the body of its victims and melt the corpses in seconds, but also a color that accompanies their body, as it is the first color to leave the luminous spectrum and is used by The Deep, as well as by other marine animals, in the darkness of the ocean depths to camouflage, taking advantage of the lack of light in the abyss.
Behaviour[]
The Deep camouflages itself in the aquatic abyss that lives and emits ghostly sounds that terrorize divers who had the bad luck to find it, then it moves aggressively as a translucent silhouette and when approaching its prey, it captures them with its tentacles, then lacerates them with its teeth after opening their bodies, swallowing the remains and melting, leaving a red stain in the darkness. Even if they try to escape or communicate through some device, they barely can, because the creature can destabilize technological devices close to it and what remains of them are just some recordings of the last moments of the prey that were hunted by the Deep.
