Kian[1]

Team Kian was a group formed and led by Kian, the first Occultist of the history, in which he offered to fight at his side in exchange for something that interested them. The team was formed by Artemis Deordelin Rodrigues, an escribe that was seeking to understand the whispers from a man that she always heard her entire life, the twin brothers Damir Lukic and Boris Lukic that wanted revenge for their father against The Devil, Gal, the leader of the Escribes that concluded his plan of bringing Kian back and was looking for his sister, and Theodore Bagwell, the last member of his family that was dizimated by agents of Ordo Realitas. Kian created this group in order to have his own Markeds, those who are unaffected by the chains of Reality, to get more informations about the Relics of Calamity and carry out his plan to end the paranormal.

History[]

The Leone's Mansion Invasion[]

The Deconjuration is over. After waiting for thousands of years for the right moment, Kian is finally free. He can finally go after and use the Relics of Calamity, use his powers and, finally, have his own side on the history.

It’s a sunny afternoon in Italy. The weather looks calm and peaceful in one of the country’s huge mansions. A flash of green light is seen in a distant part of the garden. A few minutes later, a man opens the big doors of the Leone's Mansion. He holds a machine gun in his hands, while wearing a hat with the coat of arms of the Famiglia Leone. He enters the imposing mansion and observes another man sitting at the table. When approaching the Leone from the reception, the man with the machine gun deforms into flesh, turning into Gal.[2] The man who was sitting, upon realizing what happened, tries to quickly grab his gun, but is stopped by the Escribe, that plunges his Ereshkigal blades into his belly, killing him slowly. After that, at the entrance of the mansion, several Escribes begin to invade the place through the large doors. Among them, four figures stand out: Artemis, T-Bag and the twins Damir Boris.

T-Bag, After seeing the Leone’s dead body on the reception, quickly approaches and eats his ear. The group of Escribes, then starts planning their next steps, but are interrupted by a burst. Alonzo, Brando, Chiara and Ângela, members of Famiglia Leone, takes down the double door that gave access to the staircase of the mansion.[3] A battle starts.

Damir curses his walking cane and gives to Boris, T-Bag uses his ritual to vomit larvae on the ground in order to delay the Leones, Gal just waits sitting at the reception desk, while Artemis tries to take it down, with no success, so she gets her sniper and starts aiming. Boris unites Damir's cane with his scythe, and with both united, he makes a big Paranormal Scythe with Sigils of Knowledge in a yellow tone. Alonzo, one of the Leones, passes through T-Bag's larvae and takes it down the desk where Gal was, but he comes out unscathed. Brando tries to shoot Gal, but misses. Damir uses his Blood Armor Ritual on Boris, and T-Bag gets his bow, shooting Chiara, but with no much effect. Gal tries to pass above the desk and with Ereshkigal on hands, strikes Brando causing massive damage and leaving the Leone dying in the floor, while Artemis shoots directly, blowing up Ângela's shoulder, the woman also falling in the floor dying. The battle continues. Boris attacks Chiara with his huge scythe, but she manages to deflect and counterattack him, but he is protected by his blood armor. Alonzo then takes advantage of Boris' distraction to attack him as well, but the armor Damir summons is very resistant and his punches have no effect. T-Bag, seeing this situation, approaches Alonzo from behind and attacks him stealthily, partially cutting his throat with a knife, until Gal, already without patience, tries to knock Alonzo in the larvae vomited by T-Bag. Artemis takes aim with her rifle and shoots Chiara flat, while Boris attacks Alonzo and tears his chest using his scythe. The already angry Leone grabs Gal and punches him in the face several times. Chiara then flees desperately from the battle. Damir uses his Blackout Ritual in Alonzo that gets confused, Gal seeing the Leone vulnerable, decides to throw him into the larvae of T-Bag, who begins to devour him. After this, the Escribe sees Angela agonizing on the ground and uses his Ereshkigal to finish her, opening her head in the middle with an attack. Artemis shoots Alonzo, but doesn't cause much effect, Boris then finishes him off with an attack on the head of his Knowledge Scythe. Brando, who was lying on the ground, ends up bleeding to death.

After the end of this fight, some allies appear, including Rana and other two escribes, named Caleb and Dagan. They start checking the lobby notebook and analyze the layout of the mansion, translating some things into Italian. After approaching the refrigerator door, the escribes hear someone inside. Damir conjures again a ritual on Boris to create another Blood Armor. The brothers enter the room with T-Bag and inside there was Enzo Leone, who wore two combat gloves, both with "Leone" marked on them. Watching them approach, the man inside presses a button that immediately locks the fridge, and the temperature begins to drop. Damir, Boris and T-Bag are trapped there with him.[4]

Realizing the trap, T-Bag hides behind the meats and pulls out his bow, while Damir approaches and uses his Disturbing Ritual on Enzo, having no success. He angrily approaches and punches Damir twice. The cold of the refrigerator begins to take effect, everyone in the room begins to feel their bodies slow and heavy, except for Enzo himself. Damir flees and Boris approaches to protect his brother, and the Leone then attacks Boris with his brass knuckles. T-Bag fires his bow, and the arrow pierces Enzo’s eye, injuring and destabilizing him. The man, already extremely injured, tries to attack Boris, but to no avail. The Escribe then counterattacks and knocks Enzo to the ground, stomping and blowing his head off, ending the fight.[5]

T-Bag presses the button that makes the refrigerator stop freezing and the doors open. In a relaxed moment, T-Bag takes advantage of the hug of Artemis and snaps her Gambá, devouring it right away.[6] Upon seeing this, Artemis becomes furious and points her pistol at T-bag, who does not understand why she is acting like this and, after a brief discussion, Gal interrupts the fight threatening to kill them both if they do not focus on the mission. Seconds later an Escribe, Alef, appears, and Gal asks him to blow up the refrigerator that hides the passage to the Leone's base. Meanwhile, the group rises to the second floor, after one of the Escribes tells them that they had managed to surround one of the family leaders, Patrizia Leone.

The Escribes on their way, pass through the dead Leone bodies all over the house, and upon arriving in the office room, Gal and Artemis comes in to interrogate the leader of the Leone. They question how to open the vault in the bunker below the mansion. Artemis tries to use her ritual to bewitch her, but Patrizia just ignores the ritual and starts talking about how Kian's plan doesn't make sense, and that he'll fail. She then begins to question the Escribes, talking about how family should be the most important thing, and if any of them even had any in their lives, until, while Gal and Artemis were relatively distracted by their speech, she pulls some needles and throws them on the floor.[7] Immediately, hundreds of needles are thrown from one side of the room to the other, a trap.

The three present are struck, and while Gal and Artemis are affected by the needle’s hallucinogen, Patrizia convulses to death. After being cared for by Rana, the Escribes begin to analyze the room, finding a transfer file of some Leone to the Ordo Realitas base at Brazil and a conversation on a cell phone, which contained the bunker password. They hear a large explosion coming from the refrigerator, the result of the explosion that Alef did.

They go back to the fridge and see a secret passage down a spiral staircase. At the end of the staircase, they find a corridor with a door that gives access to a room, positioning itself before Alef blows it up. After the smoke ceased, one of the Leones in the room, Roberta, who was aiming, just waiting for someone to show up, takes two shots at Gal who was at the front, starting a fight.

After receiving the shots, Gal notices the presence of two other Leones, Dario Leone and Lorenzo Leone. He quickly hurls one of his Ereshkigal at Dario, but Dario blocks. Artemis pulls out her gun and starts to aim, Damir quickly curses his cane and gives to Boris that unites with his Scythe creating again the Knowledge Scythe, after which he enters the room. Dario then grabs Gal so that Roberta could shoot him, but the Escribe can get loose and stay away from the Leones. Artemis takes a shot that hits Roberta, Boris attacks Dario who deflects and tries to grab him, unsuccessfully, he then tries to punch Boris twice, the Escribe manages to defend the first blow, but is hit hard by the second. Roberta takes advantage of this moment and shoots Boris and Gal, but only hits Lukic. T-Bag hits Dario right with one of his arrows, and Gal performs his Deadly Speed Ritual. Artemis also uses her ritual to curse her weapon. Damir then performs two rituals, the first summons again his Blood Armor on Boris and the second creates two identical copies from the Escribe. After receiving the Blood Armor from his brother, Boris steps on Dario and, after taking a punch from the Leone, attacks him with his scythe on his head, killing him instantly. They then see the machine gun turrets, once hidden in the ceiling, start shooting at the own Leones, who do not understand what happened. Lorenzo falls dying after the shots, and Roberta extremely injured tries to flee desperately. T-Bag pulls out one more of his arrows, calmly approaches Lorenzo agonizing on the ground and finishes him with a straight arrow to the forehead. Gal, with a kind of superhuman speed coming from his Ritual, quickly approaches Roberta who was on the other side of the room, he jumps and plunges his two blades into her head, stopping on top of the dead Leone on the floor.

After some time arguing, they proceed to the corridor with two side rooms and, in front, the vault door. Artemis tries to open the vault, unsuccessfully, while someone shouts from the other side of the door. Gal opens a room with several weapons, and Boris kicks the other door, which is also answered by someone. Opening that door, they find the camera room, where Alfredo Leone, a member of the secondary family, who had been humiliated and despised, operated. He says that it was he who used the machine guns to attack the Leone in the previous battle. Alfredo also says that he locked the family leader in the vault, and realizing how strong the Escribes, wanted to join the group to feel strong at least once.

Waiting for what they will find behind the vault door, the group positions themselves, while Rana, who had arrived to talk with the Escribes, climbs the stairs again after having a brief conversation with Gal about calling "someone". In the midst of an argument, Alef shoots with his bazooka at the vault door after Artemis tells him to. The door, even hit, remains intact, but inside, the Escribes can hear a person, who begins to throw several punches, pushing the door, which opens slightly, revealing a man with a brown beard, wearing a black hat and a monocle, holding in his hands a flail with the head of a golden lion. That was the leader of the Leones, the last member of the family still standing in the mansion to face them. Marco Leone was facing Kian's markeds. A battle starts.

Marco runs and uses his flail to attack T-Bag, knocking him down, while the Escribes attack from all sides. After a shot from Artemis, Marco retaliates with his flail that sticks to the woman’s chest, almost as if the lion bites her. After this, the leader pulls out his weapon, taking Artemis along with him to the vault. Marco then hurls the Escribe against the wall dealing massive damage. Gal throws his Ereshkigal at the Leone, who holds them and pulls the Occultist to himself. However, two straight arrows from T-Bag gouge out his eyes, finishing him.[8]

Shortly after the death of Marco, Rana returns to the underground, bringing the "someone" who had promised. An extremely strong man with several shiny tattoos on his body, shaved hair, wearing only pants and bandages wrapped around his hands, with a large beard, possessing yellow eyes that stood out. Kian, the first Occultist of history, decided to end the paranormal, walks down the corridor, heading to the vault, while Gal reverences him and the others allow his passage.

He points out that he cannot act while the Masks' agreement is still up, and that after the Calamity is accomplished, nothing will have relevance or even exist. He inserts a password into the vault, which opens and reveals various documents, documents that talk about 'somewhere', but shortly after, he notices something. The walls of the vault begin to bleed, while all the papers are stained with blood, with the Pact's Symbol marked on it. Boris and Damir instantly recognize that this is the same symbol seen in the circus massacre of Lucas Davo. Muffled screams and gunshots are heard from the top floor, but no more Leones were alive in that moment. Something was killing the Escribes.

Alef picks his communicator, hearing only cries of Escribes, who mentions The Devil itself. Kian, upon hearing this, realizes that it will be too easy to fulfill his part of the deal with the Lukic Brothers, and begins to take the way back, being followed by everyone. When returning to the main floor, even knowing what they would find, the shock is inevitable: blood gushed everywhere and several bodies of dead Escribes, cut, torn, destroyed, thrown to the ground. Several of them, still alive, looking at the door, from where a hooded silhouette, stepping on top of the dismembered bodies of the scribes, waited for the group. But, below that hood, where supposedly should have the iconic Devil's horns, there was an object. A face. A mask.[9]

This figure held a katana with spiral details, bloody, and had a rope tied around his neck. The presence of that man surprises even Kian, that doesn't understand why the Masks were acting. From behind the mask, a scream, of someone totally taken by hatred, calling for Luciano echoes in the hall, while a shadow of someone, never seen by everyone in the room, appears behind Kian, muttering few words and summoning a huge fog. After being dispelled, the man and Kian disappear, leaving the group of Escribes facing that person standing at the door of the great mansion. A person who at this moment thinks only of revenge. Upon removing his mask, that man standing at the door of the Leone's Mansion reveals himself to be someone the Escribes already knew, but did not expect to meet again. Behind that mask was a man who lost a lot at the hands of the Occultists.

Joui Jouki, with his consciousness back and taken by hatred, meets Gal again, having a brief dialogue with him. But, being blinded by anger, Joui teleports in the shadows in front of one of the escribes, punches him in the chest and rips out his heart. Rana starts to scream that she needs time to open the portal, and she frights seeing Joui, who remembers when she paralyzed him at the orphanage and made him see Elizabeth die in front of him. Gal tries to calm the spirits, and Rana tries to paralyze Joui again, but to no avail, only to irritate him by reminding him of the same feeling of paralysis.

Three escribes advance upon Joui, who uses his Despair Gaze to paralyze one and kicks another onto the table. Boris charges, trying to strike Joui, that dodges and counterattacks. Damir increases his ritual range and casts his Blood Armor on Boris, while T-Bag takes position to shoot. Artemis leaves the room, using her transformation ritual, and returning as Patrizia Leone, pretending to be gagged.

Gal, seeing the chance of a flank, advances to attack Joui, that notices and uses his Shadow Teleport to the back of the occultist. And it is in that moment, that just like Joui said once, Gal would know what it's death: the japanese cuts Gal’s back and, in a second attack, cuts off his left arm, leaving him to die on the ground. He continues his charge, delivering yet another attack on another escribe and releasing another scream, completely enraged. Boris retreats to close to Damir and while Gal cries out to Kian for him to save him, Dagan emerges advancing upwards from Joui, but the escribe is held and thrown by the masked man onto the false Patrizia Leone, which Joui clearly perceives. T-Bag positions himsrlf again and hits two arrows in the japanese, while a escribe holding a skull scares Gal’s arm, which makes Joui have a flashback of Arthur having his arm scared at Holy Cradle. The masked man also notices that one of the Ereshkigal blades has fallen to the ground and uses it to tear the escribe that healed Gal in half. He advances towards the door, putting his mask back on, and Boris tries to pull him to stop him, but Joui counterattacks him again, yelling at him not to disturb him. Damir heals his brother and T-Bag again hits more arrows at Joui, while Artemis takes her gun back and gets behind Dagan. The door opens, and Rana shows the portal made for the escribes to escape. Some begin to jump in, such as Gal and Alef, while Joui just watches. He teleports to behind T-Bag, wounding him and screaming in anger, and then using his Despair Gaze on Artemis, but to no avail. Boris tries to advance again on Joui, but Damir asks him to return and go to the portal. He pulls the brother towards the portal, where Dagan also jumps, as well as T-Bag and Artemis who run and throw themselves, leaving only Rana alone with the portal open.

Joui looks at the escribe, who resists his gaze, but does not resist being held, being asked where everyone is going. A brief dialogue about the feelings of power of the current moment and the moment of death of Liz is made, and right after, Joui throws Rana in the floor, making the portal close. He takes his katana, and starts slicing the girl’s body, saying he will go to hell to kill all the Escribes, one by one, sticking the katana in her chest as the final blow.

Arrival at Domus Aurea[]

Kian's markeds are teleported to St. Menefreda Orphanage, where Kian finally appears. He says to them to go to the Golden House, built by NeroDomus Aurea, connected to Semper Clausa through its undergrounds.

They don't take long to arrive there. Gal receives a message that urges him to send a photo. In doing so, in the same scenario as the photo sent, Kian appears again. He briefly explains what happened to the occurrence of his disappearance.[10] After the search for a passage to the Ordo Calamitas base ruins, Alef finds it and the escribes follow Kian down a dark corridor and observe the statue of Veritus with the wretched semblance. When Kian touches the statue, he falls unconscious.[11]

After a while, he gets up and speaks of how he remembers this place, mentioning that Arnaldo Fritz is waiting for him. The escribes arrive where Kian indicated that they should enter and where they had kept the Relic of Blood in the past. Kian convinces them to enter. Upon opening the door, the team notices several cells and notices grunts. However, a Armored Blood Zombie knocks down the door of its cell and attacks Boris, that hits with a strong attack. Gal uses his Ereshkigal and T-Bag finishes the monster with an arrow. However, one more becomes visible. Boris and Gal again attack it and T-Bag shoots him in the mouth. Artemis shoots with her sniper; destroying it, finally, with a shot in the mouth.[12]

The escribes walk down a corridor, noticing a low sound. Upon arriving in a room, they see a large statue of a headless monster, which Damir identifies as a minotaur. The low sounds continue and T-Bag even hear a sound of a mechanism. In this room, the team comes across the largest creature they had ever seen: the Cyclops. It is a bald, fat being whose ribbons that hold it cause painful bruises. It is from the Cyclops that originates the mechanism sound previously heard by T-Bag, since the monster is disemboweled and fastened to the floor by gears that seem to be interconnected with a trapdoor on the other side of the room. Every time the Cyclops moves, the gears turn it. In his head lies a single red eye, whose power paralyzes anyone who faces him.[13]

There is the attempt of stealth of the group, but Boris makes a sound and, in a misfortune, the group stares at the grotesque eye. Some are stunned, although others manage to distract the monster so that it turns and opens the trapdoor. When it is revealed that at this location there is a Crossbow, the group quickly notices that it is out of ammunition. With stealth, the escribes manage to turn the corridor and find a locked door. However, as they ascend to the other part of the bifurcation, they find the beginning of a labyrinth. There’s dried blood on the ground in the shape of footprints of a creature, which they deduce is the Minotaur.

Rounding the labyrinth, the group finds an ancient plaque whose design informs three people facing a Minotaur: one of them has a ball of wool, the second has a dagger and the last holds a red cape. Next door, a lever is revealed. When the team unlocks it, all doors immediately close. In a bloodstain coming from the wall, a grotesque figure appears with blood bulbs covering his body and one of its hands joined symbiotically to a bone axe. It's the Minotaur. In fury, the monster growls and runs towards the escribes.[14]

The fight begins. The group discusses whether or not to attack the Minotaur, although they are often attacked and run over by the hate-filled monster. The escribes decide, therefore, to seek the three items of the painting previously seen. Notoriously, they find them; even if they are seriously injured in this process. T-Bag, with the dagger tied to one of his arrows, is caught by the Minotaur. However, he sticks the arrow in the monster’s eye and breaks it, progressing the painful and agonizing blood infection that the Minotaur felt. Gal uses the red cape, drawing the enemy’s attention, making it go uncontrollably towards the object stuck in the wall with the Ereshkigal. Artemis manages to hit it with a strong shot. Gal then moves his weapon with the chains and finishes the Minotaur, attacking it in the back of the head.[15]

The Minotaur’s severed head is placed on the statue, revealing a key. Driving up a staircase whose destination is a Church of Blood, the team finally arrives at the place where Kian informed them previously that the Relic of Blood would be. The church is completely bloodied. Its stained glass windows are red and there is a red carpet in the shape of the Blood Symbol, that extends to a small staircase. Where there would be an altar, a throne lies. As they approach, the team sees a door being open. Gal recognizes the voice that forces the door; and of the things he least expected in that place, his favorite band was one of them. Team Kian is face to face with the Metallic Dragons.[16]

And another battle starts. Gal is in shock, discredited that the members of his favorite band are now his enemies. Still, they fight the same way. The escribes don’t attack first. The band uses a shield, protecting the members, to which one of the members throws a flashbang towards the escribes. They also use an incendiary in Artemis, Boris and Damir. T-Bag shoots at Leandro's jugular, leaving him dying in the ground. Gal knocks Marcos down, but Roberto, with his skills, makes both colleagues stand up and Leandro is healed Kurt shoots Boris, but Damir heals him. T-Bag kills Marcos even after they heal him. The escribes kill Roberto like Marcos, but the Dragons make Artemis fall with a shotgun. Kurt is killed by Gal. Leandro, seeing the whole scene, in which all his friends of years are dead, walks to Artemis agonizing on the floor and explodes the woman’s head with a shot.[17] Eventually, he is shot in the back of the head by T-Bag. It is the end of the Metallic Dragons.

Boris, aftr seeing the scene, wishes to take Artemis' body elsewhere, whereupon T-Bag takes the young girl’s paw amulet and hangs it around his neck. However, Kian shows up. The Realizer of the Calamity addresses his followers, ensuring that they should not cling to bodies and deaths, as nothing would have happened after the Calamity. Unable to do anything to contradict him, Boris and the other escribes watch Kian perform the Unexist Ritual on Artemis' deceased body. Dagan appears and is presented by Gal with the red cape and medallion of the Metallic Dragons. Under Kian’s order, all present leave the room - except Gal, with whom Kian wishes to converse.

The Realizer of the Calamity again begins a monologue, underscoring the importance of Gal to get his powers, and explains that he is more powerful than he could have imagined. Kian opens one of his hands and demonstrates a sublime translucent, mesmerizing and magnificent flame to the younger escribe. For Gal, it is like watching a glimpse of God. This flame gradually takes on sharper proportions and becomes the Blade of Fear, which pass through Gal’s stomach by its master.

Kian’s look of contempt is the last thing Gal can look at before his master leaves the room, leaving him alone with someone who would do anything — even betray Ordo Realitas — for her revenge. For Tristan and for Team Spies.

In the gloom, Gal sees the look of hatred of Clarissa Leão, who starts yelling at him while he’s on the ground shouting Kian’s name. Clarissa begins to torture Gal, cutting him off as the man howls in pain. After a few moments, Dagan appears, shouting for Gal. Clarissa uses her machine gun to kill him in cold blood and Gal despairs more. The girl pulls out the blindfolds of the escribe and takes out one of his eyes, which are completely white. The escribe, still screaming, promises to take revenge on Kian, as well as Clarissa if she does not help him.

And while all of this happened, Team Vultures was face-to-face with The Host, alongside The Devil, who says it's fed up with rules and the Knowledge. This resulted in it offering a choice to the team, showing, on a purple TV with glitches, a video showing Gal being hurt by Kian and Clarissa torturing him right after.[18]

The choice was: leave Gal to die or save him if they press the button that showed up in front of the TV. The members start to discuss about, and Joui tries to stop Arthur and Dante from saving him, but ends up failing. In the end, Arthur presses the button and Gal is taken by a rose flame.[19]

The Markeds' Fight[]

Before the Vultures' arrival at The Colosseum, Kian talks and heals his remaining marked, T-Bag and the Lukic brothers, leading them to the place. There, they meet Agatha and Arnaldo Fritz's grimoire. None of the team markeds attacks her, though Kian himself teleports ahead and grabs her by the neck. In this moment, Team Vultures enter the Colosseum. Kian talks and creates illusions to keep his markeds at his side. The Magistrate emerges and holds Kian, so Team Vultures could gain time. The Markeds' battle begins.

However, during the fight, Joui Jouki is the first to try to convince the members of Team Kian to turn against their master, demonstrating to them that the illusion previously created by Kian - which showed the members of Team Vultures accepting a deal with The Devil — was a lie. Right next, it's Carina Leone's turn to ensure that she wouldn't attack them, disarming herself. She says that, unlike what Kian said to his team, Gal was betrayed by his master; mentioning that he had been saved by Team Vultures through a choice made by The Host.

Dante is the last to try to convince them by releasing them from his tentacles and using a ritual that shows some of his memories on Damir Lukic. Proposing a break, the Vultures assure that they would stop The Devil after the battle against Kian. Teaming up with Team Vultures, T-Bag, Damir and Boris Lukic put together a strategy.

Kian returns after defeating and killing The Magistrate. But he notices that his markeds turned against him and tries to attack him. However, before he could kill T-Bag, Mr. Verity jumps from the second floor, and with a hidden truth that not even Kian could know, he shocks the Realizer of the Calamity. Team Vultures and their recent allies go after Kian, attacking him. The First Occultist uses the Blade of Fear to pierce Boris, causing him to fall instantly. Carina Leone then completes the Grimoire and erases from existence all the rituals and skills to cast them from Kian. Kian’s tattoos blink and both Kian and Carina scream with their eyes glowing in shades of white.

And the battle against Kian starts. With no rituals, The Realizer of the Calamity charges with brute force. Team Vultures and Kian's old markeds charges to attack him. In the middle of the battle, Kian tries to attack Damir with Joui's katana, but ends up missing, however he knocks him out after the Lukic tried to alert his brother not to move. With this, Kian notices Boris is still alive, agonizing in pain and trampling on Boris’ head, taking every chance he had to complete his goal with his brother, while his last vision was of his brother on the brink of death.

The fight continues and Dante moves away, preparing his Eco Dolor. Arthur, that arrived after Kian killed Joui, instantly pulls his rifle and leaves a box with Rubens. Damir, who was almost going crazy after seeing his brother dead, uses his Blood Armor Ritual on Dante. Carina goes after Kian, but is grabbed by him and ends up being beaten, getting extremely injured. Seeing this scene, Dante and Damir use rituals to heal Carina’s wounds. Kian then continues to attack all of the agents and Markeds present, taking down and killing T-Bag exactly like he killed Boris.

Damir, in complete fury, uses the Uncontrollable Rage Ritual on himself, drawing Kian 's attention to get off his dead brother’s body. Arthur uses his Blade of Blood to temporarily finish Kian, attacking him on his forehead. While Kian is down and unconscious, the Ordo Realitas agents place the mysterious ring on his finger. The object turns into an apparatus. The chains that connect to the ring form a bracelet, which wraps around both of Kian’s hands; and then a helmet and robes are created that obstructs the Realizer of the Calamity’s vision. Kian, the first occultist, is contained.

Damir Lukic, the only survivor of Kian's markeds, accompanies Team Vultures, but not entering the big Leone's Mansion, due to this conclusion that he already had disrespected the family too much. The group spends their time resting and then go to Brazil. Damir, before being arrested in one of the cells of the Ordo Realitas Base, calls Carina Leone and donates all of his family’s money, claiming he never needed it. Damir then accepts his arrest and states to the Vultures when to call him, then ending the story of Team Kian.

Members[]

Leader[]

  • Kian: The first Occultist in history. He is considered by his followers as the "God of Knowledge" and there are records of his cult, the Escribes, having existed for over 4000 years in ancient Sumer. He was able to survive to the present day using a specific ritual sequence, known as "Passage", thus transferring his mind and knowledge through various hand-picked receptacles chosen by Tirigan. Kian returned as a Marked through the Deconjuration Order, completed by Gal, the leader of the Escribes. Leading his team of Markeds, he heads to his goal of finding the Relics of Calamity to then carry out his plan to destroy the Paranormal.

Markeds[]

  • Artemis Deordelin Rodrigues: One of the Markeds from Kian's side, Artemis was a skilled occultist and shooter that always carried in her pockets her pet sarue, "Gambá", even after it was devoured by one of her allies. Artemis had voices in her head that told her to do things she didn’t want, being called "The Man" by her, with her goal being to find out what those voices are, and Kian offering to help her in exchange for fighting by his side. Artemis, in the fight against the Metallic Dragons, ended up seriously injured in the flames of an incendiary grenade thrown by one of the agents, being killed by Leandro Hans with a shotgun blast that blew her head off.
  • Boris Lukic: One of the Markeds from Kian's side, working with the Escribes. Boris was a man of great stature, fair skin and enlarged muscles, with a face full of age marks, gray hair and light green eyes. He had a serene, obedient and even naive personality. Together with his twin brother, Boris counted on Kian to carry out the agreement that was promised, dealing with revenge against The Devil itself, the responsible for the death of his father. However, after turning against Kian along with his team, Boris had his head crushed by the Occultist, resulting in his tragic death.
  • Damir Lukic: One of the Markeds from Kian's side, recruited by Gal. Damir is a stylish occultist who always remains close to his brother, Boris Lukic. Damir is a middle-aged bald man, being 5.74 feet tall, the visible eye being green in tone and the other hidden behind a black eye patch, with one of his hands covered by text tattoos. Damir is an arrogant man, convinced and extremely dependent and attached to his brother. Together with him, Damir counted on Kian to carry out the agreement that was promised, dealing with revenge against The Devil itself, the responsible for the death of his father. However, Damir turned on Kian along with his team, but ended up in the tragic death of his twin brother, causing the Occultist to the brink of madness. Currently, Damir remains trapped in the cells of the Ordo Realitas Base, warning that the agents "know when to call him".
  • Gal: The leader of the Escribes responsible by Kian's returnal through the Deconjuration Order. As one of the Marked alongside the Realizer of the Calamity, Gal is shown to be a very centered and direct person when on mission, being described as someone who wants to fulfill his goal in a linear and objective manner without many unnecessary shenanigans. After the betrayal of his leader, who leaves him to die at the hands of Clarissa, the Escribe begins to harbor a deep hatred for his old idol, screaming endlessly that it would kill him.
  • Theodore Bagwell: Also called T-Bag, was one of the Markeds from Kian's side, assisting him in his plans to destroy the paranormal with the help of other Occultists and Escribes, despite being more interested in helping him survive. Theodore was a middle-aged man, with a thin, frayed countenance, he had dark, yellowish eyes, long nails, pointed teeth, scars all over his body and a white hair and the top of his head completely bald. His deal with Kian was about T-Bag taking his revenge on the agents of the Order that killed his family. However, after turning against Kian along with his team, T-Bag had his head crushed by the Occultist, resulting in his tragic death.
