Hey! This one, hihi, is Sukkal! And I know what you're thinking now: "Oh no! It's impossible to be Sukkal!" She will devour your mind!
Sukkalgir is a Energy paranormal creature with a complement of Knowledge, arising from torture through flames. She originated in ancient Sumer through a maddening process that burned the victim's skin with the horrific deeds of their captor.
Her first appearance was in the 4th episode, being seen chained to Gal along with Enpap-X while getting out of a truck at St. Menefreda Orphanage.[2] She manifested herself from the mutilated and tortured body of Thelma, formerly children's caretaker at the orphanage.
However, only in the 6th episode, during the D-Force's attempted escape from the orphanage, she was seen more clearly, staying close to the agents while still chained to Gal.[3] Later, in the 19th episode, Sukkalgir appears at the Corridors underneath the Devilish Mansion chasing the agents until eventually engaging in combat with them after Anthony Scelto uses a ritual that causes her transformation.[4] She was killed by Dante, who gives her a clear shot.[5]
Appearance[]

Initially, this grayish creature has the same characteristics as an Existed, with an extremely thin female appearance, with gray hair that begins at the back of the neck, without a forearm and with a large, abnormally sized mouth, where it releases hoarse sounds.[2] Her skin is marked by several texts containing horror stories and words of fear, and the large metal stake in the middle of its chest is also notable, along with other underneath their ribs, which have large fabric ribbons attached and a pendant, in addition to having a firm necklace attached to its neck that serves to guide its along the chain on which it is pulled at all times. A powerful aura emanates around her that deforms the environment.[6] On her forehead, her new name, written in Sumerian: Sukkalgir.

During her transformation, reality distorts and the light from the environment is sucked into her body and, when transformed, Sukkalgir's body takes on a form of Energy and Chaos that dresses her with the appearance of flames in a greenish tone. In a similar way to the Existed, the large amount of texts spread throughout her body light up, as does your interior with them. But in her case, the luminous writings move and float. Furthermore, the mouth of this ghostly creature opens into a great macabre smile that makes it impossible to put an end to its tormenting and desperate scream.[4]
Behavior[]
Sukkalgir, at first, acts like an ordinary Existed most of the time, just wandering around in a trembling and rickety way close to some individual, but without pronouncing her name or calling out for Kian, only producing the same guttural sounds.[6] While bound by chains, the creature reacts little, but when released, Sukkal chases a victim in an attempt to drive it insane.
The speed at which she moves can vary depending on two main factors: being observed or being attacked, becoming faster proportionally according to the number of people when observed or times she is attacked.[7] The moment she is close enough to her victim, the creature will attempt to bite it, draining its sanity and filling its mind with information from the Other Side.[8]
When transformed, Sukkalgir emits a terrifying, deafening and uninterrupted scream, capable of driving her victims crazy.[4] This new appearance is so disturbing that just looking at it causes great discomfort, and can take away more minds. weak to madness simply by its presence. When she is on the verge of its destruction, Sukkalgir's body detonates itself, creating shock waves that affect the mind of anyone who witnesses her last blow.[9]
Abilities[]
- Bite from the Other Side: Upon receiving a bite from Sukkalgir in the head region, the victim's mind is damaged by the creature that drains its sanity. The individual is invaded with horrible ideas in a fractal form, affected by the Knowledge and Chaos of the Other Side that distort their perception of reality.[8]
- Plasma Spirit: Because she is partially intangible, some of the objects that interact with Sukkalgir's body only pass through it.[10]
- Desperate Aura: Those who witness Sukkalgir after undergoing its transformation have their sanity affected.[11] This skill works in a similar way to Bite from the Other Side, but its effect is on a larger area.
- Despair Scream: Sukkalgir is capable of producing a shrill scream that releases impulses responsible for distorting the space around it and the light in the environment. This Energy wave in the area causes everyone who is hit to have their minds invaded and their sanity damaged.[12]
- Flying: Sukkalgir has the ability to move through the air after her transformation.[13]
- Paranormal Explosion: When Sukkalgir is defeated, she begins to shine with different beams of Energy and, when she releases it, it causes reality itself to distort and advances towards everything nearby. Even targets who are hidden are affected and run the risk of having their minds practically torn apart.[9]
Trivia[]
- A tablet from the Uruk III period (3200-3000 BC) describes Enpap-X and Sukkalgir as 2 slaves in the possession of Gal-Sal. The symbol referring to the word "slaves" derives from 2 symbols (Kur and Sal), which respectively represent male and female slaves.[14][15] These facts were the inspiration for both Sukkal's name and that of Enpap-X and Gal.
- When Hugo Longo was being watched by Jushur during his stay in the Passage Corridors, he was forced to play a game.[16] In this game the objective was to hunt targets inside a maze exactly the shape of the Corridors. What this implied, and which was later confirmed, was that, in fact, it was Hugo who was controlling Sukkal at that time.
- Sukkal's powers, in terms of sucking things like a black hole (in this case sanity and light after her transformation), take into account that her name has a similar pronunciation to the words "Suck All".
- The fact that Sukkalgir is pronounced "Sukkal" is simply because it sounds better phonetically. This is the same factor for Enpap-X.
- Sukkalgir's sheet was revealed in one of Cellbit's "Behind the Scenes" tweets.[17]
- Sukkalgir has two theme songs: "She is Coming" and "Sukkal".
