TV Varminho is the sixth episode of Signals from the Other Side. It aired on December 3, 2022.
Synopsis[]
The call echoes stronger. Xande, Chico, Guizo and Lírio finally arrive at the heart of the problem: the TV Varminho's Tower. And the dangers of this transmission tower promise to complicate your goals of saving Dara and Morato.
Summary[]
A group that gathered in a pizzeria to be able to have fun and receive information about their upcoming missions. And now, they’re in a dangerous jam, which leads them to the TV Varminho's Tower. Xande, Chico, Guizo and Lírio finally arrived. Their goal. The place where Dara and Morato are. The time has come to save them and return to live quietly hunting Aliens around the world.
The four begin to observe the station’s giant broadcast tower and begin to investigate outside it. Xande enters the guardhouse next door and finds a letter from someone complaining about his shift having ended long ago and that Raul has not yet returned. Guizo begins to walk through the parking lot, while realizing that all the cars present there seem to have been there for a long time, with their windows all dusty. Chico and Lírio work together to analyze the terrain, and Xande begins to walk to the reception door, noticing a desk in front. He then begins to circle the building, noticing two men in suits in the background. The rest of the group continues to analyze the reception, with Chico noticing that the reception desk looks normal, except for a huge smile that she does not take off her face. The group tries to plan something to ambush the two men in suits, but Lírio fails to be stealthy as he walks past the woods, being found by the two men. He grabs his Leonora and advances on the men, and Xande noticing the flaw in stealth, advances with his skateboard along.
Guizo uses his ritual to try to disguise himself as one of the men in suits, while Lírio and Xande begin to tear the two men in suits with their weapons. One of the men tries to escape by climbing the building, but is caught by Xande who kills him as well. The group then tries to get the clothes of the aliens to try to disguise themselves, but realize that the suit seems to be part of their skin. They then begin to enter through one of the back doors, and Chico begins to investigate the garbage bags present in the room, realizing that everything inside the bags seems dusty, and most impressive: they are parts of the human body, such as organs, brains, hearts and eyes. Guizo and Xande begin investigating through one more door, finding a desk with a TV and several uniforms on the bedroom shelves. Guizo finds a note from a person named Regina giving good luck to her beloved, who was going to work in the building, and questioning why the building was built so far; he also finds a badge of Raul Cruzes, one of the employees. Meanwhile, Chico begins to analyze the electricity panel next door, realizing that there are circuit breakers only from the first to the third floor, and the building has six, and a warning glued on the inside of the door: all lights must be turned off at 02:00 AM and shall remain off until further notice.
The group leaves the room and enters a new hallway, beginning to hear footsteps from the front door. They are surprised by the secretary, Regina Cruzes, that questions them in a similar way to Adágio why they are there. She also says that the anchor of TV Varminho will show them the station and that Fear will transform the passage. She leads them to a living room, saying that the anchor is coming, and when Xande questions where Dara is, she says that no matter the way, they will meet their sentimental associates. The group realizes that many things of the station seem to be upside down, and the secretary continues reinforcing that the anchor will arrive and that also, the director is eager to find them. Chico begins to sneak through the doors of the station, finding a camera room with a grid of 4x4 cameras showing programs from TV Varminho. He also finds several documents, especially a note saying that at 02:00 AM, they will make the first direct connection. Meanwhile, Xande, Guizo, and Lírio attempt to break with the secretary so Xande can sneak into the camera room together, while maintaining telepathic communication with Guizo. He then enters and joins Chico to begin investigating, and the little one uses his keyboard to enter the entire system. He notices a terminal appearing on the screen, asking for a password and a sense of something helping him. He tries to enter the password 0413, and upon failing, receives a mental shock. Then he enters the password "ALL CONNECTED", having access to a new image of Dara, trapped in a kind of capsule and with cables interconnected on her.
Meanwhile, Lírio and Guizo notice the arrival of the anchor, William Bonantos, who greets them and asks them to follow him. The group gathers and begins to follow William, who begins to show the building and the editorial team of the building. Lírio and Xande enter the editorial office, while William closes the door and asks Guizo and Chico to continue following him for the tour. Inside the office, Lírio and Xande are welcomed by the editorial team, such as João Halberto and Eduardo Charuto. João also says that the two can meet their boss, Marcelo Escócio. Returning to the other two, Guizo and Chico follow William to the studios, and as they go upstairs, they see the way to the third floor blocked by several thrown junk. The anchor continues to lead them through the building, until arriving in his office, with two security guards next door. At the same time, a blonde woman from the team arrives telling the two that one of them needs to help them with filming in the studio. Guizo volunteers and is taken to the studio, coming across a familiar place: the studio of the newspaper of the station. Chico enters William’s office, leaving only the two inside. William says it’s time to start.
Returning to the editorial team’s office, Lírio and Xande begin trying to translate one of the issued signals, while the team asks them some questions and makes fun of them being dumb and unable to translate quickly. João warns that the boss is coming, and the door of Marcelo Escócio’s room opens, with the boss asking where the new employees are. Lírio and Xande enter Marcelo’s room, talking a little with Marcelo. He shows his computer screen, which shows the same symbols as the signals transmission. Lírio tries to understand them, but fails. Returning to Guizo, he is indicated to go to the journalists' bench. He sits down and the producer says that he needs to convince people to become one of them, to understand the signals. He looks at the teleprompter and notices the signals passing, trying to look away. He then follows the order and acts as if convincing people.
Meanwhile, Chico meets William in his office. He says that Chico and his group came to TV Varminho even without understanding the meaning of the signals. As William speaks, Chico notices an elevator card to the fourth floor. William goes on to say that in the future, there will be no death and that the passage of Fear is being transformed, and It is understanding. The two continue talking, and Chico begins to notice a strange sensation of William. He keeps talking about being able to reconnect with those who are gone, and then he begins to transform. His eyes begin to distort, his size begins to increase, his arms begin to stretch more... He begins to extend his arms to be able to connect with Chico, and then the little one receives information in his mind, in addition to having it shaken once again. Chico approaches him and says he finally understood, while stealthily stealing the elevator card, while William says he can become one of them, but Chico says he needs to convince his friends to connect too before connecting. Guizo tries to escape from the studio, but the producer tries to stop him by pulling a pistol. Lírio and Xande try to leave Marcelo’s room, but he also pulls a pistol. Xande presses the letter B on Marcelo’s keyboard and notices an image of Morato with various symbols appearing on the screen. Marcelo gets angry with them using his computer, but Lírio leaves the room quickly. Chico begins to dodge William to try to escape and Guizo remains seated to continue the transmission. Xande continues talking to Marcelo, who begins to repeat "We are all one".
Lírio rushes out and begins to go upstairs looking for Chico, opening all the doors. He opens one of the doors on the right, coming across one of the employees, but closing quickly. Chico tries to escape from William, who tries once again to shake his mind, while Guizo remains seated, afraid of being hurt by the producer. Xande, to try to buy time, keeps repeating the phrase "We are all one" with Marcelo, while Lírio keeps opening all the doors looking for Chico, pretending to be looking for the bathroom and being ambushed by the employee. Chico manages to open the office door, shouting Pumpkin again and dodging the security guards, meeting with Lírio. William goes on to say that they will understand and that the director is coming, while Guizo and Xande continue to converse telepathically. The two try to find an excuse to leave, and Xande abruptly leaves shouting Sorry to Marcelo. The office members also pull weapons and start shooting at Xande, who dodges with his skateboard. Guizo continues to act in the broadcast, repeating the phrase of Xande, and Lírio and Chico try to work together to trap William with Magras so Chico can enter the room again. The wall manages to hold him with Magras, while Chico sneaks back into the room. Guizo bends down on the bench, waiting for the producers to approach so he can jump over it and try to escape. He arrives at the door, but cannot open it because it is locked. Finally Xande arrives at the third floor, and upon seeing the scene of his friends fighting, enters the fight together. Lírio leaves William trapped and advances against one of the guards, knocking him down.
Chico begins to enter William’s computer, and pressing B again, he sees the image of Jerson with several symbols, plus a list of parameters with several known names: Vicente Santos, Morato, Voytek Nowak, Jerson, Eriberto Viamão, Edimeia Soares, Ludismila Soares and Dara, that presents the most crazy parameters. Meanwhile, the group continues to fight with the security guards and producers, with Xande managing to break through Guizo’s door, which had multiplied to try to protect himself. Chico bursts out screaming for everyone to go to the elevator, while William manages to get rid of Magras. Xande and Guizo join Lírio, and the skater uses his Chaotic Polarization to delay the security guards, producers and William. The three arrive at the elevator, which had already been opened by Chico with the card, and the door closes. The Four are now going up to the fourth floor. Chico begins to write down the information he had received, and then they reach the fourth floor.
When they see the door open, what awaits them from the outside is surprising: five men in suits facing the wall, trembling. They continue walking around the floor, finding a room with a rather advanced technology, with several capsules with a strange green liquid. Chico begins to investigate the capsules, finding the codes referring to the people on the list that Chico had found. He also finds a computer, which allows him to send anything to one of the capsules, while Guizo picks up his camera and realizes that the environment is different when recorded, with the slimy liquid on the floor. After missing twice, he sends "Voytek" to the capsule 4-A3, that begins to transform. A hand silhouette appears on the capsule, and the group tries to prepare for what will come out or break it. But an elbow breaks it, releasing the liquid inside the capsule outward.
And from this capsule, a man with a red bandanna falls to the ground, kneeling afterwards. The group has just saved Morato Vertaler, who is surprised to see the group and begins to walk through the environment looking for anything and asking for the mission report. He also asks about Dara’s situation, and meanwhile, picks up a machine gun. They are ready to investigate this location, save Dara and kill everyone.

- While Chico was investigating the TV Varminho camera system, there was an interaction with the Twitch chat that could help Luís to find the terminal password through puzzles made on Carolinga's Twitter. When entering the password, Carolinga made a new post on her Twitter, with the photo of Dara and a new puzzle. During the episode, when pressing B on computers, more photos with characters and symbols were posted on Carol’s twitter.
