The Four is the fifth episode of Signals from the Other Side. It aired on November 26, 2022.
Synopsis[]
The Four, after a completely bizarre event, continue to investigate the Aliens. And a paranormal aid, coming from someone very famous, comes to the group to enable them to find Dara and Morato.

The Four wake up in the living room of the Magal Benza family home. The rustling of trees, the sounds of birds and noises of dishes in the kitchen knocking wake them up. Luan welcomes them in the kitchen, saying that the breakfast is ready: boiled corn. They also see the mother, Alberta and Don, who sits in his corner eating a fried egg. He becomes a little confused being called Agent Don by the group, and Xande and Guizo begin to realize this, feeling that there is something else strange. The group has a little fun while eating and heads to the van. Chico and Lírio notice in front of the gate of the farm a heap of people, but more noticeable, two blue and red lights: a police car. They try to hide in the van to talk about what to do, and Guizo decides to use his ritual to look stronger. He then goes along with Xande to the gate to talk to the cops, seeing three other people talking to them, talking outraged about what happened there. The officer, Joana, approaches them, while Geraldo, the neighboring farmer, continues to complain to officer Yan. She questions them about gunshots heard at the farm and an explosion happening, which the two deny about having happened. She asks them to take her to meet the family. On the way, the officer sees a hole made by the explosion of Chico’s mine, and the two try to disregard it, being interrupted by Alberta who leaves home and is approached by the officer to talk about.
Xande and Guizo return to the van, frightened by the police being here. They talk a little with the other two, and Guizo decides to see the recordings of his camera, realizing that at times, the camera gets interference or gives a cut. At the end of the video, when he turns the camera to a window, the video simply cuts and only noise. Guizo begins to feel empty, seeing several symbols appearing in the middle of the noise, and Chico feels as if something has resonated from the tree house. They are then startled by Joana knocking on the door of the van, who approaches them and starts asking questions about the group’s stay. She asks to do a survey in the van, and Chico talks a little about the Broadcast Station and the camping. She also asks for Chico’s license, which when he begins to check, finds a license for a person that they never saw in their lifes. He then realizes that he is without a license, and when mentioning the name Dara, everyone feels strange: why is this name so familiar? Who is Dara? They think this document may be from some mission they had earlier. Chico is frustrated for not being with his license, and the officer communicates the other about the situation. She then goes back to the farm gate, meeting Alberta and Geraldo arguing. The Four then decide to separate, with Chico and Lírio going to the gate and Guizo and Xande going to the tree house.
At the farm gate, Alberta and Luan argue with Geraldo, and upon hearing the name Adágio, she says that there is no one by that name, being argued by Geraldo that the owner of the farm is Adágio. Meanwhile, Guizo and Xande enter the tree house to investigate and are surprised by the main computer screen flashing several unknown symbols. The two begin to interact with the computer, typing as if they were talking to someone. Suddenly, when Xande sends an "Eae", the screen simply suffers interference and an image begins to flash. An image of someone. A familiar face. A docile face. The face of Dara. But who is Dara? Why does this question stay in their minds? They talk again, saying that the day is very strange, everything is very strange, and Xande makes a drawing of Dara to see if he can remember her. Returning to the discussion at the farm, Chico and Lírio help to disperse the discussion of the farmers, and the police seeing that there is nothing to worry about, get back in the car and leave the place. The group then separates to do some things, such as Lírio and Xande going to investigate a little more the house while Guizo and Chico investigate the plantation. They gather back, when Calisto calls them. He asks about the situation of the group and asks their names, and upon realizing Dara is missing, he says he has finished his investigation and asks them to meet him at Café's Pizzaria. Before going there, Lírio and Guizo go up to the second floor to talk to Don, who strangely does not remember anything, nor Adágio, nor Morato. The group then enters the van and begins to move to the Café's Pizzaria.
Arriving at the Café's, they see three young people in front of the arcades, in addition to Bryan, the drag race dude, in the balcony, talking with Mandy. As they approach, Bryan is a little reclusive, but teases the group, asking where the "kitten" is. He then takes a punch from Xande, who knocks him out and leaves him next to one of the unconscious tables. They then talk to Mandy, who questions why Dara is not with them, and again the same feeling: who is Dara and why is she so familiar to them? After that, they head to the back to meet Calisto in the office. The language expert, upon seeing the group, begins to analyze them to see if they have not changed or turned into Aliens, and when making sure, says that they suffered memory loss because of the creature. He then says that he got a logic to be able to translate the signalss that Morato wrote. He then talks about the translations he got, and mentions about the phrase "All seek the object of the impossible city". He then continues to investigate along with the group, until he receives an unexpected call. He leaves the office, going to the front of the Café's Pizzaria. The group continues to investigate, but after a while, sneaks in the door, and forcing the view, they see a group of people: a man with beard, mustache and sideburns around 40 years and an aviator’s jacket, a woman with asian traits and hair stuck, a man wearing a gas mask, and someone that all of them recognizes: Arnaldo Fritz, the most famous actor in the country.
Callisto returns to the office, and the group comments on their investigations, some kind of riddle, and the same symbols they saw in the tree house appear on Callisto’s screen. When faced with the translation "Question you you you you", Guizo decides to type his name in the terminal. And on that same moment, he has a whirlwind of thoughts and feelings: it is Dara, of course it is Dara, IT'S OBVIOUS THAT IS DARA! DARA IS TRAPPED IN THE TRANSMISSION TOWER, SHE IS WAITING FOR YOU ALL! Chico begins typing the names of Xande, Lírio and his own name and everyone remembers Dara. Everyone knows what to do now. At that moment then, Callisto turns his attention to the group that had arrived, saying that all the hidden knowledge that he and Arnaldo keep in this office cannot be revealed to others, since everything is against what the Order preaches. It is at this moment that Arnaldo enters the office, with a bag with various equipment for the group. He also continues to reinforce that they should not cast any kind of ritual in front of the other agents, especially Verity, who totally repudiates the use of the Paranormal. Arnaldo and Calisto also comment on Morato being expelled from the Order for practicing occultism, and then they begin to deliver the new equipment. Arnaldo gives a new skateboard to Xande, a skateboard with several sigils of knowledge stamped; a rotten finger and several bands cursed with Death for Guizo; a pair of shoes cursed with Energy for Xande; a black glasses with several spirals in the lens, also for Xande; an earring and a piercing cursed with Knowledge for Chico; a kind of living tripe like a rope for Lírio; a brilliant computer keyboard with keys bearing the same symbol - the symbol of Energy - for Chico, as well as some healing.
Arnaldo continues talking to the group, saying that their mission now is not to go in and kill everyone: it is to save their missing companions and document everything that is there. He then begins to hear footsteps from the outside, and asks everyone to hide the occult items. At that moment, Verity arrives at the door, wondering why Arnaldo is taking so long to return. He explains that Chizue and Aaron are also waiting for him, and is happy that the group is assisting them in the investigation, sketching a smile. The group then bids farewell to Verity and also to Arnaldo, who reinforces again that the mission is not about killing, it is about investigating, and ask for no one to die. Calisto returns to talk to the group, talking about the transmission that Dara probably passed to them, and that she is probably part of some cluster. They then say goodbye to Callisto and also say goodbye to Mandy, saying that they managed to remember Dara. Chico notices the news of TV Varminho passing on TV, and stops a little to watch. He realizes that this is not a normal broadcast, that the journalist is only talking some gibberish and many interferences happen, in addition to the various photos of people appearing as Jerson, Morato and another person on the whole screen. He explains to Mandy about these events, about the Alienss, and tells her to turn off the TV and radio. Meanwhile, Xande approaches the arcade James Bonees, talking to the girl who wore an Ahlevo shirt, and saying that Guizo liked her. She reacts a bit and returns to play quietly. But when Guizo approaches, she finishes her speedrun from the game, and seeing that Guizo also likes Ahlevo, talk a little about the band and that they will meet again.
The group then leaves Café's Pizzaria and returns to the road, seeking only one thing: to save Dara. They arrive at the camp of the three gypsies they had found, and proceed to the transmission station, still seeing the remnants of the battle they had with the Fummu. They then begin to investigate and Chico begins to use his keyboard on one of the computers. When using, he sees himself in a kind of dimension with various signals resonating. He notices a kind of alien signal that only emitted, but then was contained. Suddenly, this signal returns, stronger, infecting all other signals. This is the only signal that remains now, and that purposely it seems to hide, lest its place of origin be found. Chico comes out of the trance and realizes that at most in 8 hours, he can discover this place of origin and consequently, know where Dara is, but he will have to stay there all this time. The group then decides to split up, both to get some rest and to test their new equipment.
Time passes. Near midnight, Chico is finally warned: the location was found. He calls his companions and enters that dimension again. He notices and marks the spot in his mind: it’s an hour from where they are. The group then enters the van and goes straight to this place, always remembering the goal: it is for Dara and Morato. An hour passes, and with the feeling of a strong fog passing and the feeling that maybe they are going to a place with no return, the group parks near a transmission tower, 6 floors, with the top of it having walls very different than normal. They know this is the TV Varminho's broadcast tower. They know this is where Dara and Morato are. With a battle cry, the four exit the van, going into the tower.
