Sanguis Orchid or Blood Orchid Cult is an occultist group, created around the 7th century in a town known as Aurora, located on Europe. Initially the cult prized the legend of the "Flower Saint", the legend of a young girl that, when making a deal, was blessed by an angel called the "Red Seraph", adopting its symbol, the Red Orchidea Symbol. Over time, the cult began to believe that the Saint was a kind of manifestation of the Red Seraph, which resulted in attempts and more attempts to invoke the same where, in a few months, converted several people for this purpose.
Characteristics[]
All members of the cult were seen wearing a kind of damaged red cloak, with a thorny orchid made of a viscous and crimson material hanging from their cloaks.
History[]
Since its foundation, the cult does its invocation ritual in the same way, making the symbol of the Red Orchid witness 7 sacrifices in 7 different situations with 7 different types of flowers. The cult began to found or enter European towns in an attempt to make some woman the next Flower Saint.
Aurora's Foundation[]
The foundation of the town of Aurora is strongly linked with the arrival of the cult in Brazil, being founded in 1817 by European emigrants, including the Ghular family, that spread the cult throughout the country, and make the town have a strong connection with flowers, until in 1917 the town ends up being known as Flower Town.
In 1970, the Aurora town sent a request to Vatican to canonize Lygia Virgínia do Rosário as the "Flower Saint". However, the request was denied, because Lygia did not have the requirements to become a saint, and the title already belonged to Saint Dorothy.
Since the foundation of the town, the police and the town hall is controlled by the cult.
1977 Disappearances[]
The oldest case involving them in the country occurred in 1977. Mysteriously 7 citizens disappeared without a trace, the last being Maria Cabral. The hitherto police investigator of the town, Geraldo Munch, in charge of the case, realized that all the victims had a connection, all had contact with orchids in their lives.
While investigating the clue deeper the policeman discovered a book entitled Sanguis Orchid, a book that had as a facade relate biblical passages with characteristics of orchids, but in reality described processes of ritualistic sacrifices, in addition to describing the legend of the "Flower Saint". The next day the investigator was attacked in his own home by members of the cult, who threatened to kill him if he did not abandon the case and the police.
It is unknown if the cult was able to summon the Blood Lady in this case.
The Crimson Aurora Thorns[]
The cult again returned looking for another wave of sacrifices, leading to seven other disappearances in the town:
Ramiro Turi, a man in his 50s, who was last seen in an alley next to a bar he used to frequent. Orange flowers were found next to the symbol of the Red Orchid made with his own blood;
Ruth Santos, a 57-year-old woman, who was last seen in her home, where rose petals were found;
Bruno Rouxinol, a 39-year-old man, who was last seen in an antique shop where he worked, where fpetals of the flower Caladenia purpura were found stained by blood in the place;

All the missing persons were taken to the Ghular farm, where they would be sacrificed to the Blood Lady.
