The paranormal doesn't come into our reality easily, and there's a reason for it. The Order of Calamity, a secret order composed of warriors and intellectuals disposed to devote their lives to destroy the paranormal.

Ordo Calamitas, or the Order of Calamity, is an organization that, around A.D. 67, had as goal to destroy the paranormal. To reach it, this Order was seeking to capture and study the Relics of Calamity, having secret buildings in the Ancient Roman Empire undergrounds that they used as operational bases, named by Emperor Nero himself, one of the Order members.

Characteristics

Ordo Calamitas is an organization composed of warriors and intellectuals that devoted their lives to fight the paranormal. Their members, among their garments, use medieval armor with the Calamity symbol stamped on their chests, being noticeable an aura coming out of their bodies.

History

Past

Around A.D. 67, in the day after achieving the Relic of Energy and reaching to the third capture of the four Relics of Calamity, the Ordo Calamitas members, amalgamated with the Team Vultures members meet in the meeting room to debate their next search steps to fully understand the relics and the location of the last relic, the Relic of Death. Until the Ordo Calamitas members feels a shiver, feeling that terrible things were about to happen.

By analyzing the environment, they are faced with a movement in the walls of the base, a Black Ooze, aggressively advancing through the base with emergence of black tentacles on the walls. Accompanied by several cries by the mediations of the base, amid the ooze they see a huge black silhouette bringing a giant wave of death, killing everything across its way.

Seeking refuge, the Ordo Calamitas survivors along with Nero, arrives in the place the Relic of Energy was being held in a metallic cube emitting a strong purple glow. Upon arriving at the place, 6 individuals are attracted by the Relic, forming a circle around them, until the Relic advances towards Gaius, merging with his face, creating a metallic mask in constant transformation, completely changing its wielder's personality. He becomes Amphitruo, the oldest known Host and first ruler of The Colosseum which was represented in one of the paintings of the Art Gallery in 2021. After that, a series of games are held with the members of the Ordo Calamitas, where at the end, only Celestine, amalgamated to Joui Jouki, made it out alive. As soon as Amphitruo would congratulate her by winning the games, Veritus appears, amalgamated to Kian, interrupting them. Amphitruo, as its last available resort, gives to Celestine the Despair Mask to enforce rules to Kian, consequently making her The Magistrate.

Arnaldo Fritz was the Order's agent that found about the existence of Ordo Calamitas and it is known that he contacted Manuel Cruzes and Vinicio Ludos to study the place. In his grimoire, he writes that he found the story from those equivalent to the Ordo Realitas in the past.

He treats that Ordo Calamitas as a place he could get the answers to the secrets that he needed to solve about their fight against the Other Side. It's said by Manuel Cruzes, in a hostile letter to Vinicio, that Arnaldo appeared in The Colosseum's Museum one day before his supposed plane crash in February 2009. In addition, there were records of someone that visited the place and entered the ruins in an unknown way.

Before going to the Colosseum, Arnaldo says that place was protected by the Balance and writes on his grimoire about it. He claimed that the Colosseum was:

• Created by Reality
• Known for many
• Stained by Blood
• Ruled by Chaos
• Refused to ruin through Time

Dante, in 2021, transcends inside the Ordo Calamitas ruins and amalgamates himself with Arnaldo Fritz, that in 2009 visited the place and met the Magistrate. The woman showed up to Arnaldo a vision from the moment that Kian interrupted Celestine and Amphitruo in A.D. 67. After returning from the vision, the Magistrate says he has the right to do a question. Arnaldo asks how he could stop Kian and the woman answers that only using a relic and enforcing rules to him. In addition, she claims that one of the Relics already found him, and right after this, Arnaldo's pocket watch reveals itself as the Relic of Energy.

Present

The Ordo Calamitas base was abandoned by hundreds of years in the undergrounds of where now The Colosseum was located in the current days, being dominated by The Host. The Ordo Calamitas base ruins are apparently impossible to access, being discovered that numerous methods have been tested throughout history and none have worked. However, the Host had been working on ways to open Semper Clausa, the door that was always closed, and to show the ruins privately to unknown investors. It is described that they would do this by placing the masks of each ruler of the Colosseum on their corresponding statue and by means of an already active unknown ritual.

Semper Clausa is opened by the Team Vultures' markeds, that followed the process The Host organized, putting the ruler's masks in their right statues. Inside there, the Sect of the Masks appears and tells them that this place has unpredictable memories and that even them didn't know what happened in these ruins.

Entering the installations, the team faces a hall with six statues of different persons, being them, from left to right: Remus, Celestine, Gaius, Marius, Faustus and Amalia. When touching the statues, the Team Vultures' members amalgamated themselves with the millennial Ordo Calamitas members, being able to control the past.

With Gaius becoming the Host, Carina is disconnected from him and all the other members wake up. Balu and Rubens joins The Devil's Coffins' game and with Amalia and Faustus making out alive, they normally return to their bodies. In the game "Masquerade Ball", everyone except for Carina joined. After Dante's sacrifice, that killed Remus and Nero to make the others to get out alive, everyone returns except him, that stays unconscious with his heartbeats very weak. The group continues to the Death's game, that ends only with Joui and Rubens woke up, as seen that Balu and Arthur had their amalgamateds killed. In the end, Joui entrusts Carina to protect the unconscious bodies and joins Rubens in the last game. In this Energy game, Joui asks Rubens to return on his place to help Carina, promising to save everyone after everything ends. With that, Joui returns and Rubens stays unconscious like the others. Creatures start to get out of the statues and with this, everyone wakes up and a battle begins. They defeat the Unforgotten Wraiths and head to a room with the Transcend symbol. In this moment, Dante transcends and in addition to being amalgamated with Arnaldo Fritz in 2009, he opens a door leading to a corridor. Dante stays in the room and the others continue towards the door's direction. When the door opens, Joui, Balu, Rubens, Carina and Arthur meets The Devil and the current Host, Arnaldo Fritz.

• Emperor Nero didn't allow the consumption of wine inside the facilities of the Ordo Calamitas Base, but its members had hidden gallons of the drink, so when he was not present, they did not mind breaking this rule.
• Ordo Calamitas was the first Order to exist in the entire history. The mysterious life and name of its leader remains until today with the Ordo Realitas' leader.
• Ordo Calamitas has a theme song: "Ordo Calamitas".
  • The song features chorus elements similar to the Sect of the Masks' theme, in addition to the Calamity leitmotif itself.
