The Ooze Tyrant is a creature born from the body of Yuri Strach, after he got exposed for a long time to the element of Death in the Spiral Castle in his quest to become eternal.
Later, the original body of the Tyrant was amalgamated to a second host, the agent of the Order George Laiks, turning it into its final seen form in Enigma of Fear, where it is found wandering the halls of the castle and attacking Mia during her investigation, until finally being defeated by her in the Source Chamber.
Appearance[]
The Ooze Tyrant is a huge creature, about 3 meters tall, and a robust body coated with ooze forming a huge spiral in its chest and bones that give it a "harried" appearance. It is described as similar to a Ooze Skeleton, but with an immense size, its head having bony protrusions that resemble a crown, and its body covered with black ooze in a robust way, enveloping its skeleton in a manner that resembles human anatomy.
Its body is so immense that the team of agents who found it when they investigated the Perimeter described it as "immortal", indicating that they didn't even have the equipment necessary to stop it, or even destroy it, preferring only to avoid it.
After the team led by Diogo and George Laiks arrived at the Spiral Castle, in an incident of unknown date, the creature amalgamated to another individual, now having two heads and an extra arm, which still occasionally tries to disturb the main head of the monster. The noises that the Tyrant makes when moving through the Castle indicate that the creature seems to exist in a kind of constant torment, emitting grunts and painful groans.
Battle[]
To defeat the Tyrant, it is necessary for Mia to use the Source Chamber. During combat, the agent must use the shadow of the large clock pointer above the room to block the Paranormal Light that holds the chains of the room’s anchors. By blocking the light, Mia must expose the chains in UV light to age them and finally break them. After breaking the three chains, the Ooze Tyrant will be disturbed and confused, and after that, the large mechanism with the paranormal crystal above the room will fall down and fall on top of the Tyrant, petrifying it with the ooze in the chamber and unlocking the achievement "Immortal".
Behaviour[]
The Tyrant displays hostile behavior attacking anyone who enters its castle, being able to even move through huge puddles of ooze to pursue ots targets. However, it seems to be unable to move through small doors and can only follow its victims through open spaces that accommodate its height.
Like the other creatures of Death, it seems to be accelerated by UV light, and held back, at least temporarily, by the paranormal light of the crystal lantern, and unlike the Ooze Skeletons, by hearing the sound of the castle’s bells, the creature gets disturbed, standing in place while screaming and groaning in pain.
Skills[]
- Throw Ooze: The Tyrant is able to throw a large piece of black ooze in the form of a projectile at a target at a distance, dealing damage when hit.
- Spiral Miasma: The Tyrant is able to conjure a black smoke that spirals around it. When exposed to this smoke, Mia suffers mental damage.
- Castle Domain: The Tyrant is able to transport himself through large pools of ooze, at least within the Spiral Castle.
