New Dawn Building

The New Dawn Building is a key location of Paranormal Order: Deconjuration, located in the strangely empty Dona Floresta's neighborhood, here was the last place where there was a trace of Elizabeth Webber, an agent of the Ordo Realitas who mysteriously disappeared, first visited in the 1st episode of Deconjuration. The building has a very old and abandoned appearance, in addition to a gloomy air.^[1]

History[]

The New Dawn Building was the first location that D-Force investigated to try to find agent Elizabeth Webber, who had disappeared. Upon arriving at the location, the agents lie, saying that they wanted to look at an apartment for rent, posing as university students. After going up to the agent's apartment, they began to investigate the place, finding some clues about its location. Beatrice Portinari discovers, through a hole in the wall, that the apartment next door was covered in blood, with several pieces of human limbs. Upon arriving at the scene, the agents are surprised by Joui Jouki, who appears murdering an occultist behind them, stating that others were coming.

After defeating all the occultists, and Blood Zombies that appeared in the place, the group begins to investigate it, facing a door, which, when opened, reveals a huge Bestial, which jumps to over Beatrice. Tristan throws himself on top of the agent, and begins a melee fight against the creature, managing to break a molotov on his back, but being seriously injured.

After some agents go to the Order's base to leave Tristan in the hospital ward, they return to the place now accompanied by Joui. Going down to the parking lot, the team finds blood trails and occultists making a round around the place. The agents murdered some of them silently, and soon after they went all out on top of the others, murdering them with shots and explosions. Seeing that the parking lot splits into two rooms at the end, the agents form two groups to investigate the end of the location.

The group that goes to the right, formed by Beatrice, Joui and Kaiser, is faced with an occultist forcing Jeremias, a homeless person, to beat a blood zombie. Kaiser kills the occultist with a shot in the middle of his forehead and the trio talks to Jeremias, advising him to stay hidden inside one of the abandoned cars, so that they can finish checking the place.

The group with the other agents goes to the room on the left, where they find Syndic Sidney, together with 2 other occultists, in the middle of a ritual symbol. Erin begins the battle, launching one of her grenades towards the occultists, managing to explode the body of one completely, but Sidney escapes the grenade, conjuring a ritual against Erin, causing her to lose part of her sanity, making her believe she is invincible. The agent then takes her shotgun and nonchalantly goes up to the man. While trying to shoot the occultist, Erin undergoes a Flesh Out Ritual, having her skin torn apart, falling unconscious to the ground. Out of control and maddened by blood, Sidney goes like a beast towards Arthur, biting his neck, but being killed soon after by Luciano with a shot in his head.

The agents rush out to take Erin to the hospital ward, as she was bleeding heavily from the ritual, leaving only Kaiser and Joui to end the suffering of the remaining blood zombies, having a friendly conversation, and reconciling their friendship after being apart for a while, leaving the premises, and leaving the building.

Reception[]

The reception room is a dirty environment with ripped and destroyed furniture. There is a table where a doorman stands to receive people. The agents find a friendly doorman named Josivaldo who is listening to Atlético Manero's game against Permera. They ask to see apartment 501 and take the elevator up after talking to the union Sidney.

Elevator[]

Like the rest of the building, the elevator appears to be very old and worn out, with one of the buttons on its panel torn off, making it impossible to take the elevator to the building's parking lot. A little further on from the elevator are the emergency stairs, one going down to the parking lot and the other going up to the apartments. The elevator has capacity for 4 people and, upon entering, the agents lose the eavesdropping signal.^[2]

Elizabeth's Apartment[]

Apartment 501 is well organized with old furniture and a musty smell exuding from the place. As soon as the group enters, they begin to investigate the apartment and Erin Parker ends up finding a series of notes and newspaper clippings about the low rate of homelessness in this neighborhood and the disappearance of families, as well as a diary with a series of questions relating to "Deconjuration" and sketches of an Occultist Symbol that Elizabeth had found in her last case. But, before leaving the apartment, they decide to check one of the rooms and there they find a recorder with a tape in which Liz had recorded reporting a series of strange facts that she had noticed about the building, such as: trucks appearing in a way period in the building, the parking lot that has been closed off for months, screams of agony and attempts to break into her apartment during the night.^[3]

Syndic Sidney's apartment[]

When breaking into the apartment door, all the lights go out at the same time, leaving the investigators in the dark with their flashlights as the only source of light. Upon entering the apartment, they see a room covered in blood and rotting chunks of flesh with a light fog visible. Inside, they find 2 humanoid blood zombies trapped inside a room. It is in this place, too, that the agents are surprised by the occultists of the building led by the liquidator. A battle ensues against the creatures and the occultists.^[4]

Ritual Location[]

In this room there is a huge symbol on the floor with candles around it. A Beastly Zombie was trapped inside and the creature jumps on top of the first one it sees when the door is opened. A battle ensues and Tristan Monteiro is badly wounded.^[5]

After everything has calmed down, Kaiser and Arthur search the room and notice a very old and dirty table, as well as a medallion marked with a ritual symbol thrown in the room corner.

Parking lot[]

Parking lot, at first, is an ordinary place with a few dusty cars parked in spaces. However, entering the area, it is possible to hear a loud noise and notice traces of blood, parked trucks and destroyed cars. The further away from the entrance, the more blood, debris and blood zombies are seen, in addition to some building occultists. Agents face occultists and creatures as they explore the location.^[6]

In the lower left corner of the parking lot, the agents save a civilian, Jeremias, who was being forced to fight a chained Blood Zombie while an occultist watched, enjoying the situation.^[7]

Ritual Location[]

The innermost region of the parking lot is a spot with a large occultist symbol on the floor that illuminates the entire room in a ghoulish shade of red. Also, a book is seen on a pillar in the center and, around it, there are multiple Blood Zombies trapped in cars. The group had split up, so only Erin, Arthur and Luciano fight against the syndicator and the other two occultists who were at the scene, while the rest of the group rescues the civilian.^[8]

After the fight, the agents collect book on pillar from the ritual, the book that was in the syndic's hand, his cell phone and a photo of his family.^[9]
