And he gave me a key... but I never had courage to enter that goddamn house... I never had courage to enter that cursed house.

Nesto Scelto[1]

Nestor Scelto was Graça Scelto's husband and brother of Virgílio Scelto. His voice is heard quickly on the 10th episode of Deconjuration,[2] when his wife was approached by Luciano, however, he only appeared completely when he witnessed the arrival of police in the Devilish Mansion.[3]

Appearance[]

Nestor was a very old man with a mustache and gray hair, his skin is pale just like his wife’s, markedly wears circular sunglasses, which serve to hide his eyes, affected by blindness since his birth. He wore a white open-necked outfit with black stripes that barely stand out, wore dark green pants, and wore brown shoes.[4]

Personality[]

He appeared to be very kind and friendly in welcoming, together with Graça, the agents who went to his home to investigate his brother’s past.

Biography[]

Past[]

Nestor Scelto, brother of Virgílio Scelto, was born around 1940 completely blind and lived with this condition his whole life. Around his 22 years, began to hear stories about his neighbor Vanessa Ângelo, the "witch", and how she delivered dolls to children who, after a while, ended up missing. It is told that it was possible to hear screams coming from her house, which caught his attention, in addition to his brother. After Virgílio was hired as the condominium watchmen in 1970, he continued to hear more desperate cries from the house, until one day, upon hearing more of those troubled pleas, he decided to enter and investigate the mansion alone. So his brother disappeared for several days, and when he returned to his family, he was in a totally different way, saying things that only he himself would know, but at the same time acting like another totally different person, "bewitched by the witch" as he would say.[5]

"He laughed, and said that, to know what happened with the childrens, it was to me to just go in and find", giving him a golden key before leaving and never to be seen by his former brother again. Nestor would continue to live in the condominium with his current wife, Graça.

Deconjuration[]

During the Devilish Mansion mission in the Blue Condominium, Nestor was living with his wife so far in the same house where he lived during the disappearance of his brother. The elderly was visited by Joui Jouki and Dante when discovered of the kinship of the former watchman with the man, and was friendly questioned during a conversation between the two investigators, who eventually brought him hope to end the evil of the "haunted" house, and find the whereabouts of his missing brother. After Joui heard the story told by the sir, he was given the key that Nestor had received from Virgílio years ago.

Interestingly, during the 15th episode of Deconjuration, Kaiser, one of the members of the Order Research Team, discovered information that indicated the whereabouts of Nestor, such as that of a person who died more than 15 years ago (since 2005), with his partner, Graça.[6] When the information was shared between the group on the 16th episode of Deconjuration, the agents suspected that the couple were either involved in some occultist scheme, or that their deaths had been faked. Their questions would be answered, when they returned to the Blue Condominium and visited the elders' house, noticing that the house had an older aspect, with the handle and the door of the place being really well-aged. Suspicious, the agents Joui and Luciano entered the house to come across the totally empty environment, only with a mysterious symbol from the elements of Knowledge and Energy, with the purpose of "summoning" something, as described by Agatha Volkomenn in messages with Arthur Cervero.[7]

During the 19th episode of Deconjuration, D-Force, investigating the Corridors of the Devilish Mansion, came across two coffins: one of them having a rotten corpse wearing a suit, his eyes charred and a paper on his face, with something written related to Nestor: BLIND.[8]
