Nergal^[1]

Nergal was an occultist who was part of the Escribes, being one of the Escribes who participated in the Henri's challenges.^[2] He was the second challenger, facing and being killed by Dante.^[3]

Appearance[]

Nergal was a thin man with long blond hair, whitish eyes and two piercings around his mouth. He wore a robe that covered most of his body and had several tattoos down his neck and arms, in addition to wearing dark pants.^[4]

Personality[]

Nergal was a man who didn't talk much, seemed to be very serious and always had a mysterious tone.^[4]

Past[]

It is only known that he joined the Escribes in an unknown year.

Deconjuration[]

He was with Henri, Agarim and another Escribe when they met the D-Force team of the Ordo Realitas at the St. Menefreda Orphanage,^[5] with Henri proposing three challenges for the agents.^[6] After the first victory at the hands of Joui Jouki against Agarim,^[7] Nergal was nominated as the second challenger,^[2] facing Dante in a dispute of rituals, where he ends up losing and being killed, starving to death by the Decadence Ritual.^[3]

Rituals[]

Mental Pollution Ritual: This ritual consists of affecting the target's mind, making it feel an increase in ideas and thoughts in general. At first, the ritual seems to be something positive, but after a little while, hundreds of absurd, violent and disgusting ideas start to appear in your mind, as if something is crushing your brain from the inside and trying to make you go completely crazy. It is not known if it can serve for something positive yet.^[8]

Trivia[]

Nergal was the name of one of the greatest deities of Sumer, representing War and Death, being the god of the underworld and husband of Ereshkigal, who inspired the name of the Gal's blades.
