Návia Eiland

Návia Eiland is a resident from Tipora, where she works as the village doctor. She first appeared in the 2nd episode of The Secret in the Island, after Milo was bitten by a venomous snake and his dad, Bartô, took him to her home so she could treat the wound.

Appearance

Návia is a middle-aged woman, with brown skin, gray black hair and brown eyes. She wears a white coat over a striped green shirt, black pants and a pair of brown boots. She also wears a belt running through her chest with some fanny packs on it.

Personality

Návia is a focused and experienced woman in her work as the island doctor. She misses her mother, Olga, and says she is grateful to her for knowing what she knows today. Moreover, Návia cares a lot about her brother, Evandro, because she knows how much he carries alone and all the pressure that is on him constantly.

Biography

Past

Návia was born in Tipora in December 29, 1970, by her midwife mother, Olga Eiland.

In 1982, at the age of 12, in the middle of a full moon night, Návia and her friends Bartô Castello, Barnabé Aleno, Berenice Aleno, Lívia Lima and his brother Evandro Eiland, decided to invade the Moretti's Mansion to unravel the mysteries present within it, action that idealized by Evandro. Not showing interest in the event of the 3rd floor, Návia remained in the library of the mansion, while the other five children decide to walk to the upper floor. During her stay in the library, Návia hears her friends screaming and running out of the Moretti's Mansion. After that day, her brother never again behaved in the same way, acting differently in relation to Bartô.

At an unknown time, after the death of her mother, Návia felt guilty for failing to save her, deciding to become the island’s doctor.

The Secret in the Island

Day 2

Currently, at the age of 51, while Návia was reading a book, Bartô appears in her house desperate with Milo Castello. She begins to treat him and subsequently Olivier Florence shows up with his leg hurt. During the visitors' stay at her home she comments on her mother, Olga Eiland, on how she helped her during the births of the residents, and her death from an outbreak of tuberculosis in the island. She manages to treat the patients and they leave her home.

She later appears at the Church Barbecue.

Day 3

During the next day, Návia is seen again in the village, with Adrian Vurtoren. Upon the arrival and warning of Milo on the body of Cavalcante Bueno with his face completely disfigured located on the beach, she departs along the crowd towards the beach to check with her own eyes.

Arriving there, she and all present witness the scene where the body was next to the painting of the same scene with a monster. There, she starts the forensics work at the site and takes the corpse to her home.

Day 4

The day after Cavalcante’s assassination, a church rally is held to report and appease the island’s situation. After some squabbling and moments of tension, by realizing the emergency health situation of the priest Francisco Oblito due to the exposed situation, Návia helps and stabilizes his clinical state.

At dusk, after request of Wanderley Nascimento to pay tribute to his deceased friend in her home, they both talk about how difficult it is to deal with losses and how things got worse overnight.

Seeking to solve the case, after Barnabé's suggestion, Návia spends the night investigating the evidence looking for fingerprints on the board, to identify the perpetrator of the crime.

Day 5

After Barnabé's suggestion, Návia is able to identify the fingerprints of Montel Florence in the evidences, reporting this to her brother. Later, infected animals invaded the village, but Návia remained safe inside her house.

At the end of the afternoon, Návia was present during the gathering at the police station where they witness the corpse of Bartô inside the prison cell. During the event, she is faced with the arrival of Milo, Bárbara and Wanderley carrying her unconscious brother, helping him and taking him to her home to analyze his state of health.

After stabilizing the situation, the residents gather in her home to debate and decide the next steps to evacuate the island. During the conversation, Návia, Adrian and Barnabé tell about the past of the island and the invasion of the 3rd floor of the Moretti's Mansion. Minutes later, everyone decides to stay in their homes to protect themselves.

Day 6

During the last day in the island, Návia remains in her home taking care of her older brother. In the middle of the rainy night, she comes across the corpse of Cavalcante rising from the stretcher, being rescued by Otávio Nemiera and the island visitors.

After eliminating the threat, during a conversation with Wanderley, she says that Barnabé had asked for a stimulant weeks ago, but she was desperate and confused by the facts. Concerned about her brother’s health, she goes along with the team to the church to protect him.

In the church, Evandro faints again and everyone gets faced with the emergence of a creature from within the painting. Návia, in shock, withdraws from the place along with her unconscious brother and heads towards her home where they take shelter to protect themselves.

Day 7

At dawn, Návia along with her brother and the other survivors flee the island, with the help of the agents of the Order.
