Even in the times of ancient Egypt, the act of mummification in pursuit of immortality had macabre and unwanted results.

The Mummies are paranormal creatures of Death that emerge from bodies intertwined in bands and dominated by Death. The obsession with immortality through the burial of pharaohs was also exercised by cults and sects of Entities of the Other Side, being responsible for the cultural hysteria of dread at Death itself and bringing to Reality horrible results. Even in ancient Egypt, mummification could have unexpected consequences such as the emergence of these creatures.

Its first appearance was in the 10th episode of Calamity, appearing along with Death Existeds in an Escribes' invasion to Leone's Mansion, led by Nubi.^[1]

Appearance[]

These creatures have a putrid and skeletal body with severed limbs that gush Black Ooze, these being only held by the various bands that wrap their bodies. Their faces have a skull shape with their eyes hidden and the top forming a spiral as their arms crawl on the ground, leaving a trail of ooze. In addition to the severed limbs, the ooze also leaks from within its tracks.

In addition, mummies can join with other bodies to increase their size, as well as their number of arms and heads, thus making them considerably stronger. It is possible to see that these creatures have a yellowish skin tone, which becomes more intense the more amalgamated to the bodies the Mummy is.

Behaviour[]

Mummies move in a crooked and slender way, with the body trying to walk and its arms dragging on the ground leaving a trail wherever it goes. When close enough they try to attack the target and, if they see opportunity, wrap it with their bands to the death.

Their fragile body makes them easy to kill, but when fallen, they can combine with dead bodies or other Death creatures, creating a stronger version of the original creature; these being a double version called Xiphopagus Mummy^[2] and a quadruple called Amalgamated Mummy.^[3] If it can kill a person by wrapping it in bands, the creature can turn it into a Mummy to instantly amalgamate.

Abilities[]

Amalgamate: When fallen, it tries to entangle itself with another creature to become a stronger version. This ability is able to affect creatures other than Mummies, as one has been seen amalgamating to a Death Existed.^[2]

Vomit Ooze: The creature vomits a considerable amount of ooze on the target, making it weaker and slower.^[4]

Mummified Grab: The creature tries to entangle its arms around the target, trying to grab it, forcing it to make a Power test to be able to loosen itself.^[5]

Disturbing Appearance: An exclusive power of the Xiphopagus Mummy; its frightening appearance destabilizes the target, causing damage of sanity. The person needs to roll will to try to reduce the damage.^[6]

Mummify: The creature grabs the target and tries to wrap its bands on it, suffocating and drowning in ooze, and if the person does not resist, it then turns into a Mummy too.^[7]
