The shape of a huge animal, furious and biped with more than 10 feet tall... originated from the legends of Greek mythology about a terrible monster that inhabits labyrinths.
Paranormal Order RPG Playbook
The Minotaur is a paranormal creature of Blood that inhabits labyrinths, manifested from the Greek mythological figure of the Minotaur. This creature is one of the first to have been trapped in a captive species to be studied by paranormal researchers. However, to this day no one knows the exact reasons why someone would arrest this beast and keep it alive somewhere.
Its first appearance was in the 7th episode of Calamity, found at the labyrinth of Domus Aurea by the Escribes,[1] where it was also killed by them.
After, the Panacea Industries planned on using a Minotaur under the codename of "Taurus" to try to destroy a primal Nidere manifestation, but it was not enough.
Appearance[]
This creature is extremely similar to the Greek myth: a humanoid and muscular body dressed in a thin layer of hair, imitating a bull, being its head totally in the shape of a bull, with two large bloody horns that extend horizontally. Despite this, its face is more like the carcass of the face of an ox, with uts snout completely absent from skin or flesh, also having the shape of teeth resembling the skeleton of the animal. On top of its face and running along its back is a large brown mane, with this brown part extending to the right side of its body.
Its right part has whitish and pale hair, an arm with sharp claws and two legs that, instead of hooves, has two foots with forked toes with sharp nails. On the part of the other half of its body, the Minotaur is covered by a large infection, with tumors intertwining with large bubbles around, along with large red and pulsating veins. Its left arm is completely deformed by the blood on the part of its forearm which, in place of its hand, is an axe with double blades fused into its bones and flesh.
Behaviour[]
When the lever of its labyrinth is found and used, the Minotaur comes out of a pool of blood that appears on the wall and attacks those present. The creature exhibits aggressive behavior, using a charge when it sees several targets lined up in front of it, being very strong and almost unstoppable, trapping one of them in its horns to attack it. When it realizes that its targets are aligned, but in another part of the maze, the Minotaur crosses the wall entering a pool of blood and exits the corridor of its targets.
The Minotaur seeks to impale its victims increasingly on their large horns to shatter and devour them, while using its bestial instinct to navigate its labyrinth. If it is defeated, its head will turn to stone.
In the middle of the maze, on an ancient plaque, is depicted three warriors using different items to attack the Minotaur, one using a ball of wool, one wielding a crystal dagger, and another holding a red cape. The only way to stop the Minotaur is to use the three items shown on the labyrinth tablet.[2]
The Minotaur showed focus and was easily distracted by the red cape,[3] while the dagger,[4] when used on it, caused enough physical damage, disorienting it. The ball of wool, however, was not used in combat, making its purpose unknown.
