Paranormal Order RPG: Surviving the Horror

Memento Mori is a Death creature with complements of Knowledge and Fear that has legends that can be found throughout human history hundreds of years ago. Some believe it arose from the Fear generated from the plague doctors in the 14th century, which symbolized a wave of death and pestilence that brought the end of thousands. A story repeated several times becomes real, especially with the Other Side in the middle of this.

Appearance[]

It is a humanoid hooded creature, whose face is a skull of a rotten bird with Black Ooze dripping from where its eyes should be. Memento Mori wears a cloak that blends into a long dark garment and also a cloak resembling the black feathers of a dead bird. Finally, in its hands, it wears a black leather glove and carries the final hourglass filled with ashes.

Behaviour[]

Not everyone can see Memento Mori, but the few chosen as its victims are consumed by despair and the memory that it was always destined, but never so close. Everyone chooses to forget, but the face of this being is the end of this choice, where it slowly arrives towards the chosen one and each step is a memory, for it will never be further away than before. Memento Mori cannot be killed, only dispelled, and any method of ridding its target of its pursuit is totally unknown.

Memento Mori always carries the Death Hourglass with it, which marks the remaining time of its prey through the flowing sand. If it loses its hourglass, it will fully focus on retrieving the cursed item.
