Mathew Geleerd was a student from Nostradamus High School, being a supporting character in The Paranormal Order and one of the responsibles of the fire in the school.

Appearance

Mathew is a very skinny young kid, 5.35 feet tall, brown hair spread in half and also brown eyes with a round glasses. In his school record he wears a green shirt with a red tie.

Personality

According to the Nostradamus School records, he’s an excellent student, as it would expect from his parents. He appears to be a shy and insecure young man, despite his intelligence and honesty. Mathew also seems to be quite good at programming, as is mentioned by the same when saying that he programmed an algorithm for his Facebook.

Biography

Past

Mathew Geleerd was born in January 11, 2005, being the only son of Renan and Marcela Geleerd, two great chemical scientists awarded, and like his parents, Mathew won several scientific competitions, possessing a vast amount of prizes displayed in his home.

Eventually Mathew starts to study in Nostradamus High School and becomes a very close friend of Gabriel Opspor and Gustavo. When his friend Gabriel begins to suspect the disappearance of the girls students, the trio begins an investigation at the school, which leads to two suspects, Alexsander Kothe, a new history teacher, and Agatha Volkomenn, a student that had her mom arrested by a series of murders.

During further investigations around Agatha, the friends discover that in the library where she worked there was a secret passage, and this leads Gabriel, because of his paranoia, to go to the school at night and confront her with the purpose of making her confess her guilt in the disappearance of the students, and Mathew would be in charge of taking a camera to film the whole act.

The Film

The film starts with Gustavo walking in the library, next to Mathew who films everything. The two arrive at a bookcase at the opposite end of the library entrance, where a secret door opens behind the bookcase leading to an underground staircase. The two descend into the bunker and are startled by something, which causes Mathew to drop the camera. Still on the ground, the camera continues to film. Someone catches the camera a while later, filming Gabriel with a knife holding Agatha who is kneeling in front of him with her mouth covered with a tape.

The camera starts shaking again and Gabriel kills Agatha, having a confrontation between the three boys. Mathew insists that Gabriel should not have killed Agatha, to which he replies, calmly and coldly: "Mathew, did you know what they were going to do?". Moments after Agatha's death, a paranormal creature begins to manifest from her body and murders Gustavo as the three argued. After the death of his friend, Mathew and Gabriel flee the school leaving the camera behind and end up generating a fire while trying to destroy the creature. After the fire, Mathew and Gabriel no longer contacted.

The Paranormal Order

After analyzing the crime scene at Nostradamus School and finding the connection between the case and the teacher Alexsander Kothe, a team of Ordo Realitas investigators returns with the teacher to the school to look for an entrance to the secret bunker they found to exist beneath the library. After an analysis of the library, the four find a damaged camera that contained footage showing the events that led not only to the apparent murder of Agatha Volkomenn, as also the accidental creation of the creature that was haunting the place.

Upon examining the camera, Mathew’s last name was found written on it, the investigators found his file and went to visit to find out more about what had happened. Upon arriving at the location they find Mathew alone at home and convince him to let them in so they can talk to him since only Alex and Elizabeth could come in. After an argument with the other two agents who broke into the house, Mathew decides to tell more about the fire, Agatha and the disappearances.

After the first contact with the Ordo Realitas agents, Mathew even scared, developed a great interest in the paranormal which made his family meet Tristan Monteiro, who recognized the talent of his parents, making them members of great importance in the Order.

This stems from the fact that he was one of the only ones who did not judge her because of her mother and warned her about Gabriel possibly being aggressive with her, unlike the missing girls and Gabriel and Gustavo.
