I don’t know if I’ve talked to you before, but... my mother died in circumstances very similar to that boy.
Elizabeth Webber[3]
Lucille Webber[4] was the mother of Elizabeth Webber, one of the protagonists of Paranormal Order.[5] Not much is known about her, other than that her death, which had suspicious circumstances, was one of the motivators for Liz to join Ordo Realitas.[6] She was mentioned by her daughter with great affection, who used to keep a picture of her always close to you.[5]
According to Liz, Lucille was a great driver, and the fact that she died in a mysterious car accident made her believe in something paranormal surrounding her death.[5][7] Since her departure, Liz has become much colder and more aggressive with others, afraid to cling to people and lose them again.[2]
Appearance[]
Lucille was a woman in her 40s, with long curly brown hair and blue eyes, and a dot on her left cheek, on her jaw. In the photo that Elizabeth keeps, she is seen wearing a green shirt with long sleeves.[8]
Personality[]
She is described as a very loving and caring woman, but who was always very strong and independent, who did everything perfectly, and was basically a perfect woman.[2]
Biography[]
Lucille Webber was born in 1970 to unknown parents.[1] She had her daughter, Elizabeth, very young, with 21 years old, having become pregnant from a man she met in a bar on a one-night stand. Such an occurrence was common and frequent for Lucille, who had a lot of fun spending weekends with friends in bars and occasionally getting with some guy who attracted her, but this man of unknown name charmed her in a unique way: he was extremely charismatic, with a big mouth, someone she’d never met before. However, despite this, she kept no contact with him, not taking his phone number, and without even knowing the name of this man, went on with life.[2]
A month after this meeting, she discovered pregnancy. In giving the news to her parents (with whom she still lived), she was expelled from the house, they considered her a shame to the family, for tarnishing the name Webber, for being a single mother at 21, in the 90s.[2]
With this event, she left her parents' house and decided to raise Elizabeth, even if she went alone. To stay and survive, she was forced to stop her studies, moved to a tiny apartment and began to do several jobs: she worked as a saleswoman, when she had time on weekends worked as a maid, focusing only on supporting herself. She woke up early and slept late to work, and as a result, she slept little every day. And so she lived for years, striving, doing her best, and supporting the house and paying her daughter’s studies to get into a federal college.[2]
On January 10, 2010, Lucille calls her daughter, warning that she is returning from a nearby town, where she had gone to work, and that she would arrive in about an hour. This arrival never happened, because due to a "car accident", Lucille died.[2]
Death[]
The nature of the car accident was, to say the least, doubtful. There was almost nothing left of the car’s remains, it had been destroyed. There was no other person involved in the case, no car that hit Lucille’s, just nothing that caused the accident. It was as if she had simply veered off course suddenly, and at too high a speed to leave the car and body in the found state. This did not make sense to Elizabeth, since Lucille was a very careful, thorough and attentive to detail person, as well as an excellent driver, who did not exceed 1 km above the speed limit and had never been fined.[2][5]
The "accident" left Lucille’s body in pieces, severe to the point that it was not possible for the expert to do reconnaissance, and to the point that the police did not allow her daughter to see the remains. The body was identified through the burnt remains of personal belongings, such as the bag, a notebook, pocket mirror, which were recognized by Liz herself as the belongings of the mother.[2]
Police records were made, the case was dismissed, and Lucille’s death was only recorded as a "traffic accident".[2]
Trivia[]
- Liz's age after facing The God of Death was the same Lucille would have if she was still alive, in this case, 50 years old.[1]
