The Lighthouse is one of the first places shown in The Secret in the Island, having the first appearance in the 1st episode, being the place where the lighthouse keeper Celestino Vurtoren resides.[1]

Later, it was discovered that in the 15th century, in place of the lighthouse, the Tenebris' Bell Tower was present, the place where paranormal events occurred by hooded individuals that contained a face painting of the ink substance.

With the arrival of the Order of Hunters in the region, led by the leader and patriarch, Ângelo Amadeu Moretti, aiming to stop the weakening of the veil in the region, the Lighthouse Keeper Tradition was created, in which he names a guardian to be responsible for keeping the secrets and protecting the veil of that place for the next generations, passing the responsibility from father to son and following the strict obligations due to the position.

History[]

Around the 1500s, during the period of colonization, the Ângelo Amadeu Moretti's arrival, patriarch and leader of the Order of Hunters in Tipora Island was marked, which is a family of Italian origin in which the most were explorers and bon-vivant, who travel the world in search of new discoveries.[2]

On the island, several conflicts with the natives of the Tipora Island were observed, being noticeable the physiognomy of hooded individuals that contained a facial painting of the substance of the ink. At that time, in place of the lighthouse, the Tenebris' Bell Tower was present. Through the vision of the Lighthouse painting, the natives of the Isle of Tipora performed mysterious practices in the Tenebris' Hall. To prevent the weakening of the veil at the place, the Order of Hunters created the Lighthouse Keeper Tradition, appointing a guardian to be responsible for keeping the secrets and protecting the veil's place, passing the responsibility from father to son and following the strict due post's obligations.

In mid-1962, the famous Brazilian painter Constantino and his wife Noralma moved to the remote island in search of the mysterious ink, and there they encountered the presence of the current guardian of the time, William Vurtoren, and their two sons, Roberto and Celestino Vurtoren who are later revealed to be both descended from the same Ângelo Moretti's family.

Years later, after the corruption of the Vurtoren Family due to the effect of the ink accidentally caused by Constantine, the current guardian spends much of his life suffering from the withdrawal caused by it. Occasionally, because it was not able to continue the tradition of its lineage, the veil was left unprotected during the arrival of new visitors, generating several nonconformities in Tipora.
