During the 5th episode of The Secret in the Island, Livia had her neck brutally torn by Celestino Vurtoren in the Moretti's Mansion.[2]

In an old photograph, little Livia had blond hair, wearing a white social blouse underneath a blue vest and a white scarf around her neck.

In modern times, Livia was a middle-aged woman, had fair skin and brown, unshaven hair tied in a bun. She wore a white apron over a long-sleeved burgundy shirt, along with a pair of brown shoes.

Personality[]

Lívia was an aggressive woman without patience, being rude and yelling at most people, even attacking others when she loses control. She also used to drink a lot and faint after drinking too much alcohol, Lívia was extremely uncomfortable about any subject involving the Moretti's Mansion, being the main thing to make her lose control.

Biography[]

Past[]

Lívia Lima was born in October 27, 1970, in Tipora, daughter of Leila Lima and Emério Cunha. She lived and grew up at Constantino's mansion, having her own diary where she wrote down everything that happened in her day-to-day, and wrote some stories of her own, such as "The Killer Painter and the Phantom Bride", because she believed that Constantino did terrible things on the 3rd floor.

One day, together with Evandro, Bartô, Barnabé, Berenice and Návia, Lívia decides to explore the 3rd floor of the mansion, seeking to learn about the mysteries there. Návia stayed behind because she had no interest in what was there, leaving the others rising. While walking there, Barnabé was enchanted by one of the paintings there, while Lívia, Evandro, Bartô and Berenice tried to crowd themselves at the door of the studio. Evandro accidentally bumped into Bartô, knocking him down and opening the door, witnessing the scene of an old Constantino in a wheelchair, making another painting. Bartô eventually had his arm stained by a bucket of paint from the place, and upon seeing this, the four despaired and ran from there. From that day on, Lívia cut off relations with everyone, depriving herself of the village people in the mansion. She was also "abandoned" by her parents, who locked themselves in one of the rooms on the third floor to admire the painting Constantino made for them.

When older, Lívia left the island, staying around 6 to 10 years off the island. She ended up relating to a man who impregnated her and abandoned her. Seeing her situation, Lívia was forced to return to Tipora, where she lived in a house next to the mansion, together with her daughter, Bárbara Lima.

The Secret in the Island[]

Day 1[]

Lívia spent the whole day in her room, and was not seen during that day, being only mentioned by Bárbara.

Day 2[]

Lívia appears early in the day, furiously knocking on the door of Bárbara's bedroom, asking why Bartô was there looking for his son, and when Bárbara opens up, she quarrels with her daughter and with Milo, who was also there. When Milo leaves with Bartô, Livia slaps Bárbara in the face, and grounds her, forbidding her to leave the house.

Lívia is seen the same day at the church party, drinking much of the wine that was there. A while later, she faints from drinking, and Barnabé puts her in a sofa.

Day 3[]

Milo and Olivier, after finding Cavalcante's dead body, go to the village, and by telling that to Adrian and Barnabé, an uproar is created and several people go to see what happened. Lívia, seeing the body, goes into shock and yells about having a monster on the island.

She returns to her home, finding Bárbara and Amelie there, she yells at Bárbara to stay home, Bárbara disobeys her and when Livia would slap her in the face, Amelie stops, they fight and it ends with Lívia locking the two in the house and going to her room.

Day 4[]

Earlier in the day, Livia is seen attacking the large painting of Constantino. She fights with Montel who was trying to stop her and fights with Angelina who tries to defend her husband. She is calmed by Wanderley, and leaves the mansion going to her home, being followed by Bárbara, that asks her why she hides so many secrets.

Later that day, Lívia is seen in the church due to the rally. Throughout the discussion she remains silent, and after the confusion involving Bartô and Evandro, she talks a little with Amelie, stating that Bárbara had abandoned her.

Day 5[]

When Milo, Bárbara, Evandro and Otávio arrive at the mansion, they see Lívia and Celestino, in a disturbed and animalistic state. During this fight, Celestine tears Livia’s neck, killing her in front of her daughter.

Relationships[]

  • Bárbara Lima: Lívia treated her daughter very badly, screaming and even physically beating her when she disrespected her orders, but deep down she cared a lot, being strict with Bárbara believing that with this she was "protecting". It is shown that Lívia was very shaken after thinking that her daughter had abandoned her.[3]
