You... You... You're the marked one, I found it!

José[1]

José was an occultist who was part of the Escribes. He was partying in one of St. Menefreda Orphanage's rooms[2] when he was found by D-Force agents, getting into a confrontation and being killed by Kaiser.[3]

José was a tall and strong man, with fair skin, black hair combed back slightly gray on the sides, a goatee also black and one eye slightly whitish and the other without a pupil.[4] He wore a mantle that covered the right part of his body, black pants and walked barefoot. He had his entire body covered in Escribes tattoos.[5]

Biography[]

Past[]

Nothing is known about José's past, only that he joined the Escribes in an unknown year.

A few days before the start of Deconjuration, he would give Agent Elizabeth Webber some Escribes tattoos, realizing that she was a marked[6] and sending an email to inform an unknown Escribe.[7]

Deconjuration[]

He was enjoying a Metallic Dragons song with other Escribes in the orphanage's ballroom until he was attacked by D-Force members.[4] During this fight, José was killed by a shot of Kaiser in your head.[3]

After his death, Henri intended to call José to participate in his challenges against the agents of the Order, finding out about his death and replacing him with another Escribe who also had a scythe.[8]

Arsenal[]

Improvised scythe
A cursed scythe. José was carrying in his hands what at first glance appears to be an ordinary scythe, but upon closer inspection it turns out to be a knife with wave marks similar to Henri's knife, tied to a pipe to increase reach. When slashing someone with this knife, the target is lacerated causing a much greater wound than the cut itself should inflict.[9][10]
