Jorge Lagos[3]
Jorge Lagos was one of the protagonists of the series Paranormal Order, present in Gruesome Christmas.[2]
Jorge, after having a fight with his brother, Jorel, decided to travel to escape from the family, but changed his mind at the last moment and chose to return home. However, he soon found that fate had other plans for him, leading him to an unexpected journey to the Goodwill Moon's Camp.
Jorge was killed by a revolver shot by his own brother, Jorel, who was aiming at Jae. Jorge had immobilized Jae and, by entering the line of fire after the agents of the Order asked to not kill them, got shot.
Appearance[]
Jorge was a white, blond man with blue eyes. He had well-combed hair, wore a black and white striped shirt under a blue jacket with white details, along with jeans that were complemented by a brown belt. He also wore black shoes and carried a yellowish scarf around his neck.
Personality[]
Jorge was quite fearful and extremely individualistic and self-centered, always prioritizing his own well-being and security in relation to others. When Ayla and Melissa were running away from Jae, he mocked the situation and fled then, demonstrating the character of someone insensitive and remorseless. However, there was a moment when Jorge showed some empathy, being at the end of the 2nd episode of Gruesome Christmas, when he said to Breno that they should help those who were left behind, even if later he changed his mind when the basketball player told him to get in the car. Another remarkable point is that his attitude of indifference with those he didn't know was different in relation to those he knew, especially when it referred to his brother, Jorel, since Jorge cared very much for him, even in the midst of fights and quarrels.
Biography[]
Past[]
Jorge, oldest brother of Jorel, made up that she was dating someone virtually. In 2022, some time before Christmas Eve and after a fight with his brother, Jorge decided to go on a trip, saying that he would find his web girlfriend, although the real reason for the trip was to run away from his family.[4] However, halfway through the journey, he changed his mind and decided to return. However, on December 21, he ended up, for some reason, in the Goodwill Moon's Camp, a gruesome place that would show him the consequences of his decision.
Gruesome Christmas[]
On December 21, 2022, Jorge takes a bus under the reason that he would "find a web girlfriend". However, he and 5 more people in the bus are caught on the road in front of the Goodwill Moon's Camp in Inquisidor do Vale, Paraná. He comes down to help the bus driver to change the flat tire, but as soon as he and the passengers look away while they were talking about the situation, soon after they realize that the driver had disappeared. Without choice, the six head to a dirt road leading to the camp indicated by the sign.
After entering through the iron gate, the group splits, with Jorge following the group formed by Ayla, Breno and Melissa, to a rather destroyed cabin, next to some picnic tables. However, as soon as they see the other two passengers, Lucio and Mike, that went the other direction, running away from enraged dogs, they run towards a huge mansion further on, the Juno House. As soon as they arrive, Jorge and Melissa try to call the police, being answered by the emergency service, who tells them that a local car would do their rescue. The group explores the house and everyone realizes that it was well preserved and tidy for Christmas festivities. They find gifts and a Christmas tree mounted next to a fireplace with a large portrait of a young woman with a glazed and macabre look, wearing a blood-stained dress. Jorge approaches to open one of the gifts under the tree, finding nothing inside. However, it doesn't take long before deputy Aguiar arrives to help the group. He tells them to stay safe inside the house while he makes a patrol of the surroundings. Some time later, a bang is heard by all and the light of the house is then turned off.
Jorge and the others become afraid and look for the control panel of the house to check if it is possible to turn on the lights again. However, when they open the back door looking for that panel, they see a hooded figure with a big red "X" floating in front of the face. Seeing that figure in the middle of the trees, they realize and feel that they need to find the key to unlock the doors that have now all been locked. The figure was lurking, hidden, waiting to be found before the key.
The group begins a desperate search for the keys in the house. Jorge follows Lucio and Mike to the second floor, but is unsuccessful in their initial investigation. In this, everyone hears Ayla's scream, who ended up coming across the killer figure and was stabbed by her. Hearing the figure asking for silence, the three upstairs rush to find the key, with Mike lucky enough to find a set of keys inside a pocket from the pool table in the gaming room. To hurry up, Mike suggests that Jorge and Lucio jump off the mezzanine with him, and so do the three of them, with Jorge having a perfect landing. The three run to the front door of the house, testing three of the ten keys present, but without success. In this, Breno, who had been left behind and was being pursued by the figure, takes a push with all his forces and reaches the rest of the group, involving them in the pursuit. Everyone runs to the kitchen and after a few attempts between Jorge and Breno, they manage to open the door. Before leaving, Jorge looks back, seeing the figure almost reaching Ayla and Melissa, lamenting in a snickering way that the girls, the "pretty ones", would be the first to die. In addition, he also makes a note with one of the pages of his diary, making a drawing of the bus and warning about the "evil dogs", sticking the paper on the refrigerator door.
Leaving the house, the passengers gather in front of the house, but with mixed feelings: the sadness of Melissa and the heated discussion of the boys after seeing the horrible scene of Ayla being killed by the figure. Without thinking twice, the five survivors follow in a dark direction from the camp, finding another cabin. They see, behind it, a kind of generator, with a manual how to turn on. In the indecision of what to do with the device, they hear once again the request for silence, as if the figure was lurking them in the shadows. The group then divides: Lucio and Mike stay in the generator, while Jorge and the others go in the other direction, finding a kind of mini-camp. While investigating him, Jorge rumbles the grave of someone named Alice Lucina, finding a rotting female corpse, and next to it, a mask made of flesh covering her face. Giving the mask to Melissa, the young woman feels an impulse and punches Jorge.
The group meets again, and with the help of the valve found in the mini-camp, they turn on the generator of the cabin. Going up the stairs, they try to break down its door, but eventually, they think about using some of the keys from before, managing to open it. As they enter, the figure once again lurks in the shadows, striking Lucio from behind. Once again, he asks for silence, as if she mocks the group. They are just a joke to them. The group enters the cabin, finding an anti-inflammatory, but nothing more. The group waits for a while inside the cabin, until they hear the police siren. Through the window, they see the car parked next to them. Breno and Jorge leave the cabin and walk towards the car. And meanwhile, the sound of silence is heard... but not outside.
The figure begins to chase who was inside the cabin. Breno and Jorge, although initially not involved in the scene, soon need to run when the others approach, followed by the figure. While the figure stabs and kills Mike and Lucio, Jorge and the others manage to get close to Aguiar, who orders them to get in the car. The figure approaches the deputy, who screams at him, appearing to be afraid. The deputy then puts down his gun and shows friendly to the figure. Calling her Jae and mocking the number of deaths, he pulls a mask. The mask of the Night Mutilator. The two killers turn to the three survivors in the car and walk towards them.
The three are kidnapped by the assassins. For three days, Jorge, Breno and Melissa were trapped in the attic of Juno House, hooked and gagged, being mocked by Aguiar and forced to drink water, only to stay alive and suffer more. But a glimmer of hope comes when they hear the sounds of people walking under them, trying to open the attic. Breno is the first to get out of the hook, helping the other two to come out, with difficulty. After a while recovering, the three go to the attic door, hearing footsteps and screams coming from below. They try to open with some of the keys of the set that they had, managing to open it. Pulling up the door, they see Jorel, Ricardo and Shanyqua, who climb the vertical staircase and meet with the trio. Jorel and Jorge meet again and start arguing about why they were there, with Shanyqua and Melissa coming into conflict as well. However, their attention turns first to Joto, who followed Ricardo and was also at the bottom floor, and for something that was stinking on the other side of the attic. Jorge, hearing footsteps outside the house, quickly goes down and takes the dog, throwing it to Melissa, who puts it inside her blouse.
After putting a barrel on top of the attic hatch, to prevent the entry of the assassins and hearing the Night Mutilator passing under them, the rest of the group investigates the other side of the attic, finding a dead cop hanging on a hook. With this, the six begin to discuss about the information that each trio had with them, about the history of Alice Lucina, the rituals she and her husband did, the grave previously dug by Jorge, among other matters. During the conversation, Jorge finds a metal key that he hadn't noticed before on the floor, keeping it in his pocket. Then, when Ricardo notices a staircase next to one of the attic windows, quickly the six organize themselves to get out of the attic there. After some obstacles, with the ladder almost falling, everyone manages to get down.
After the descent, they start walking around the camp, soaked by rain. The group notices the old chest that Jorel and Shanyqua had noticed, but when the girl tries to open it, she doesn't notice a bear trap placed right in front of her, trapping her foot and immobilizing her. The rest of the group mobilizes to take her out, also opening the chest with one of the keys of the set they had. However, while the group tries to help her, they do not hear the silence. The sound of the request for silence. Coming as a shadow, the figure passes through everyone, appearing behind Shanyqua and stabbing her in the back. At the same time, on the other side, the Night Mutilator cornered them. Jorge and the others decide to run away, taking what they had taken from the chest with them, leaving only Ricardo and Shanyqua behind. Soon after, only Ricardo refinds the group, while the cries of Shanyqua being killed by the two assassins echo behind him.
After the escape, the rest of the group continues to run for something to help them, finding the bus that the first trio was before. Walking a little further forward, they find the cabin where Ricardo had gotten hooked, where Jorge, when entering, almost steps in a bear trap. When entering, they see a radio to use. Breno turns on the radio, putting in the frequency indicated by the card of the police cop, contacting someone from the other side of the line, that was kinda part of a group: the Blue Condominium Detectives. The person tells them to set up a plan and join together to fight the assassins as they prepare to go to the scene, assuming and stating that the assassins could be strong but they are dumb. In addition, Melissa and Jorge find a tabloid magazine talking about a certain sales influencer named Jae-Yoon, who got involved in a controversy with another influencer, and then disappeared suddenly, tying this name to the X mask killer.
As the group discusses how to fight the killers, they recall a page talking about a poem of Santa fighting an evil force, and seeing that the drawings of the figures looked like the killers, they try to come up with a plan to confront them. Meanwhile, Ricardo comes down from the cabin and finds both Night Mutilator's Hunting Dogs. Melissa stands in front to try to distract them with the plush bone she had, succeeding. However, when Joto starts moving inside her shirt and falls down, she fails to maintain the distraction, and one of the dogs jumps on her, biting her arm. Breno and Ricardo try to help her, while Jorge thinks of other plans: he runs towards Melissa and rips the mask off her arm, running in front of everyone to the Diamond Lake. Seeing the Night Mutilator coming, the group begins to run away, but when Ricardo awakens a bestial force and destroys one of the killer’s dogs, he starts running as if there were no tomorrow after who killed his doggy, ignoring the rest of the survivors.
In the middle of this, Melissa, angry with Jorge’s actions, jumps on him, trying to stick her mini knife in his head for stealing her mask. Seeing the fight, Jorel points the gun to Melissa. She and Jorge agree to give the mask to the armed boy, hoping that this would end the fight. But they didn't expect Jorel to wear the mask. He begins to feel an infestation of feelings. Everything is blood for him. Aflored by the incessant thirst for blood of the Menhuntress, he points the gun at Melissa and shoots, blowing the girl’s head, leaving Breno and Jorge horrified. Jorge, shocked by the scene, tries to reconcile with his brother, but is threatened to leave.
With this, Jorge goes to the Juno House, taking Joto and the set of keys. He goes to the trapdoor that had in the house, covered by a carpet and tries to open it. After three keys, on the fourth he manages to open, but as soon as he lifts the door, he hears the sound of the request for silence. In reflex, he throws Joto towards Jae, who jumps back a little but still hits him. Jorge jumps into the trapdoor and about five meters later, he steps on the ground in a dark tunnel, being watched by Jae. Walking through the tunnel, he finds a kind of paper with some e-mails, from deputy Aguiar to someone called Dalmo, where he understands that Aguiar doesn't like Jae, and if he could, he would get rid of her.
He leaves through a hatch from the tunnels and meets with Breno. The two try to discuss what to do, until both are approached by Jorel, with the gun in hand. Jorge tries to reconcile with his brother, who was taken by anger and thirst for blood. Jorel threatens the two, pointing the gun at Jorge and making both run. As they run away, the figure comes behind Jorel, giving a light laugh and starting to talk with him. At the end of the conversation, both killers decide to compete to chase Breno and Jorge. However, the two throw one of the grenades they had found, a smoke grenade, starting to run to get away from the killers. Jae, realizing that his favorite part has arrived, takes the impulse to run, but Jorel, who was already decided on what he would do, pulls her hood, revealing Jae’s face and shooting them in the face, starting a fight between them.
Jorge and Breno return to help Jorel, and Jorge advances towards Jae with the knife he took from Melissa. But Breno throws a light grenade that bursts in the middle of the three, leaving them stunned. The three come together to try to attack Jae, tearing a bit of his jacket. But she moves away and points behind them, saying that now they were screwed. In this, Jorge makes the connection that the the Dalmo mentioned by deputy Aguiar's e-mail was the same Dalmo, driver of the bus in which they were. And as they look back, they see the big man, now wearing a 1950s diver’s helmet and some redesigned rag clothes, also known as the Colossus. However, as he begins to advance towards them, a car horn and a scream echo from behind of Dalmo, who is run over by a huge van with a symbol. Leaving the car, a woman and two young mens, holding bladed and fire weapons, which spot the survivors and ask for the trio to hold Jae, while Dalmo remains on the ground, run over by the car.
Although the Order agents asked to not kill the assassin, Jorel ignores and shoots with the revolver. To prevent Jae from being killed and prevent Jorel from also killing someone else, Jorge steps in front of the shot, ironically being killed in cold blood by his brother and making him completely lose control.
