Johnny Tabasco

Johnny Tabasco is an Ordo Realitas agent and partner of Rubens Naluti. Both initially presented themselves as "bounty hounters" that let themselves be captured by an occultist group they were hunting, and, by coincidence, the pair ends up being taken to the same Reality Show that Erin Parker and Fernando Carvalho, also Order agents, during the 7th episode of Deconjuration.

Currently, Johnny is in a hospital in the city of São Paulo, hospitalized in a coma after being seriously injured during the second game of The Host he passed through with Rubens.

Appearance

Johnny is a tall and strong man, light-skinned, short brown hair with gray parts, shaved beard and brown eyes. He wears a green flannel shirt, blue jeans and a belt accompanied by a holster hidden in his waist. Johnny has scars all over his face: one cutting from the middle of his forehead to his hair, another cutting his eyebrow, and two more vertically cutting his left cheek. He also lacks the ring and pinky fingers of his left hand.

Personality

Johnny is a strong, hard-headed man, being described as the muscle of the duo, with his partner Rubens being the smart one. Johnny is quite impulsive, acting thoughtlessly and being even irresponsible in certain cases, just relying on his luck, which, according to himself, sometimes works. Although he seems very explosive first-hand, he expresses solidarity, even if discreetly, for his companions and more specifically for his team partner.

Johnny appears to be very aggressive towards people he does not know, questioning them and being even violent if he deems it necessary. He always takes the lead in fighting, even if that’s not the smartest decision.

Biography

Past

Johnny Tabasco was born between 1978 and 1979. His past mostly remains unknown, all that is known is that he lived in the St. Menefreda Orphanage when he was a child, and that he somehow got involved and had gambling problems.

Eventually he joined Ordo Realitas and during his early years in the organization, Johnny used to go on Scout missions with the other agents. At the time the members of the Order wore masks, in which Johnny almost always took off, and used the code name "Verity" to protect their identities. In one of these missions, Johnny, along with Arnaldo Fritz, Antônio Pontevedra and Luciano Carvalho, participated in an extermination against the family of Theodore Bagwell, a group of cannibal savages, which results in the death of all family members but Theodore.

Eventually, Johnny formed a duo with Rubens Naluti, and both, with Samuel Norte's help, started to investigate The Host. By discovering about The Host's Room, a location where an occultist group was taking their kidnapped victims and making them go through a series of sadistic riddles, filming and relaying to the internet through a series of cameras throughout the site, Rubens and Johnny allow themselves to be kidnapped to continue the investigation.

Deconjuration

After being captured, Rubens and Johnny find themselves in a fully lit room, together with two other people: Erin Parker and Fernando Carvalho. The duo present themselves to the D-Force agents as simple "bounty hunters" who arrived at the place looking for treasures, the four then decide to help each other to escape from that place. After going through several deadly challenges in the last room, where there seemed to be no way out, Rubens and Johnny reveal that they are also Ordo Realitas agents, They then tell of their plan to let themselves be captured so they can destroy that place from the inside out. After they finish off all the members of The Host's Production that were there, Johnny informs the location of the Orphanage to Luciano and Erin, and leaves with Rubens on his car.

Post time-skip

After escaping in the previous mission, the duo obtained several information about The Host, however, during another mission, the two agents fell into a trap and were caught by surprise by the production, participating unprepared in one of the sadistic games of the cult. During one of the games, Johnny was extremely debilitated and Rubens with an opening in his chest.

Johnny is currently hospitalized, surviving on braces, while Rubens makes frequent visits to him.

Trivia

• In the stream of 12/14/2020, Alan revealed that he was unintentionally inspired by the character Joel, from the universe of The Last of Us, when he was creating Johnny.
• Johnny seems to be obsessed with gambling, being extremely tempted to push a red button on The Host's Room, even though this is synonymous with danger. Finally, Fernando Carvalho suggests that they press the button to find out what was the "surprise" written on it, making Johnny press it without hesitation, with all pleasure.
• Johnny is one of the oldest living members of the Order, along with Mr. Verity, Chizue Akechi, Antônio Pontevedra and Aaron.
• Despite being currently in a coma, Johnny seems to maintain some awareness of what is happening around him, as his heartbeat has become faster after Balu took a picture of him next to Rubens Naluti in the hospital.
• In the end of the 7th episode of Deconjuration, Luciano Carvalho and Johnny failed an intelligence test, which would make them remember each other if they succeeded. Later, in the 11th episode of Calamity, it was revealed that both participated together in a Scout mission, which was the one that caused the massacre of the family of T-Bag.
