Jeffrey Bacon is one of the protagonists of the series Paranormal Order, present in Paranormal Order: Quarantine.^[1]

He was at Panacea Industries in Mexico City, registering for the medical trial in search of quick money,^[2] which resulted in his abduction and exposure to various experiments with the Infecticide virus.

Jeffrey is a tall white young man, with long dark blond hair (down to his jaw) covered by a cap with faded light blue pompoms, honey-colored eyes and acne pimples on his cheeks. He has thick eyebrows, a slightly protruding nose, and a friendly smile.

Jeffrey wears a crumpled white t-shirt with a drawing of a UFO with an alien in the center, overlaid by a cold-weather blouse, with a yellow zipper, open in crimson red and white drawstrings, and ripped jeans on the right thigh and above the waist. left knee, black socks and white All Star sneakers.

After the events of the "Part 1", aiming to protect himself from the cold of Igneus Station, Jeffrey change his clothes for some winter clothes left in the director's office. He wears a white coat with cyan details over his red jacket, now closed up, a red scarf with its tip mixed in yellow and grey colors, winter glasses with orange lens, brown gloves, beige pants and reforced snow boots in the white color.

Personality[]

Jeffrey is an energetic, charismatic, yet fearful young man. He easily becomes anxious in dangerous situations and is quite clumsy when dealing with tense moments. Despite this, he has a strong moral compass, valuing the lives of children and animals. He attempts to prove himself useful in the investigations in his own way, even though the group doesn't have much confidence in his abilities.

Past[]

Not much is known about Jeffrey's past, only that he suffered a trauma in childhood, which caused him to lose part of his memories. Apparently, when he was little, he went to a summer camp, however, a group of creatures extremely similar to the one he encountered at Igneus Station caused carnage there, and only he survived, but he has no idea how.

Quarantine[]

Jeffrey is a young man who works as a pizza delivery guy. One day, he was delivering pizza to the offices of Panacea Industries and ended up agreeing to participate in a survey for 5 dollars. During this, he met Dr. Benito Camelo and Luis Miguel Kennedy, who were also participating in the survey questionnaire with him. The questionnaire was extremely morbid, involving questions about sacrificing lives and cannibalism for survival. Jeffrey found everything very strange and commented on the situation with the two men. However, the three of them found themselves locked in a room, and an object was left in the room, releasing smoke that caused them to pass out.

When Jeffrey woke up, he found himself in a very hot bunker with various pipes emitting smoke. He was tied up in the room along with four other people, but he saw a man releasing the handcuffs that bound him to the pipes. This man handed him the key to free the others and then left the room, leaving Jeffrey with the task of saving the others without providing many explanations. He felt nervous but proceeded to release Luis and close the valves in the room.

Once everything calmed down, he talked to Luis, Benito, Lucie, and Diego about the situation and the mysterious man who had given him the keys. They noticed the strange glove attached to their wrists, which injected a cold substance from time to time. The group even attempted to remove the glove, but without success.

During this time, the mysterious man returned and introduced himself as Micael. He claimed to work at the facility but needed their help to escape with their lives. Jeffrey and the group, with few options, followed Micael to a room where they found a map indicating the location of vital information and items they needed to escape. At that point, Jeffrey, Benito, and Micael separated from the rest and headed for the laboratory.

On the way, Micael hesitated with them, saying he would stay locked in a secure office while they went to the lab. Benito didn't like this at all, and Jeffrey witnessed the two of them arguing in the doorway. The door closed and severed Micael's arm with the glove, leaving Jeffrey in complete shock and disgust. He questioned Benito's moral integrity as a doctor, but Benito ignored him and took the severed hand with him.

Upon arriving in the laboratory, they saw a man fighting a creature to protect a little girl trapped inside a room. Despite his fear, Jeffrey and Benito decided to help the man, but they realized he was already infected and without protective gloves. While Benito tied the dying man to the floor, Jeffrey released his hamster Wallace into the room. Before passing out, the man asked the two to protect his daughter. Jeffrey and Benito then opened the door to the small room and found the young girl unconscious and infected by the virus. Jeffrey became very nervous and worried, but Benito told him to let him handle it. In the meantime, Jeffrey moved away from the two and began to investigate the room, finding infected fetuses, chemical formulas, and many papers. Among them, they found a report stating that the paranormal virus could be controlled with cold temperatures as low as -3°C. After finding this information, Jeffrey looked for Wallace but realized that the little creature had merged with one of the inactive infected on the floor. He felt very sad, but the strange movement of the creatures put him on alert, and he called for Benito.

He found Benito putting the glove on the hand of the unconscious girl and saw when he gently kicked her to see if she was alive. After some time, the girl woke up and asked for her father. Benito was direct and told her that he was dead, leaving Jeffrey completely shocked by his insensitivity. The child then saw her father unconscious and went into shock but asked Benito to take care of him. Benito distracted the child and left her in the small room, saying he would check on her father, but in reality, he spent this time investigating the room further with Jeffrey. When the movement of the creatures began to increase, the two of them decided they needed to get out of there and forcibly took the child with them. She struggled and complained, crying for her father.

They returned and found the rest of the group, who had found the access key to the control room. After conveying Jeffrey's information about temperature control, the group accessed the system and tried to activate the facility's HVAC system. However, they needed to turn the key in the power room, so they went there together.

On the way, many creatures began to pursue the group, and Jeffrey ended up being grabbed and bitten by several of them. While Luis, Emi, Lucie, and Benito ran to try to activate the HVAC system, Diego and Jeffrey struggled to survive the deadly bites of the creatures. Jeffrey felt like he was going to die after being bitten multiple times and losing a lot of blood, but the rest of the group activated the cooling system, and the creatures stopped. Losing consciousness, Jeffrey began to reflect on how he should have just stayed home and never delivered that pizza, lamenting the hell he was going through. However, Diego managed to save Jeffrey from death by stopping his bleeding and helping him stand up.

The group noticed that the door to the room where Micael had locked himself was open, so they went to see what was inside. They found Micael alive in there, with one arm twisted and wearing a glove on the other. He began to explain the research at that place and thanked the group for their help. However, he continued to say that the true hell would begin outside, where that creature was already hunting.

Glimpses of Past: Once per session, the user can spend 1 Determination Point to recognize people, places and familiar things, found or experienced before losing memory. In doing so, the user receives useful information at the discretion of the Game Master.

Cursed Items[]

Inverted Ring: A ring found at Igneus Station, which has the shape of Nidere's inverted head around him. When Jeffrey put the ring on, it attached itself to his finger, cutting it off. Jeffrey felt connected and chosen by the creature, with an inverted howl being heard from afar by him. There's no info about what it does.

Trivia[]

In his promotional art, it is possible to see Jeffrey holding a "prizza" box, being a reference to the phonetics used by Foolish to say "pizza".
- The presence of a coffee mug on top of the box, together with his alien shirt, intentionally or not, makes an easter egg to Café's Pizzaria and Signals from the Other Side.
Jeffrey carried with him an extremely small pet hamster, which he named "Wallace".^[3]

For some reason, Jeffrey is trained in medicine. It is unknown if this has anything to do with his past at camp.
