Jasmin Cristal was an orphan that passed most of her life at St. Menefreda Orphanage, also being Dante's girlfriend, becoming pregnant and expecting a child of him.^[2] Jasmin was first mentioned in a letter of Ronaldo Crosti addressed to Arnaldo Fritz in the 4th episode of Deconjuration,^[3] also being mentioned in the 9th episode, on Leonardo Gomes' occultist file.^[4]

Biography[]

Jasmin was born in the 90s and grew up in the St. Menefreda Orphanage with many other children. In 2009, a fire responsible for taking the lives of several orphans occurred in the orphanage during an attempt of The Host to kill Kian,^[5] but Jasmin was one of the survivors and began to live on the streets with Dante and Leonardo Gomes,^[6] until later they moved to a studio apartment in São Paulo.^[7] At some moment, Jasmin came into contact with the Occultism and became a dealer of rituals and cursed objects.^[4] Jasmin and Dante felt in love for each other, and the woman even got pregnant with him.

At some point during her pregnancy, Jasmin was stabbed to the death by Kian,^[4] inside Leonardo Gomes' body, as a way to motivate Dante to become an occultist to bring his beloved back to life.^[8]^[9]

Trivia[]

In the 12th episode of Deconjuration Dante said while he was doing a ritual to transcend that he would rather bring Jasmin back to life than Beatrice Portinari, thus proving that the bond between the two characters was very strong.^[10]
In the 8th episode of Calamity, Dante brings through a ritual, a creature named The Puppet, which in the end he mentions wanting to keep the lock of hair, referring to the lock he kept from Jasmin and Beatrice Portinari. However, Rakin revealed in an episode of OrdemCast, a fanmade podcast, that The Puppet is not a representation of Dante's beloved one.^[11]
