Ivete Beicur, formerly the owner of a bar, moved to São Paulo with Arthur Cervero after losing everyone she loved in a supernatural attack.

Today, she uses her knowledge to manage and sell equipment to the members of the Order.

Ivete Beicur

Ivete Beicur is a secondary character present in The Secret in the Forest, Paranormal Order: Deconjuration, and Paranormal Order: Calamity. She was the owner of the Ape Hangers bar, a biker bar in the town of Carpazinha, in Rio Grande do Sul. After the tragic events that occurred, and with only Arthur Cervero left as family, she decides to join the Ordo Realitas group.

Appearance

The Secret in the Forest

Ivete is a middle-aged woman, around 50/60 years old, wearing a simple black t-shirt with a lilac coat on top, jeans and black shoes. She is often seen with a pipe in her mouth and various wrinkles and fine lines can be seen on her face. Ivete wore a bun in her gray hair.

Deconjuration and Calamity

In Deconjuration, Ivete appears wearing a black tank top with a V-neck and a slightly worn denim jacket on top, dark jeans and black shoes. She has a tattoo on her right arm, just like Arthur has on his neck, representing a symbol of the Scoundrel Vultures to honor the gang and their deceased members. She wears a simple bracelet on one arm and still has a smoking addiction.

Personality

During the second season, where she first appeared, Ivete is presented as a relatively crude and somewhat cold lady with strangers, nurturing a great deal of respect from those who often went to her bar. Ivete is kind and affectionate with closer people, such as Arthur, Brúlio and the other members of the Scoundrel Vultures. In the third season, even in the short time she entered the organization, she appears being an ally and friend of many agents of the Order. She, even being quiet in her corner, manages to win the friendship of the people around her with some ease, besides being an essential part of the Order, being respected on the spot.

Skills

• Knowledge of Weapons: Ivete has a knowledge about weapons, ammunition, explosives, etc., having developed this because of the environment where she lived and worked, which was surrounded by gangs. She put this knowledge into practice in the Order's base, taking care of the shop that gives the supplies that agents need for their missions. Besides being a skilled shooter, participating in the battle against The Lurker, giving a large amount of damage to the creature.
• Barwoman: For working in a bar for much of her life, she has an affinity for work, preparing and serving drinks, serving people, etc.

Biography

The Secret in the Forest

After the disappearance of Team Kelvin in Carpazinha, the team of the Order, formed by the protagonists, goes to the town to start an investigation. The group ends up arriving at a biker bar after some tips from the officer Victor Rott. The bar, known as Ape Hangers, is owned by Ivete, an elderly and relatively rude woman, who has worked among biker gangs forever. Her bar was a little away from the town of Carpazinha and served as a barracks for two distinct gangs, the Scoundrel Vultures and the Haunteds, who, ironically, were rival gangs, having to split schedules to avoid fighting. She had a much stronger bond with the Vultures, treating them as a family.

As the adventure progresses, Ivete gradually loses everything she has. In "Arachnophobia", Mr. Getúlio is killed by the Dumped Spider attack, and in "The House" and "Virgulino", both gangs are dizimated, and with that, in "Team H", the last episode, she ends up closing Ape Hangers. With no more goal, she decides to move with Arthur, the last thing left for her, to São Paulo and joins Ordo Realitas.

Deconjuration

Ivete starts to work at the Order's arsenal, selling the most diverse weapons and tools to the agents. To honor her former bar, the base was built beneath another bar, also named as "Ape Hangers". She also adopts a stray kitten, naming her Jennifer as a tribute to the cow that Arthur had become attached to when he went to Holy Cradle.

Ivete Beicur

During the Sect of the Masks invasion, Ivete is taken hostage by the occultists, having a sword held around her neck by one of the members. The next day, Ivete woke up in her apartment, along with Arthur and Kaiser.

D-Force, formed by members of Team H, Team Ember, a rookie and an occultist, went to the mission of investigating the Devilish Mansion. During the team’s stay in the house, Ivete calls Arthur, who updates her on the situation, deciding to go there. Bringing Jennifer and pizza to everyone, Ivete pulls out her shotgun and prepares to defeat The Lurker, the creature that’s been tormenting her for a while. After being updated on the plan to lure the monster, Ivete waits with the others behind the door of the double bedroom, waiting for a sign of Kaiser pretending to be asleep inside. After the hacker’s scream, the vultures invades the room, but begins to feel an unbearable pain in the eyes, and a grayish Ivete with yellow eyes appears and attacks her, along with an Arthur and a Kaiser with a similar appearance. Erin ends up defeating the devoured Ivete, and she, who was in the corridor, runs to help fight the devoured Kaiser and the Lurker. During the battle, Ivete is hit by a shot from the devoured Kaiserin the knee and then Arthur throws himself in front of Ivete to protect her from another shot, but neither ends up shot.

Calamity

Months after Kian's returnal as a Marked, Team Vultures, led by Arthur Cervero, finds evidence linking the findings of Arnaldo Fritz to the Famiglia Leone, and them they decide to travel to Italy to acquire documents stored in the Leone's Mansion. However, for the surprise of the Order, all the Leones were murdered by Kian and his followers. That made Mr. Verity travel to Rome due to the gravity of the situation, turning the mansion into a temporary base. He was accompanied by some other agents, such as Ivete, who leavedWalter taking care of the Order's arsenal.

Ivete was present at the invasion to the Leone's Mansion in "Time". She first fought the occultists in Egyptian costume, even killing one of them. After the fight, in the fight against the Sphinx Carrion, Ivete helped Fabrizio Leone carrying him away from the combat zone. However, when the creature observes that several people were together in a certain place, just where the vulture was, the monster jumps in her direction. Ivete was injured, and could not dodge the attack, but was saved by Rubens Naluti. Ivete would die without the agent’s immediate assistance. After the match, Ivete remains at Zio’s side while being treated, keeping him company.

After the fight against Kian at The Colosseum, the agents return to the Leone's Mansion and Ivete notices Verity returning with Kian in chains. After this, she stays in the infirmary until Carina, Rubens and Dante arrive there. She goes desperate to Arthur and hugs him happily for the first victory of the Order. She notices Arthur’s sad eyes, but he protects her by saying he was fine. Ivete ends up asking him if it was time to say goodbye to Kaiser once, since until now they had not found him. Arthur agrees and tells her that he is really gone. The agents begin to organize their things to return to Brazil. Balu begins to distribute ice cream to everyone and Ivete approaches him and orders an ice cream too before they go.

Upon arriving in Brazil, Ivete spends her days organizing the weapons and taking care of the tribute to Joui and Kaiser along with Verity. Ivete and Arthur were at the Ape Hangers along with Rubens and Balu when they start playing pool. Ivete takes advantage of the situation and says that whoever won would win a kiss from her, interested in Balu. Rubens loses on purpose and Ivete arrives at Balu and pulls him for a kiss.

In the tribute to the boys, Ivete says that they managed to put a genuine smile on Arthur’s face, something she did not see in him since his brother was gone. She says she would miss the video game discussions, the rush to eat bolinhos de chuva and their presence at home. They were real men who did everything to protect each other and who were the best children that someone like her could have. Finally, she says she would never forget them and everything they did for her, Arthur and the world.

Relationships

• Antônio Pontevedra: Balu was always very kind and warm with everyone around him and this attracted Ivete in a way. She begins to compliment him on his scarred appearance after the fight with the Host, trying to help him with his self-esteem. During the battle against the Sphinx Carrion, Ivete invites Balu to drink with her at her bar in case the two survive, and he accepts. From there, Ivete starts picking up Balu whenever she has the opportunity. After the victory in the war against Kian, Ivete and Balu kiss after he beats Rubens, who let Balu win on purpose in a game of pool.

• Arthur Cervero: Ivete, by knowing Brúlio since really young, saw Arthur growing up. In this way, she became attached to the young man and was always very close to his family. After Amanda’s death, Ivete became a maternal figure to Arthur, but not so directly. However, after the events of The Secret in the Forest, Ivete sees herself much more attached to Arthur and both begin to treat each other openly as mother and son. Currently, Ivete and Arthur share the same house and she cares very much about Arthur and his safety in the missions in which he goes.

• Brúlio Cervero: Little is known about how long Brúlio and Ivete knew each other, but Ivete is described as someone who had always been with Brúlio and who trusted him fully. Ivete respected Brúlio and was very friendly with him, being extremely shaken by losing him. It is known that Ivete saw Brúlio forming his family and was part of his gang for a long time. Brúlio showed concern for Ivete, always reinforcing that he needs to go see if she was well after the Haunteds' time at the bar, despite knowing that the woman knows very well to protect herself.

• Elizabeth Webber: Ivete, despite never being very close to Liz, respected and cared about her. Even if Liz walked away and disappeared after the events of The Secret in the Forest, Ivete worried about her whereabouts. She was very sad to hear of Liz’s death, and went to her funeral to pay her respects, saying that the young woman was with them at the times when they lost everything and nothing would be fairer than being there at her last farewell.

• Jennifer: Jennifer is a stray kitten that was rescued by Ivete, Arthur and Kaiser. Although she seems rather shy with people, she has a good relationship with her owner, often staying with her in the Order's base, showing that Ivete cares and takes care of the kitten.

• Joui Jouki: Although Joui is the furthest of the three, Ivete is clearly attached to the young man in the same way she is with Kaiser. She worries about Joui’s safety and welcomes him when the Asian makes visits to the house where they live. Joui, despite having a little shame to interact with Ivete, treats her with care, calling her "aunt" sometimes. Joui also cares about Ivete’s safety by knowing of his importance in the life of Arthur. Ivete confesses to Kaiser in the last episode of Deconjuration that if she could have sons, she would like them to be like him, Joui and Arthur.

• Kaiser: Ivete begins to care about Cesar after the death of his father and the sadness of the loss that the young man had to go through. It is Cesar who tries to embrace her also when she goes through the drastic loss of the Vultures. After the events of The Secret in the Forest, Ivete moves to São Paulo and starts to live with Arthur and Kaiser, developing the same maternal attachment for the young. Although they do not treat each other as mother and son explicitly, it is clear that they treat each other as family, since both carry the oath to protect those who love by the coat of arms of the Vultures. Ivete cares about Kaiser’s well-being, becoming concerned about his safety on the missions he goes on. Ivete confesses to Kaiser in the last episode of Deconjuration that if she could have sons, she would like them to be like him, Joui and Arthur.

• Dante: Initially Ivete does not trust Dante due to the man being an occultist and prisoner of the Order, but in the course of the events of Deconjuration Ivete changed her perception of him, realizing that he was a good person. Ivete even accepted him into her home, in addition to helping him when the occultist wanted to visit the orphanage to reflect. After a year has passed, Ivete created a great appreciation and affection for Dante, always showing to care a lot about his safety.
