Inquisidor do Vale

Inquisidor do Vale is a small fictional municipality in the north of the state of Paraná. It is located in the mountainous region of the Haddock Ecological Park, where is located the Goodwill Moon's Camp, place that stood out for the disappearance of several people in recent years. This town is a key piece and addresses the events of Gruesome Christmas.^[1]

Founded decades before the events of Gruesome Christmas, the town of Inquisidor do Vale already carried a peculiar atmosphere, the municipality gained notoriety due to a series of mysterious disappearances that occurred in the surroundings of the Goodwill Moon's Camp, situated on the edge of a road through the mountains of the region. The camp acquired a dark reputation after reports of missing youth. Among them, the disappearance of Regiane George in 1994, A 21-year-old student who was last seen during a Lunar Eclipse near the Diamond Lake.^[2]

This mysterious environment was marked by the passage of Alice Lucina, an enigmatic figure who would have resided and participated in occult practices that included rituals with blood sacrifices in times of full moon, becoming a person increasingly disturbed and hallucinated with the concepts of the Other Side.

On December 25, 2013, the town’s newspapers reported the arrest of Alice, a young woman who had confessed to being behind the murders of six campers that occurred earlier this year, by the rookie patroller Aguiar. However, after the legal procedures, Alice was escorted to the 4th Station of Inquisidor do Vale, but, according to reports, she suffered a sudden illness during the journey, not resisting and dying before reaching her destination.^[3]

At the end of 2022, on December 21, on Christmas Eve, a group of young people face problems with the bus in front of the camp. In search of help and shelter amid the intense night rain, they decide to explore the place, unaware that they were entering a horror scenario. Three days later, with no news of his brother who had gone to the camp and the unavailability of the police to assist in the search, Jorel Lagos calls some old school friends, and decide to spend Christmas together at the Goodwill Moon's Camp. However, he didn't explain to his friends his real intentions when organizing the meeting: to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his brother.
