The Imaginary Friend is a paranormal Death and Blood creature with compliment of Fear, having a strong connection with the paranormal Paint that comes from one of Tenebris' Bells. Its creation happened due to the fear that Barnabé Aleno spread around Tipora's island and its inhabitants.^[2] Due to its conection with the Tenebris' Bells, it has two main elements, which were not seen in any paranormal manifestation until its appearance.

The monster was portrayed several times in pictures secretly painted by Barnabé,^[3]^[4] but it was only manifested in the 7th episode of The Secret in the Island when a painting of the creature is revealed in the middle of the village's church.^[1] The monster died by the Electrocution Ritual used by Amelie Florence.^[5]

Appearance[]

This creature has a curved and huge appearance, having its spine twisted with several protuberances in the shape of a thorn on its back and reaching 6.5 feet tall. It is covered by a large hood that extends to the ground, merging with its body and having several violent tears at its tips. Beneath this hood, it's possible to see several black tentacles, and two huge dark, dry arms, as well as tentacles. The creature has no face, only having a hole from which the brown liquid incessantly flows, which is used as paint in the pictures of the island.

Behaviour[]

After being summoned, the Imaginary Friend slowly moves towards the people around it, using its tentacles to pull them towards it, and when it can reach them, it will hold them in its arms to melt their faces with the paint that came out of the hole in its face. The creature initially barely moves, being almost static, but when it begins to be attacked, it also uses its claws to attack those who come towards it.

After being badly damaged, however, the creature abandons its calm posture and begins to attack its enemies frantically, moving quickly towards them with aggression and extreme speed.^[6]

Abilities[]

Tentacles: With its various tentacles, the Imaginary Friend manages to grab several people simultaneously to pull them towards it, but they are not very resistant and can be easily destroyed. If the creature gets angry, it can also throw who it is holding away, with a huge force that severely injures those who are attacked.^[7]

Melt: When able to grab a victim and approach it to its face, the Imaginary Friend pours all its paint on the person’s face in front of it, killing it almost instantly, melting its face and anything else where the paint is poured.^[8]

Claws: With its huge claws, the creature quickly attacks those in its vicinity, dealing extreme damage.^[9]

Dissolve: The creature takes the body of someone and absorbs it for itself, melting it completely, recovering its life from the people who observed the scene of the person being dissolved.^[10]

Trivia[]

The Imaginary Friend would initially have no tentacles, but as the characters began to say and have a constant fear of tentacles, Cellbit asked to add them in the final design, as this fear changed people’s perception of the creature.^[11]^[12]
According to Cellbit, the Imaginary Friend is the first case where a paranormal creature is seen in the series being shaped by Fear during the events of the RPG.^[13]
The Imaginary Friend has 2 abilities that were never used in combat.
The Imaginary Fried is the only known creature, so far, that has Fear as one of its elements, but does not have an Enigma of Fear.^[14]
After what became known as "The Island Incident", the survivors spread stories about the event and, thus, thanks to their traumas and the Fear, the strength of the Imaginary Friend was extremely enhanced over time.
The Imaginary Friend has three songs: "When The Bell Rings", "The Creature Will Return" and "Everyone Will Die".
- The songs name are a reference to the iconic phrase repeated by Montel Florence after the death of Bartô Castello.
