Iara Suna

Iara Suna is a resident of Tipora Island, where she works as a carpenter. She is Maíra Suna's twin sister and mother of Ian Suna.

She first appeared in the 1st episode of The Secret in the Island taking her son, Ian Suna, to the school.^[1]

Appearance[]

Iara is a brown woman with dark hair and dark brown eyes. She wears a brown suspender skirt, a blue shirt and dark brown pants, plus a pair of black shoes. She has a lot of hand-work scars around her body.

Personality[]

Iara proves to be a highly protective mother of her child, Ian Suna. It is known that she always dreamed as well as her sister to be an artist, practising her sculpting skills.^[2]

Past[]

Iara was born in June 15, 1994, at Tipora Island. During her childhood, Iara showed interest in becoming an artist, making wood sculptures.

It is known that her husband, Vinicius Freitas, seeking to escape his responsibilities, abandoned her and their son, Ian Suna. So, your brother in law Vagner Freitas, felt the need to supply the absence of his brother and assist in the needs of the residents of the island.

The Secret in the Island[]

Day 1[]

Iara is seen in the morning leaving her home and taking her son, Ian Suna, for school. The rest of the day, there is no more information about her whereabouts.

Day 2[]

The next day, at the latest, Iara is seen at the Church Barbecue next to her son, playing with Bisteca and enjoying the presentation of Milo Castello, at last returning to her home.

Day 4[]

After Cavalcante Bueno's death, Iara was at the church along with all the other people on the island for the rally organized by Evandro to appease the situation, she is seen talking to Wanderley about the case and reporting the speculations. After the confusion between Bartô and Evandro, she runs away from the place.

Day 5[]

In the course of the day, during the invasion of the wild animals to the village, Iara remained with her son guarded in her house. In the late afternoon, she was present during the gathering at the police station where they witness the corpse of Bartô inside the prison cell and protects herself in her home.

Day 6[]

During the last day of the island of Tipora, after instructions from Barnabé Aleno, Iara and the rest of the residents stay in the church. After the appearance of the creature, she and her son manage to escape with the help of Wanderley and both protect themselves in the house of Návia Eiland, along with the others.

Day 7[]

At dawn, after experiencing the worst scene of their life, all residents depart to the beach and get on Adrian's boat, and with the help of the Order agents, Iara and her family leave the island.
