Helena Gama^[1]

Helena Gama is a resident from Tipora Island, where she works as a tailor. She first appeared in the 2nd episode of The Secret in the Island, speaking with Vagner Freitas and hiding from the protagonists.^[2] Later, she makes a cloth to Amelie that was just with her bikini.^[3]

Appearance[]

Helena is a young girl with fair skin, black hair stuck with two strands falling on her face and brown eyes. She usually wears a brown vest over a white dress shirt, beige pants, and a pair of brown boots.

Personality[]

Helena is very shy, having a hard time interacting with other people, especially people she doesn’t know. In some cases, she tries to distance herself from eye contact, as when trying to hide from Bárbara that was along with Amelie.

During the disagreements in the Church of Tipora Island occurred during the episode "Prosopagnosia", it's revealed by Barnabé that the reason for her social distancing was her sexuality, since Helena is lesbian and hides it because of the Christian trend present in the village.^[4]

Helena was born in February 21, 1997 in the Tipora Island, by the island’s former parter, Olga Eiland.

At an unknown time in her life, Helena became interested in tailoring, becoming the island’s tailor.

The Secret in the Island[]

Day 2[]

Helena was present during the Church Barbecue, hiding behind Vagner Freitas while watching from afar the new visitors to the island, she is called by Bárbara to go meet them but refuses, approaching them only to take the measures of Amelie, leaving embarrassed soon after.

Later, Helena finished making Amelie’s clothes and receives the young people in her home, Barbara delivers a plate of food to her while Amelie picks up the clothes, thanking Helena, who proves very anxious in the presence of everyone, apologizing several times for the mess of your home. Helena fixes Olivier's torn pants and says goodbye to them, eating the food delivered by Barbara.

Day 3[]

Helena only is seen together from the crowd that went to the beach where the body of Cavalcante was found, she sees the corpse with a hole in its face and goes into shock, screaming scared and returning home to be expelled by Evandro Eiland.

Day 4[]

Helena was present during the rally in the church organized by Evandro, she remains quiet throughout his speech, just running out of the place after seeing Bartô punching the officer.

Day 5[]

Helena enters the police station after the attack of the infected animals, she was wounded and also carrying the cat Bisteca in her lap, Helena takes shelter there until the night, when the cries of Montel are heard and Adrian along with Vagner break into the cell door, finding the dead body of Bartô with a hole on its face.

Day 6[]

Helena remains inside the church all day, on the advice of Barnabé to protect herself from the creature. After the Imaginary Friend leaves the painting and becomes real, Helena is saved by Wanderley, leaving the church and going to Návia's house to get protection.

Day 7[]

At dawn, Helena follows the other residents to the beach, climbing Adrian's boat and leaving the island.
