Heilag Vagga, located on the coast of Iceland, is a key location in The Secret in the Woods. A secluded island filled with a stranger Spiral Symbol, mentioned in the 19th episode of Deconjuration as a failed attempt at the Deconjuration Order. It was visited by Dr. Eva van Gloss, an occultist, with an expedition financed by occultists who sought to realize the millennial plan of Kian.
It's revealed in Calamity that in paranormal civilizations like Heilag Vagga the Relic of Death is manifested. These civilizations can be translated in different ways, such as The Sacred Start, The Divine Principle, The Eternal Beginning or The Holy Cradle.
Both Heilag Vagga and Carpazinha's Holy Cradle fit into that kind of civilization.

The Expedition[]
In November 20, 2018, following the Deconjuration, it is organized an archaeological expedition to the island of Heilag Vagga, led by Eva van Gloss, searching for occultist influence to weak the Veil. During the trip and the exploration of the site, a great find was made: ruins of an ancient civilization that worshipped a mysterious symbol, being found throughout the island, carved in large buildings and small tablets. This society seemed obsessed with this symbol and it was there that Dr. Eva fixed her archaeological site to be able to study more about the city.[1]
This society prospered and lasted for centuries, but unfortunately no documentation or text record was found throughout the island, only some military documentation indicating a patrol camp that was sent to the site. A year later, the volcano located on the island entered a sudden eruption, which caused the end to this ancient civilization.
The entire Heilag Vagga did not seem to fit with the geological formations of the region, as if something supernatural has changed it, with its social development being pointed out as extremely accelerated and not compatible with its dates, as if the time on the island differed from the rest of the world’s time. After Eva report on her incredible discovery, determined that she should proceed with independent studies to be extracted any useful information from the mysterious symbol.
Creation of the Project HC[]
After the discovery of the Spiral Symbol, Eva van Gloss began conducting experiments to try to find out any useful information about its functioning. Two types of experiments were performed, one by nailing the symbol into a body, directly exposing its influence; and the other indirectly exposing the symbol by nailing it in a controlled environment. The two experiments were performed simultaneously, starting on the day 12/22/2018 and monitored by 7 days.[2]
After performing exposure experiments, it was noticed that the symbol caused degradation and decomposition in an extremely accelerated way, absorbing the vital energy, which feeds the Holy. Environments that are indirectly exposed demonstrate a mutation extremely appropriate for life, indicating that the symbol somehow unobserved, converts vital energy into dimensional distortions to nearby areas, since there is a source of Potential Energy (PE) to be absorded. The Dr. Eva, along with a group of other scientists, passed to use individuals known as "Sources" as sources of PE to continue the project.[3]
