Gruesome Christmas - Part 2 is the second episode of the Christmas special Paranormal Order: Gruesome Christmas. It aired on December 26, 2024.

Synopsis[]

This is the reason for everything. When six young adults, with different destinies, end up taking the same bus, they have no idea what dangers await them when the path takes them to a mysterious camp.

Summary[]

It’s night. The only sounds are the heavy rain drops on the road. The driver of a bus follows slowly driving the vehicle, careful not to cause accidents. He turns and starts talking with Jorge, sitting in the first seat, asking about the region and about the rumors of the town of Inquisidor do Vale: a killer, named Night Mutilator, kidnapping several people. In the middle of the conversation, the driver doesn't notice a bump in the middle of the road, making the bus skid and wake up the rest of the five young: Ayla, going to spend Christmas with the family; Breno, traveling after the Víboras' victory in the national basketball championship; Lucio Olani, a youtuber going to an event in São Paulo, with his dog, Joto; Mike, travelling to São Paulo in search of a new job; and Melissa, going to her mother’s house.

Getting off the vehicle, he realizes that one of the tires has gone flat with the skid, and so he asks for help from Breno, Jorge and Lucio to help him out. Jorge throws the tire away from the road while Lucio records it for his vlog, and so the three before go back to the bus, socializing with the rest of the passengers. However, they notice that the driver, Dalmo, suddenly disappeared after they entered the bus again. Breno notices a pole lighting up a plaque and an entrance in the middle of the bush. An entrance to the Goodwill Moon's Camp. They get off the bus and start walking towards the entrance, talking to each other. However, Breno notices the trunk open and the tire that Dalmo would change thrown to the side. Jorge goes towards the trunk and notices it empty. And soon after, Breno realizes that the same tire was also flat, besides a row of nails on the road and a mysterious X drawn scratched form on the ground. From this X mark, he sees mud footprints following the dirt road leading to the camp.

Looking around, they notice a poster glued to a pole, talking about disappearances in the region. Lucio tries to make Joto smell something in the area, and so the dog mabages to feel something of the X mark taking to the camp. The six follow the dog, wet by the great rain and illuminated by the huge full moon. Time passes from their walk and then, they arrive at a large metal gate half open. They open the gate and divide into groups: Ayla, Breno, Jorge and Melissa follow towards a lighted cabin and some picnic tables; Lucio and Mike, next to Joto, follow a dark path.

The group of the illuminated path follows towards the cabin, called the Eclipse cabin. Jorge knocks on the door, waiting for some answer, but nothing, not even trying to open it, because it is closed. He tries to kick it, without success. The group tries to find other ways to try to get into this house. Meanwhile, on the dark path, Lucio and Mike talk about their career goals while the youtuber records his vlog. And then, they arrive in a cabin, a little more destroyed. Mike notices some growls, while Joto hides in Lucio’s coat. They see two dogs passing in front, Mike being pulled by Lucio, who approaches the ferocious dogs. The two dogs perceive the presence of the two young and advance towards them enraged. Mike tosses his cap to try to distract them, and pulls Lucio to run in shot. They meet the other group at the same time, asking for help. However, seeing the two dogs in a rush running over them, the group runs to another cabin, this being a larger mansion: the Juno House. Melissa advances towards the door, pushing her quickly and allowing the passage of all, locking the big house and getting healthy and safe.

After the moment of tension, the six realize where they are: a well-beautiful, preserved and with Christmas decorations house. Ayla, Jorge and Melissa go to a phone in the house and call the police, informing about their situation. The emergency service requests a car for the six, and so the group begins to wait for the arrival of the police. Meanwhile, Mike and Lucio start to climb the stairs to the second floor, and Breno accompanies the other three to the living room. The group in the living room notices the Christmas decorations and gifts under a great tree. They also notice a large portrait of a young woman in a white dress, with an X carved in the next wall. Jorge approaches one of the gifts and opens one of them...

And meanwhile, on the second floor, Lucio and Mike enter a corridor full of paintings on the wall, with an air of tension and strangeness. One of the pictures becomes familiar to Mike, who had seen a recent horror movie, but feeling afraid, the two decide to go down again to join the rest of the group, not before Lucio changes his soaked clothes. In the gift that Jorge opens, he finds nothing. Breno kicks one of the gifts, perceiving something inside. He takes the gift and slowly opens it, revealing another gift box.

Suddenly, someone knocks hard on the door of the house, next to a police siren. Melissa leaves the room and goes towards the door, opening it and revealing a police officer with a badge on a necklace. He introduces himself as Deputy Aguiar, and explains that the house where they are is safe, despite being the home of a criminal he had dealt with a while ago. He also says that several young people pass by the place to make video challenges, but to ensure the safety of the young people, he will do a patrol and then take them away in his car.

After the conversation with the deputy, Jorge finds some towels and distributes them to the rest of the group, while they talk about what the deputy had told them and what Mike saw about one of the paintings he recognized. But suddenly a huge bang happens and the lights of the house turn completely off. The young people despair and try to decide who will go to the direction of the bang to see what happened. Lucio, Jorge and Breno follow there, passing through a kind of kitchen, followed by Mike and the rest of the group. They notice an X marked on the stove, and when they open the refrigerator, they find some leftovers left in half and, strangely, a PowerBank, belonging to Ayla, that was inside her suitcase.

While Jorge and Mike split the leftovers, with Mike starting to vomit after eating a spoiled lasagna, the group talks about also feeling a burning smell, possibly from a fuse, as well as finding dog food to give to Joto. Melissa opens the back door, but because of the rain, the group doesn't leave. However, Breno notices a figure passing through the bushes, being sure that he saw a red X marked. Ayla and he come a little closer to see better, seeing a figure with a red hood and a red X in the face, in the middle of the trees, looking at them. Before they pull the handle to close the door, it closes itself and a sound of locking is heard. He also sees a message embedded in the part that was out: someone calling the group to play. The figure hides, they look out for it. The X marks the key's spot. The air is heavy. They feel a terrible omen and the malicious intentions of the figure that hides. They do not have much time. And if they take too long, patience may run out.

Despair takes hold of the group, which begins to separate in search of the Xs they saw inside the house. But they know: they haven't searched the whole house. Footsteps and whispers are heard inside the house. Jorge runs towards a closet, opening it and revealing various crockery. Breno runs into the living room, searching all the gifts and finding nothing but coal in some. Lucio hides Joto inside the stove and runs towards one of the rooms on the second floor, discovering the guest room. Melissa tries to search the fireplace, dropping the portrait of the young woman on the floor in search of that X she had seen before, but finds nothing. Ayla finds a flyer, and unfolding it, she finds a map in the verses, but nothing of the key. Jorge and Lucio get together and start to search the other rooms of the second floor, finding the main room with several religious paintings scattered on the wall. They find a newspaper, The Inquisitor, talking about the arrest of Alice Lucina, the Menhuntress, responsible for the death of six campers in January 2013.

Breno goes to the other room, searching the shelves and chests of drawers, and constantly looking back, afraid that someone will come from behind. He opens a closet, coming across only books. Mike, who was a long time vomiting, goes to the bathroom, looking for some medicine for nausea, finding only medicines expired more than 10 years ago. Melissa pulls Ayla to look for the key with her and Breno. The whispers begin to get more intense. Time is running out. Ayla enters a library and goes towards a closet with a garland. But as she approaches and stretches her hand to open, she feels a chill. Her blood becomes cold. She feels that it might not be a good idea to look there, but before she thinks about it, a shadow jumps over her. A hooded shadow, with a huge X on their face, holding a bloody blade. Bloodied by the blood of the blow to Ayla. Moving like a dancer after finishing their majestic dance, the figure reveals, through their mask, a face with makeup, lips in a strong red tone, sketching a snarky smile, raising one of the fingers and asking for silence to the young woman.

After hearing Ayla's scream, Breno takes anything in his reach and goes to the room, seeing the scene of the figure with Ayla and throws towards them. The figure feels the impact and slowly turns the look to the athlete. Jorge and Lucio start down the stairs, while Mike tries to open a closet door. The youtuber pulls Mike and goes back to the second floor, next to Jorge, to a room that they had not opened, revealing itself as a games room. Ayla tries to move away from the figure, which walks slowly behind her. Breno pushes the girl back, protecting her from the figure, while Jorge searches in the middle of the tree of the game room, without success. Mike looks inside the pockets of the pool table, finding inside one of them, a set of 10 keys. He warns Jorge and Lucio, the latter being more concerned with recording, but Mike drops the camera of the youtuber, worrying more about their own lives. Melissa pulls Ayla, who takes something to stop her bleeding, while the two run away. Breno tries to run, but slides in the blood of Ayla, taking a stab from the figure, in the back.

After taking the key set, Mike, seeing the terrible situation, forces Jorge and Lucio to jump from the mezzanine with him. Mike and Jorge manage to jump safely, but Lucio falls back on the ground, feeling a snap in one of his ribs. Ayla and Melissa meet the three in front of the main door, with Breno behind them, bleeding. Mike fails with three of the 10 keys, and Lucio goes to the kitchen to see how is Joto, followed by the rest of the group to try to open the kitchen door. Breno, pursued by the figure, takes an impulse and runs in sprints, arriving in the group. Jorge arrives at the kitchen door and tries three more keys, failing again. Lucio opens the stove to see if Joto is there, finding nothing. Melissa and Ayla, hand in hand, run towards the door, while Breno arrives at Jorge, asking for the set of keys and getting it instantly. The basketball player tries his first key, but fails; the second and third do not enter as well. Mike takes the fridge and throws it on the ground, and Lucio, trying to jump from the obstacle, trips it. Melissa and Ayla continue running, now with the figure in the tail of both.

After another key, Breno finally manages to open the kitchen door, fleeing from the big house. Jorge then leaves, while Melissa and Ayla separate; the first jumps across the dining table, going to the other side. Ayla tries to follow her friend, but the figure takes the young woman by the head and hits her nose on the table. Her vision is blurred, while blood covers her gaze. Everything is red. However, her fall to the ground is dampened by the arm of the figure, which approaches her face, showing their smile. There is something very wrong, and it is then that she realizes: the arm of the figure moves; Ayla’s arm also. Moving. Cutting. A knife, balanced standing, using gravity, tearing everything inside what was once something. The figure finishes their service, leaving Ayla’s dead body, while the rest of the group watches them once again asking for silence with a sadistic smile.

The group, then, leaves the house, meeting in front of the place, but with mixed feelings: the sadness of Melissa and the heated discussion of the boys after seeing the horrible scene. Without thinking twice, the five survivors follow in a dark direction from the camp, finding another cabin. They see, behind it, a kind of generator, with a manual how to turn on. In the indecision of what to do with the device, they hear once again the request for silence, as if the figure was lurking them in the shadows. The group then divides: Lucio and Mike stay in the generator, while Melissa, Jorge and Breno follow in the other direction, finding a kind of mini-camp. Melissa searches one of the tents, finding a plastic bone; Jorge vandalizes a tomb, indicated as the tomb of Alice Lucina, finding a decaying female body with a mask covering her face; Breno finds a valve, necessary to activate the generators.

Turning back to Lucio and Mike, the two continue talking and try to activate the generator. However, Mike takes a shock while activating it. And in the shadows, peering at both, the figure appears behind Mike, striking him. The group meets again, and with the help of the valve found in the mini-camp, they turn on the generator of the cabin. Going up the stairs, they try to break down its door, but eventually, they think about using some of the keys from before, managing to open it. As they enter, the figure once again lurks in the shadows, striking Lucio from behind. Once again, they ask for silence, as if she mocks the group. They are just a joke to him.

The group enters the cabin, finding an anti-inflammatory, and Melissa goes straight to the phone calling the emergency service to send more cars. However, unhappy that only the deputy Aguiar is available, she curses the person on the other side and hangs up in the face. The group waits for a while inside the cabin, until they hear the police siren. Through the window, they see the car parked next to them. Breno and Jorge leave the cabin and walk towards the car. And meanwhile, the sound of silence... but not outside.

The figure comes out of a closet, behind who was inside. Melissa opens the door quickly and runs in a rush. Mike, lying in bed, tries to get up and run, but takes a crawl and is thrown into the air by the figure, which positions the knife so that when he falls, Mike has his belly torn in the middle. Lucio, even shocked by the scene, continues in a dash fleeing from the cabin, after Melissa. Breno and Jorge arrive in the car, meeting with the deputy, who tells them to get into the truck, while aiming towards the cabin. Lucio and Melissa run, with the figure behind them, cleaning the blood of the knife and wanting more. They continue in the rhythm, but Melissa runs more and arrives in the car before. And back, the figure jumps, grabbing Lucio, wrapping their legs in his body. She quickly passes the knife through the youTuber’s neck, who feels his muscles retract, trying to stop the bleeding. At the same time, the figure moves, but Lucio tries to get out of it, making the hood of the figure stand up for a moment, revealing the face of someone young, with Korean features on their face. He should not have done that. Because of this, the figure stabs him multiple times to finish her service.

The figure approaches the deputy, who screams toward, appearing afraid. Only appearing. The deputy is friendly to the figure. Calling them as Jae and mocking about the number of deaths, he pulls a mask. The mask of the Night Mutilator.

And the fate of the three survivors is an unknown until the third part.
