Gambá

Gambá was Artemis Deordelin's pet, one of Marked from Kian recruited by Gal, making his first and only appearance during the 2nd episode of Calamity, always accompanying his guardian wherever she went, even after her death.^[1]

Appearance[]

Gambá was a Saruê, a marsupial with approximately 1'2" feet in length on its body and 1'1" feet on his tail. His fur was black and white, his eyes were surrounded by dark fur and a black stripe on top of its head.

Past[]

A few years before Calamity, the Gambá would meet Artemis at a boarding house she stayed at. The bond between the little saruê and the girl was created after a suicide attempt by Artemis. She, who tried to hang herself with a rope hanging from the ceiling, was saved by the possum, which gnawed the rope. Thus, Artemis became attached to the animal, which became her pet.

Calamity[]

Gambá was present with Artemis during the Invasion of Leone's Mansion, where he ended up being killed by one of the members of his guardian's newly formed team. Theodore Bagwell, grabbed the animal from his owner's pocket and completely devoured it while it was alive, due to his hunger and indifference towards the Gambá's life, with only one of its paws remaining.^[2] Artemis started to carry it with her after the event, and it was later turned into a necklace. After the death of his guardian by an agent of Ordo Realitas, T-Bag started to wear the necklace around his neck, paying some tribute to his teammate.^[3]

Trivia[]

Gambá was the second pet in the RPG of a Triz Pariz character, the other being Orpheu, a great urutau that served as a companion to Beatrice Portinari, while guarding her memories.
