Injustice, right? Nice to meet you, I am the injustice.
Gal[2]
Gal is one of the protagonists of the series Paranormal Order, present in Deconjuration and Calamity.
Gal was first introduced as an antagonist in Deconjuration, being the leader of the Escribes, also known as the Cult of Knowledge. He grew up at St. Menefreda Orphanage, where he was enticed by Leonardo Gomes to start a cult capable of bringing back the first Occultist in history, Kian.[3]
His goal of bringing Kian back completed, Gal continues to follow him to perform the Calamity, being one of the Markeds on Kian's side. However, after Kian betrays him and leaves him to die by the hands of Clarissa, the Escribe starts to harbor a deep hatred for his former idol, screaming nonstop that he would kill him. [4]
After Team Vultures chooses to save Gal, The Host teleports him to an unknown location. It is known that Gal is alive, however his whereabouts are unknown.
Appearance[]
Adolescence[]

In his adolescence, Gal had long black hair and two locks on the sides of his face. His physical appearance was that of a thin young man, his skin was white and his eyes were brown. In the photo taken with the other orphans from the St. Menefreda Orphanage, Gal wore a black choker, dark pants ripped at the knees, black high boots, and a long-sleeved shirt from his favorite band, the Metallic Dragons. [5]
Deconjuration[]

In his Appearances in Deconjuration, Gal was a man with pale skin and long dark hair that reached his chest, with the same cut he wore in his adolescence. He wore a black blindfold with gold trim and a pendant attached to it, a leather choker around his neck and a large black poncho with gold decorations and another pendant attached to it. He also wore suspenders under his poncho.[6] Like others Escribes, he walked barefoot and had numerous texts tattooed on his body.
In his first appearance at the Orphanage he had several chains around his waist, which chained Enpap-X, Sukkalgir and Kian. However, in his appearance in Final Day of Deconjuration, he only chained Kian.[7]
Calamity[]

In Calamity, Gal has a looser blindfold and no pendants, he wears a kind of wide black jacket sewn in patchwork, black pants and sneakers. There are several chains coming out from inside his robes that wrap around his limbs and attach to his two blades,[8] the Ereshkigal. His hair is still long, however, it is fuller and messier and his mouth remains characteristically black as before.[9]
During the invasion of the mansion of the Famiglia Leone, right after killing Marco Leone, they find Joui Jouki, who seems to no longer be under the control of Sect of the Masks, kills and seriously injures several Escribes, including Gal, who with a surprise attack has his left arm severed, in addition to one of his stolen Ereshkigal blades.[10]

Due to Rana, Gal manages to escape while she is conjuring a portal to the St. Menefreda Orphanage. Gal covers his lost left arm with a piece of his amended clothing, also stopping to touch up his lipstick and nails, in addition to the fact that the loss of both his friend and his member affects his way of acting, now he no longer remains with a smile on his face, but a serious and focused face.
During the 8th episode of Calamity, after being betrayed by Kian and left to be killed by Clarissa Leão, he is tortured both physically and psychologically. His blindfold is removed, his leg is shot, and one of her eyes is gouged out and mutilated around her entire body.[11]
Personality[]
Deconjuration[]
In Deconjuration, Gal plays a psychopath in terms of the Deconjuration Order and the goals that must be met to carry it out. He is shown to be a ruthless killer and describes himself as injustice itself.[12] When Kian resurfaces, Gal is extremely obedient and submissive to him, in addition to eventually breaking out of his character imposed by the Deconjuration Order and becoming more receptive to the other Markeds, trying to convince them to come to their side.
Calamity[]
Gal shows himself to be a very focused and direct person when on a mission, being described as someone who wants to accomplish his objective in a linear and objective way without a lot of unnecessary ado. Additionally, Gal demonstrates emotional attachment to some of her companions such as Dagan, his protégé.[13] Despite of being the most influential Marked among Kian's Markeds, Gal doesn't treat them as a team, just as allies doing a common job. Therefore, Gal would clearly step over them to complete his mission if they got in his way in any way.
Biography[]
Past[]
Gal grew up in St. Menefreda Orphanage, together with Dante, Bruno, Leonardo Gomes, Beatrice Portinari and other orphans. It is known that he was a rebellious teenager[14] which contradicted the mentors of the institution and used to run away in the company of Henri,[15] suffering physical punishment for such behaviors. It is not known for sure when he became involved with the occult, but it is known that in 2009, during the fire at the orphanage caused by a "game" created by Host in order to kill Kian,[16] where several orphans died in the flames, Gal, together with Henri and Nubi, tortured and killed Nina, one of the orphaned children, in a disturbing manner.[17]
Deconjuration[]
During the events at the orphanage, Gal appears just as the agents of the Order were about to escape, accompanied by several Escribes, the former children of the orphanage, he brought chained to he Enpap-X, Sukkalgir and Kian.[18] Gal then stands in front of the team and refuses to give more information, saying that it is not his role to do so at the moment. He explains that everyone has a role and that they would soon understand that, and expresses happiness that the group finally got there, revealing that he had waited a long time for this; however, he says that he expected them to be stronger and that they were still too weak for the Deconjuration.[19]
He says that "there are still a few pieces left" and ridicules Dante, saying that he had all the time and motivation in the world to become stronger and that he might even have been able to protect Jasmin if he wasn't so weak. When he brings up that name, Dante - called by his original name "Gaspar" by the Escribe - unsuccessfully threatens him, as the Gal just calls him weak once more and says that's why he's not ready yet. He looks for Beatrice, calling her by her real name "Lilian" and provoking her to talk to him, to no avail as she doesn't answer him and pretends to ignore him.[20] Gal continues to mock her, arguing that despite being weak and knowing nothing, she thought she could speak. The leader of the Escribes ends by warning Beatrice that "to know everything is to lose everything".[21]
Gal keeps talking about none of them having fulfilled their role yet, even though the path had already been traced.[22] The agents try to approach him and Kian, but before they could do anything they are paralyzed by a Ritual of Paralysis performed by Rana, one of the Escribes that accompanied him. Gal then goes on to talk about the path not yet being completed, but also says that someone there had already performed his role and that he would "make room to be filled by a new part". He goes towards Elizabeth Webber, ignores the agents' threats and turns Liz to face Joui Jouki.[23] Getting very close to the ear of the agent who had just played, Gal makes fun of them for thinking that nothing could go wrong.
Gal then performs a Mind Control Ritual on Joui,[24] causing him to kneel- up and hand him her katana in a forced bow. The leader of the Escribes looks around, takes the sword and says he thought it best that everyone pay attention to what was about to happen. He goes on to mock the naivety of the agents for thinking they would never meet a power far above them, and that they would probably call it all "unfair". He looks at Joui and Liz, and finishes his speech:
Injustice, right? Nice to meet you, I am the injustice.
Gal
Gal turns and plunges his sword into the middle of Elizabeth's chest,[2] killing her slowly. He keeps pressing the katana, pushing and crossing her body more and more, ignoring Joui's threats and screams, saying that this was Kian's will and that's why it was being carried out. Finally, he orders the Escribes to take the agents to the cells in the orphanage.
Gal is mentioned by The Magistrate in the 17th episode of Deconjuration, who say he became a "Marked", as well as agents, the day he found them at the orphanage.[25]
Deconjuration's Final Day[]
The agents of the Order, after going through a series of challenges in the sewers of the Devilish Mansion, head to the St. Menefreda Orphanage. There, Gal was waiting for them next to the body of "Kian", who is revealed to be Fernando Carvalho (as Semblante Desgraçado), and with the boy Tim chained to him.[26] In the center of the courtyard a large dead tree stood out, and in it could be seen the bodies of Elizabeth, Beatrice, Orpheu and Tristan, former members of D-Force, hanged from what Gal called his "Christmas tree".
Gal then tells the story of Kushim, an ancient Sumerian boy victim of the Escribes and of Gal-Sal. After seeing his parents tortured and torn apart, Kushim was taken as Gal-Sal's slave, surrounded by the aberrations his parents had become. Serving as a source of Fear, Kushim was forced to watch his parents commit massacres for the rest of his life.[27] After being exposed to so much brutality, Kushim he ended up becoming a bridge between reality and the Other Side, being the first to reach 100% paranormal exposure and fully understanding the Other Side, thus creating the first ritual in history: the ritual of Transcend.[28] Kushim, who abhorred the Other Side and its creations, found himself cursed as the only one to know the secret to destroying all that beyond our reality. But to be able to use this knowledge he would need a Mark, because only the Markeds can use so much power.[29] Gal also tells that the Sumerians believed that everything would have been created after the junction and separation of the gods An and Ki;[30] this was the belief that led Kushim to adopt his new name: Kian.[31] Kian, now having knowledge of all of the Other Side, used this to drive Gal-Sal mad and usurp the position of leader of the Escribes, continuing the group's massacres and strictly following the idea he had created: the Deconjuration Order, a series of events that should happen leading Kian to become a Marked.[32]
After telling the whole story, Gal provokes the agents, calling them to one last fight and is matched, starting what would be a "dance" for the occultist.[33] In the middle of the fight, Gal prepares to deal a mortal blow to Arthur and is surprised by a man with white hair and beard, Mr. Verity, who he had arrived at the orphanage in time to block the blow with his sword.[34] Gal throws him away using his Ereshkigal and is surrounded by the three agents of Team Spies who arrived at the scene accompanied by Aaron. While killing Samantha, Gal forced Clarissa to execute Alexia, her last teammate by using the Mind Control Ritual on her.[35] After this scene, the occultist teleports behind Erin and sticks his two blades Ereshkigal on the agent's back.[36] As she dies, suspended in the air by her blades, Erin explodes a grenade as the last act and is consumed by fire while Gal is thrown by the explosion, being seriously injured. But he doesn't give up, and everyone is surprised to see that on the floor, drawn with their blood, there was a Transcend Symbol that Gal drew when throwing the agents during the battle.[37] Luciano Carvalho feels called by the symbol, he had finally reached 50% paranormal exposure, thus completing the last step so that Kian could access his memories and, using the body of a Marked, also gain his own Mark.[38] The first occultist in history awakens in the agent's body, which now had a glowing aura, patterned lines, and Knowledge Sigils on the body and face.[39] He then approaches the remaining agents and rants about his hatred of the paranormal and that he knows the secret to defeating the Other Side. Kian extends an invitation to all to join him in carrying out the Calamity, Gal is the only one to accept the alliance.[40]
After the Sect of the Masks saved the agents who were in the orphanage with the help of Kaiser, who sacrificed himself so that everyone would be safe,[41] Both Kian and Gal prepare to go in search of the Relics of Calamity and recruit other Markeds to aid them in the inevitable war against the Order.
Calamity[]
Gal is seen breaking into Leone's Mansion on September 8, 2021 along with Artemis, Boris, Damir and T-Bag, Markeds that Kian recruited to help him carry out Calamity, they were accompanied by other Escribes. Gal and his new team destroy everything in their path and murder practically the entire mob family while looking for information on how to get underground and open the Leone vault. After facing several members of the family, Gal and his team access the Leone vault, but not before facing the head of the family: Marco Leone. After executing the Mafia Leader, Kian appears and they all glimpse the documents left by Arnaldo Fritz inside the safe. However, something starts to happen and someone starts an attack against the Scripts on the top floor of the mansion, who after being asked by Kian about how many there are, say it is just one person, the Devil himself, after hearing this Kian, Gal and the Scripts are restless. And upon reaching the main hall of the mansion, a masked man is seen: Joui Jouki.[42] He is furious and he had already murdered several Scripts that were there, after seeing the agent standing in front of him, Kian is confused and, in the blink of an eye, he is removed from the place through a Ritual performed by an unknown man. After Joui demonstrates monstrous power, Rana begins to prepare a Portal Ritual to teleport the Scribes through a portal, back to St. Menefreda Orphanage. An intense battle ensues, in which Joui wreaks havoc, including on Gal. The youth attacks Gal and severs his left arm, leaving the occultist dying on the ground. With the help of other Escribes, eventually everyone manages to escape, except Rana, who sacrifices herself and ends up staying behind holding the Teleport Ritual until everyone is safe. Joui Jouki brutally executes her, which results in the end of the Ritual and the portal closes without Gal being able to know that she has died.
After the encounter with the masked man in the Leone mansion, Gal shows hesitation when encouraging the Escribes about Kian, because in Gal's view, he had abandoned him to die at the hands of Joui, and one day after the events in the mansion, the Escribes became find in the Domus Aurea at Kian's request, to look for a secret passage in the place, having knowledge of the place's involvement with the Ordo Calamitas. After finding and heading into the secret passageway, Gal and her team split from Kian to head towards an area that once held the Relic of Blood in the past. After fighting some Blood Zombies that were in the prisons of the ruins, they find a room with a statue of a headless Minotaur in the center and a locked door. After exploring the deepest place, the team finds, in a giant room, a colossal creature, the Cyclops. The Escribes seeing that it would be a waste of time to try to kill that monster, decide to go unnoticed by the huge creature and, moving forward they cross a large dark maze and after Boris Lukic pull a lever, the maze lights turn on and from inside from one of the walls of the place a creature starts to come out, it has big horns and resembles a bull, without hesitating the monster advances in the direction of the Escribes, the fight against the Minotaur begins.
The occultists then search for the objects shown in a wall painting they observed earlier, where there are several people fighting the Minotaur, and after Gal finds a red cloth in a chest, he approaches the Minotaur and sticks the cloth on the wall along with his Ereshkigal blade, the cloth attracts the Minotaur and makes him get his horns stuck in the wall, Gal takes advantage of the fact that the monster is vulnerable and finishes him off by cutting off his head using Ereshkigal.
Right after fitting the Minotaur's head on the statue they had found earlier, the door that was closed in the room opens, revealing a new location, full of maces, shields, spears, swords, knives, armor, as if it were an ancient arsenal and, in the midst of this pile of things, Gal finds a key that opens a door that the team finds shortly afterwards, revealing a new location. After the team opens the door and enters the place, they are faced with a huge hall of stones stained with blood and huge windows with broken red panes, carved pillars with creatures of blood on top can be seen following the walls, and in the center of the hall has numerous wooden benches that lead to a large stone staircase, leading to an altar, as if it were a church, on the floor there is a huge rug in the shape of Blood Symbol and what not stands out, at the top of the stairs is a huge throne, with a pool of blood below it, and behind that big throne there is a door on the other side of this room, and before Gal and the Scribes could understand what was happening the door starts to open. open and, coming out of it were 4 people that Gal recognizes instantly, they were the members of his favorite band, the Metallic Dragons, even though Gal hesitated at first he found himself without choices and the battle began. After an intense fight where Artemis is killed and the Dragons are decimated, Gal takes a necklace and chain from the band members and shortly after Kian and other Scripts arrive in the room, Gal gives the items he took along with the red cloth to Dagan. Still at the church, Kian asks all the Escribes to leave the place so he can have a private conversation with Gal. In this conversation he reveals that Gal's sister is alive in Tenebris, after that Kian raises his hand that begins to emanate a white flame and play a kind of impossible music, the way that this flame distorts the reality around from her it's like Gal is witnessing a piece of God, but before he can process what's happening, Kian pierces his stomach with the Blade of Fear, right after that Kian turns his back to the Escribe and, while looking at Gal with a look of contempt, he affirms to the other person who was arriving that he "had fulfilled his part of the agreement" and approaching beside Kian, Gal sees another look, a look of hatred, the look of Clarissa.[4]
In a vision provided by The Host to Team Vultures, they witness the moment when Kian betrays Gal and leaves him for dead at the hands of Clarissa who passes by his side. She gets to Gal, shoots him in the leg and starts torturing him. Dagan runs back to the church after hearing the screams of his idol and seeing this scene, goes towards Gal to save him, but before he could do anything, Clarissa machine guns him with her uzi making him fall into the ground dying, she then approaches and kills Dagan in front of Gal, who could do nothing to save his protégé. After that Clarissa throws Gal towards the pews of the Church, removes his blindfold and takes out one of his eyes with a knife, continuing the torture, Clarissa mutilates Gal's body and face violently, while he screams incessantly that he will kill both Kian and Clarissa. After Team Vultures witness this scene, The Host creates a button, if the team wanted to save it, they would have to press that button. Arthur, even without the approval of Joui and Carina, decides to save Gal and presses the button, after which the Escribe disappears in pink flames in the in front of Clarissa who had a knife on her neck about to kill him.[43]
Rituals and Abilities[]
Rituals[]
Deconjuration[]

Mind Control Ritual: The ritual allows the caster to take control of the mind of a target of their choice, being able to control the target's body completely for a limited time - being able to stop whenever they want, while the target obeys commands. Even though he has no control over his actions, the victim is still able to speak (with difficulty). It was used by Gal in former agent Joui Jouki at the end of 6th episode of Deconjuration[24] and later in Dante and agent Clarissa Leão during the battle of 20th episode of Deconjuration.[35]

Change Destiny Ritual: The ritual allows the caster to obtain the result of his next 5 attempts (rolls) for a specific action (skill). In addition, the ritual allows the caster to be able to modify the order of their successes, organizing them according to their priorities. Gal used this ritual during the battle against the agents in St. Menefreda Orphanage, in her sword attack skill.[44]

Teleport Ritual: Allows the caster to move from one location to another in seconds, disappearing in golden sparks in the process. Gal used this ritual to teleport behind Arthur and attack him without giving him a chance to react, during the battle against the agents in St. Menefreda Orphanage.[45] Gal also used this ritual to teleport behind Agent Erin Parker and assassinate her as a surprise attack.[36]

Death Sucking Ritual: Gal didn't get to use that ritual, but he knows how to conjure it. The ritual permanently strips 2 points of your target's Constitution.
Calamity[]

Deadly Speed Ritual: Allows the user to acquire superhuman speed, gaining an extra action, which can be used as an extra attack or move.[46]

Curse Weapon with Knowledge Ritual: Allows the user to curse their weapon or other nearby weapon with the element of Knowledge, increasing equipment damage. Seen, for example, when Gal cursed his Ereshkigal during the Escribes invasion of Leone's Mansion.[47]

Relationships[]
- Artemis Deordelin: Although they weren't friends, both were allies and tried to work together to complete Kian's missions, such as the time she used the disguise ritual on Gal to help him infiltrate the Leone mansion.
- Boris Lukic: Despite not being friends, both are allies and try to work together to complete Kian's missions.
- Dagan: Gal treated his protégé like an excited young man. He always tried to encourage the youngest, offering him gifts and words of support. Dagan greatly respected Gal and treated him like a kind of master.[13] While being brutally tortured by Clarissa,[11] Dagan rushes towards him to try to save him. him, even though Gal screamed at him not to, knowing what would happen to the young man.[60] Desperately, Gal pleads so that Clarissa would not kill Dagan, which is not heard by the woman. The boy's death leaves Gal devastated, in addition to swearing that he will kill both: Kian and Clarissa.
- Damir Lukic: Despite not being friends and often treating each other with hostility, both are allies and try to work together to complete Kian's missions.
- Henri: Henri was one of the children of the orphanage who grew up with Gal, and the two have been close friends since childhood.[15] The two have been caught running away together several times, being severely punished the first time, making Henri more problematic and taking a taste for violence and punishment. After the orphanage fire in 2009, where Gal and Henri claimed their first victim by torturing and murdering Nina, one of the orphaned children,[17] both joined the Escribes, as did a few others. residents who survived the tragedy.
- Gal's Sister: His sister's name is not known yet, but Kian cites that she is alive in Tenebris. Apparently she has something to do with the "promise" Kian made with Gal.[4]
- Joui Jouki: Gal in Deconjuration treats Joui like an insect, someone unable to surpass him in matters of power. Gal provoked a huge hatred within Joui, murdering his mother figure in front of him, which turned the young man into an avenger. Gal in Calamity perceives Joui as an enemy much more powerful than himself, which makes him resort to methods of convincing to bring the enemy to Kian's side. In addition, Gal demonstrates an extraordinary fear of Joui when witnessing a demonstration of his strength. Their relationship was one of mutual hatred, and both would kill each other if given the chance.
- Kian: Gal from the beginning had a relationship with Kian as a master and his apostle. Gal blindly believes that Kian is capable of achieving everything he promises, and respects and treats him as such. However, after being betrayed by Kian and left for dead, Gal apparently developed a deep hatred for him, promising and repeating over and over again that he would kill him.
- Theodore Bagwell: Gal understands T-Bag's ways and treats him like someone innocent. Despite not being friends, both are allies and try to work together to complete Kian's missions.
