- For the owner of the mechanical store, see Gabriel (mechanic).
Gabriel Opspor was a secondary character present in The Paranormal Order. He was one of the students at the Nostradamus School who became involved in the paranormal incidents at the school. After being targeted by a ritual, he ended up switching bodies with Agatha Volkomenn, who killed him in self-defense after being ambushed in the school's bunker.
Following his death, Agatha's original body transformed into a bizarre creature, which was only destroyed after a group of Ordo Realitas agents managed to uncover the mystery behind the body swap.
Appearance[]
Gabriel was a young boy with 5.57 feet tall, having dark eyes and white skin. In the photos found by the agents in The Paranormal Order, he had dark, short hair, combed to the side. He usually wore a blue sweatshirt when out of school.
Personality[]
Gabriel appeared to be an extroverted, agitated and curious person, always trying to get involved in situations where he thought there might be a mystery. He did it creatively, acting like a detective, but actually, deep down, he was someone serious and reclusive.
Although Gabriel was introduced as an outgoing child with many friends and a high income family, Gabriel had developed a huge thirst for revenge, believing strongly that Agatha Volkomenn was responsible for the disappearance of his girlfriend, Lina Kunsti. This thirst, however, was dissociated and mixed with a false sense of justice and protection, believing that capturing Agatha and making her confess her "crime" would be the right thing to do not only for her to pay for what in theory would have done to Lina, but to protect and prevent more deaths from happening at school.
According to his school record, Gabriel was described as an intelligent and very conversational student. These two things go well with his actions, since he was able to devise a complex plan to corner Agatha, he also appeared to be good at talking and persuading others, as he was able to convince his two friends, Mathew Geleerd and Gustavo, to be part of his obsessive project. In the file, he also exclaims an excessive number of absences from classes, possibly because of the preparation of his plan and the investigation in relation to his girlfriend.
Biography[]
Gabriel Opspor was born on March 21, 2004, son of Giovanni and Victoria Opspor. As a student of the Nostradamus School, he used to make several personal investigations, keeping in his room a large picture on the wall, which contained connections of wires and photos scratched with "X".[1] His friends Mathew and Gustavo were always with him, talking often. Gabriel was not very interested in classes, but whenever asked about something during school, he knew how to respond quickly, which intrigued the teachers.
Gabriel was investigating the mysterious disappearance of three girls from his school: Fernanda Pinto, Julia Correia e Evelyn Orlando. He was gathering several clues about the students, realizing that they all got summer classes in subjects that were good, which made him begin to suspect their teachers.[1]
After his girlfriend, Lina Kunsti, mysteriously vanished, Gabriel greatly intensified his efforts in the investigation, as he was sure there was a connection between all these students disappearing suddenly.[2] His research led him to two points: one being the teacher Alexsander Kothe, who taught the same subject that Lina took the classes (even though she was very good at it) and was dismissed shortly after her disappearance, and the other being Agatha Volkomenn, who apparently knew a very suspicious passage in the library.[3]
Fire Night[]
One night, Gabriel called his friends Mathew and Gustavo to quickly go to his school, asking Mathew to bring a camera, saying that he had found the culprit of what was happening and that they should record the confession.[4] They arrive at the school during the night and, after confronting Agatha, the one he was convinced was behind the disappearances, he ended up being the victim of a ritual, exchanging his mind and body with those of Agatha. Not knowing what was happening, Gabriel was murdered by the young woman in his old body.[5] After some time exposed to the paranormal, Agatha’s body that contained Gabriel’s mind became a creature known as Degolified.[6]
After witnessing the murder and Agatha’s body becoming a monster in front of them, Gabriel's friends and Agatha were extremely frightened and tried to flee the scene, but Gustavo was killed by the creature.
As Agatha’s mind was in her body, from that event every time the boy appeared it was actually Agatha posing as him.
The Paranormal Order/Initiation[]
After the Order agents, along with Alexsander Kothe entered the biggest room at the Bunker, they come across a creature resembling the Degolified, but being much larger and with several bodies of several students attached to it. The creature still wore the same clothes that Agatha wore the day she switched bodies with Gabriel. In the room behind the creature there was an open book on the page of the Passage Ritual, which was used by them to reverse the ritual and defeat the monster. To reverse the ritual, they had to say the name of the person who was in the body after the ritual was performed, and burn the remains of the body that was killed (in this case the original body of Agatha).[7] After the agents spoke Gabriel’s name while burning the body, the fire turned blue and the creature was dissipated.[8]
