Flávio Brotto[1]

Flávio Brotto, better known as Flavinho Tire, is a tire repairman who works at a gas station, located in the middle of Varminho's road. Together with his father, Vilmo Brotto, they run a convenience store and the tire shop next door.

Flavinho appears in the 4th episode of Signals from the Other Side, being visited by Chico and Lírio in his tire shop. The two asked Flávio to repair the van, who did the work with the help of Chico.[2]

Appearance[]

Flávio is a tall man with fair skin, blond hair, green eyes, and a thin mustache and beard. He wears a white t-shirt under a blue jumpsuit with the logo of the Brotto's Gas Station and red sneakers. He wears a black glove on his right hand and a blue cap with the logo of the gas station.

Personality[]

Flávio, when he met Lírio and Chico, presents being a friendly person and treats situations with great promptness by demands arising from the store and his rubbery shop "Flavinho Tire's Rubbery" that he owns with his father, Vilmo Brotto.

At an unknown moment in his life, after the death of Vilma Brotto, his mother, Flávio and his father are responsible for managing the former post of his deceased wife and carrying his legacy forward.

Signals from the Other Side[]

During the arrival of the team The Five in his establishment, Flávio was working on the maintenance of a vehicle, and there, he interacts in the presence of the duo Chico and Lírio, on his rubber shop.[2]

After minutes of conversation, he convinces Chico, because of his desire to learn more about the mechanics of his van, of the need for repair and improvement of his car. During the vehicle reviews, Flávio takes the opportunity to teach and explain to Chico the functions, characteristics, features and curiosities of his knowledge in the area of his performance.[3]

Trivia[]

  • His nickname "Flavinho Tire" comes from Flavinho do Pneu, a brazilian meme where a teacher complains about the nicknames used by his students in the online classroom system, using as an example the self-titled students "Shaolin Matador-de-porco" (Shaolin Pig-Killer) and "Flavinho do Pneu".[4]
