Emério Cunha's note[1]
Emério Cunha was one of the employees who worked at the Moretti's Mansion, working as a Butler, exercising functions in past events of The Secret in the Island. He was mentioned in notes, letters and documents scattered around the mansion.
Emério had his first appearance was through a photo, found inside the Mansion during the investigations of the new residents during the 3rd episode of The Secret in the Island.

In a photograph taken of Emério along with Leila Lima, He appeared to be a young man with short wavy hair, messy and thrown to the side, wearing a livery with a tie.
Biography[]
Little is known about his past, but through documents found in the mansion, it is known that he was born in Salvador, Bahia, and at the age of 28, in 1962 he was hired as one of the employees in the Moretti's Mansion performing functions of Butler. A part of his story is also discovered through the documents scattered around the Mansion.
First Note[]

This division of shifts is horrible, my Leilinha, I wish I could spend more time on your side.

First note of Emério Cunha found, located in one of the rooms of the mansion. In the note, Emério exposes how it is difficult to live far from Leila Lima, in a way that the division of shifts ends up harming them from being together.[2]
Second Note[]

I’m a little bit scared, my angel. Mr. Constantino has changed a lot. He looks kind of weird, had an outbreak and fought with me.
But I don’t think it’s bad, poor guy. He even apologized afterwards and left for his room.
He’s just sad and sick. Still pale. Imagine if it was with us. It hurts me to think about my life without you Leilinha.Emério Cunha
Second note of Emério Cunha found, located in one of the rooms of the mansion. In the note, Emério comments on the change of behavior of Constantino Moretti, and how he was looking paler and sicker, showing fear of what might happen to him and his love.[3]
Third Note[]

I went to peek in the lock Mr. Constantino painting again and I swear I heard something behind me, when I turned I swear to God I saw Mrs. Noralma passing through the hall, in a wedding dress. I did, for sure, and I’ve never felt a shiver so deep in my spine. Is she haunting us?
Constantino must have seen it, too, so he’s been painting her. I think he knows something.
He knows he’s sick. I think it’s getting isolated to not pass to us. Poor Constantino, had everything he wanted in life and now is in such a pinch...

Third note of Emério Cunha found, located in one of the rooms of the mansion after removal of the badge. On the note, Emério details that one day he went to spy on Mr. Constantino and noticed that he was painting again and saw the shape of Mrs. Noralma dressed as a bride and felt a shiver in his spine. At which time, Constantino was locked in his room, sick, and repeatedly painting pictures depicting the image of this spectre.[4]

You think the boy... what’s his name again?
Could we ask him to marry us? Since he became a priest now... I do not know very well how these things work, but we love each other fur so long and we are already a family inside this mansion I wanted to say that I'm married to you, Leilinha.Emério Cunha
Fourth note of Emério Cunha found, located in one of the rooms of the mansion. On the note, Emério talks about his claims to marry Leila Lima, with the help of the boy who became the new priest of the island, demonstrating his intense love for her.[5]

See, I’m more and more worried about the boss. He’s locked himself back in his room and I think he’s gonna be there for a few days like the last time, poor thing.
I peeked through the lock to see if everything was okay because he hadn’t responded in a while, and I saw some weird stuff. It had a lot of paintings of a woman in a wedding dress, which were equal to Noralma when they married.

Fifth note of Emério Cunha found, located in one of the rooms of the mansion. On the note, Emério tells how he was worried about his boss, Constantino Moretti. Situation in which he remained locked in his room for days, without answering anyone. As he peeked through the lock, he noticed that Constantino was crying, and that in that room there were several similar pictures depicting the image of his wife, Noralma, dressed as bride the same day they were married.[6]
