Donisvaldo "Don" Magal Benza is a young man who lives with his parents in the Zucchini Farm, located in the interior of Minas Gerais. He was mentioned during the 1st episode of Signals from the Other Side,[3] but makes his full appearance in the second episode.
After the appearance of the Outsider during the 4th episode of Signals from the Other Side, Don lost some memories after waking up, specifically related to The Five and his dad.
Appearance[]
Donisvaldo is a 15-years old young man, having the same features and similar physiognomy of his brother, Luan. However, his hair is painted black with visible brown roots and with his bangs he covers one of his eyes, as well as wearing makeup on his face and a t-shirt with a hood.
Personality[]
Donisvaldo is a reclusive boy staying in his room constantly. When Alexandre and Guizo go to his room, Donisvaldo is suspicious, only opening the door after a while. Because he has characteristics of a young introvert, Donisvaldo does not look directly into people’s eyes, but shows himself to be quite familiar with issues not very normal, staying firm and somewhat communicative when it comes to Morato. His bedroom has several posters of famous rock bands. Donisvaldo seems to hate his own name, preferring to be called "Don".

Donisvaldo was born in July 15, 1982, son of Adágio Magal Benza and Alberta Magal Benza, living with them and his twin brother Luan Magal Benza at the Zucchini Farm, in Varminho.
Signals from the Other Side[]
In 1997, at 15, Donisvaldo is mentioned as a boy who constantly stays in his room with the radio, not going out for any occasions.[3] But there’s a brief moment when he opens his door to his dog, Kiko, after the same keep scratching the door.[4]
In the course of the confrontation between The Five and the Interfloral on his father's body, Donisvaldo accompanies on the porch of the house. During dinner that same day, he remains in his room on the left a door with no-entry signs on the second floor. During a conversation with Xande and Guizo, in his room, it was discovered that Donisvaldo hates his own name and prefers to be called Don. Even shaken by the death of his father, Don still stood firm and revealed to the duo that he knows Morato, has information that the group does not know and shows a tape of Morato. It is a movie entitled "Late Encounter of the Fifth Kind", and advancing the movie to the time 1:33:15, Morato appears rearranging the camera and talking about the people across the lake.
When Morato’s appearance ends, Don hands out three files, a man and two women, these are possibly the people who are on the other side of the lake. Don asks them to investigate these people, to complete their files and bring them back to him. Thus, Don will reveal how he met Morato and some other information. After this, he expels Xande and Guizo from his room, saying he couldn’t even have opened it for them.
During the night, Don helps the Five deal with "Adágio" who had returned strangely to the house. Don is worried and asks the group not to turn off the television. He takes Chico, Xande and Dara to his room, reveals some information about what was happening and hands Morato’s ID card. After this, Don helps the Five deal with Adágio’s copy, distracting him so the group can investigate. Time passes, Don helps Guizo find some movie tapes, one of them being his favorite tape.
After hearing screams coming from the tree house, Don is worried about the group and hands Xande a walkie-talkie. A time passes, after the Five deal with the threat of the Memoflygian, Don communicates with Xande, asking them to return to the farm. Upon arriving there, the group comes across the Magal Family crying in the body of Adágio’s copy. Don proved strong and tried to console his mother and brother, explaining in a way that they were not too shocked by the surreal event that happened. After the shock of losing his father take care of the boy he reveals he does not like or understand his father, besides being shaken by the fact that he never see him again. Don is congratulated by the Five, who praise him, saying that much of the things only occurred thanks to the boy, because he is the "Agent Don" now and should remain strong to protect his family and himself. With all this, Don rejoices and returns to his room to rest. Soon, during the appearance of the men in suits around the Magal family house, Don worried about standing next to his mother and brother until the end.
At dawn, like everyone in the Magal Family, Don appears to have no more memories. Specifically for the boy, related to the Five, as well as no memory related to his own father, Adágio. Upon realizing what was happening, the boy becomes restless and confused with everything that happened and remains in his room listening to music.
Relationships[]
- Alexandre: Don at first seemed a little hostile to Alexandre, mainly for his floundering and likely way out of reality, but respected him for being from Morato’s team. After a while, Don began to cherish great admiration for him, especially for the same comforting him by the death of his father, and appearing to be very experienced and strong.
- Guizo: Like Alexandre, Don felt a little withdrawn in Guizo’s presence, finding the same kinda stupid for always making jokes. However, he begins to nurture and rely heavily on the same, was already sure he would come along with the five to help him when the Doppelgänger of his Father appeared and tried to force him to watch the TV broadcast. Don seeks comfort in Guizo after the death of his father, and worries about the same, being afraid of his father’s clone hurting him, and risking to lure him so that he can escape from the creature.
- Family: At first, Don seemed very hostile to his family, saying they were too stupid to realize that something was wrong. However, it was possible to realize that he still cared very much about them, since he wept for the death of his father, regretting not having spent more time with him and not having understood why he was the way he was. When the rest of the family discovered Adágio’s death, Don tried his best to comfort them about what happened, trying to explain the situation, and promising that he would protect them at all costs.
