Diego Granteros was the General Director of the "TV Varminho" Project. In August 1990, he was responsible for architecting and managing research into the transmission signals emitted by the mysterious object.^[2]

Aiming to understand the properties of the object and the results through constant exposure to the signals transmitted by it, Diego attributed the beginning of the development of equipment for the direct neural connection project to the unknown artifact. During the experiment carried out, Diego was the first to connect, "ascending" and transforming the signal next to him, originating the Outsider , aiming for a greater purpose.^[3]

In the mid-1990s, Diego Granteros, with the aim of containing and camouflaging the signals emitted by the object, as well as military operations in relation to the object, founded a local TV and radio station, called "TV Varminho".^[2] At the location, through research, the object's ability to teleport to different locations in a chaotic manner was confirmed, as well as, in constant exposure of the signals to the guinea pigs, the following results were detected:

On a certain day, at 2 am, during the first direct connection with the object, Diego was the first to connect, "ascending" and transforming the signal next to him, originating Outsider.^[6] After Diego became the broadcast , the other members of the project also connected to the transmission, the environment changed and so did its modus operandi, hiding the place and all its existing practices in the region, coveting something beyond their understanding.^[3]

Aiming to achieve its objectives, Outsider began to incubate paranormal larvae in people to reproduce and create new Aliens, in addition to existing Doppelgangers, most of whom were the members of the TV Varminho Project themselves.

Signals from the Other Side[]

Later, in 1997, during the investigation by The Five team in the Varminho city, interference in transmissions was found to be a major influence of TV Varminho signals in causing several mysterious disappearances that occur in the region.

When visiting the station tower, it is revealed through a vision of William Bonantos to Chico that the Outsider, a conscious and extremely intelligent creature, was responsible for the disappearances that occurred in the region, in search of the person chosen to carry out the Passage to the impossible place, Tenebris.^[7]
