Synopsis[]
Back at the base of the Order after a tough confrontation, the team recovers from their injuries and discovers an unorthodox way to face their enemies. Between repressed traumas and forgotten memories, the Order agents see a strange coincidence uniting them to an abandoned orphanage.
Summary[]
The team convinces Jeremias, the rescued homeless man in the New Dawn Building, to board the team van towards the Ordo Realitas Base. On the road, Joui questions Jeremias if he didn’t see in the building anyone matching Liz's description, but he says he can’t remember.
Alreay there, Beatrice and Joui run with Erin in their arms, to be attended by Marcela. She, helped by her husband, Renan, takes Erin to a stretcher and start her treatment, asking her to rest for a week. As everyone was hungry, Fernando gives Kaiser a little money and Joui also delivers what he found in the pocket of syndic Sidney. Soon after, the hacker goes out to buy what is necessary for everyone to have a snack. Jeremias becomes extremely confused about what the Order is and the role of its agents. Fernando tries to comfort him by saying that he will be welcomed there, but that he has the freedom to leave if he wants to.
While talking to Joui, Arthur receives a call from a woman on Kaiser's phone, explaining that he suffered a panic attack at the store. Rushing to rescue his friend, Arthur gives Joui the medallion he found in the syndic's apartment and asks him to give it to Agatha.
Worried about Jeremias' injuries, Beatrice tries to help him, but ends up only worsening the situation and Renan is called to intervene. Meanwhile, as soon as he enters Agatha's room, Joui meets a very badly injured Mr. Verity, apparently helping the occultist in a ritual. When the leader of the Order leaves, Joui, without ever putting aside his disdain for the girl, hands her the medallion given by Arthur. She cheers up, and explains to the Japanese that now has the veil at the right point to be able to make the agents "transcend". Joui refuses to go along with it and leaves.
At the store nearby, Arthur arrives to help Kaiser of his crisis, as apparently had occurred other times. Before entering the place, however, he has a similar view as he had had on the door of the apartment in which Liz was, like an eye facing him through a crack. Arthur ignores the sensation and goes to Kaiser, managing to calm him by showing him his collection of polaroids. When he feels better, the hacker heads out, but has the same one-eyed view of him as his friend had.
In the base's medical wing, Fernando asks Marcela to take care of his shoulder, shot during the mission. She explains that his injury is very serious, and as well as Erin, he can't leave to the next mission. Joui takes advantage and also asks that they take care of your shoulder, and to put on Kaiser's account the treatment costs, because he took all his money.
After Kaiser and Arthur arrive with the snacks, Beatrice and Fernando prepare a table to everyone. Already woke up, Erin is liberated by Marcela and goes to meet the team. While everyone talks, Jeremias approaches and asks for Joui. He says he was thinking and now remembers someone matching Liz's description. According to the homeless man, about a week ago, she and someone namedGuto were taken in trucks from the building to another location by men full of tattoos to whom the group of Sidney seemed to fear.
During the snack, Fernando tries to explain how he ended up on Luciano's body, but he's interrupted by Kaiser. On that, he joins Arthur to Agatha's lab, to give her one of the books found with the occultists. The girl gets excited seeing the brown leather cover book, with a large symbol, and explains to them the concept of "transcending".
Convinced that the ritual will make him stronger against the occultist forces, Arthur volunteers to use the powers of the medallion he found. Agatha leads him to the center of a large occult symbol drawn on the floor.[1]
Surrounded in the powers of ritual, Arthur remembers the moment The God of Death locked Liz in the time vortex, and imagine what he could have done to prevent his tragic fate. In this trance, the vulture learns that he needs to shed blood on a symbol to hurt an enemy with an unknown magic. When he opens his eyes, Arthur does not remember much, but assures Fernando that everything is fine. Agatha taunts Fernando to participate in the ritual, but in the midst of a discussion, he denies it.
Having Sidney's phone, Kaiser and Joui try to unlock the device to find more information about the occultists, but not even the 'Angel of the Night' can't do it. Soon, Joui finds a bloody print in the book of the syndic, and takes it to Renan, in the forensic lab, which prints a replica finger to access the device.
Back to table, Arthur confesses that he agreed to participate in Agatha's ritual, to the disapproval of his friends. Amid the skepticism of the group, Erin, still under the illusion of being immortal, proposes to participate, but Fernando stops her. However, Beatrice ignores the appeals of others and also goes to meet the teenager.
There, Beatrice asks if the ritual can help her remember her past, and reveals that she does not remember 11 years of her life. According to her, all she remembers are flashes of a symbol, and after waking up wearing only a locket and with Orpheu by her side. Uncertain, Agatha says that the ritual is done only to help her in the fight against occultists and that as well as someone she knew, she suffered a ritual of oblivion. When reading about the Flesh Out Ritual described in the book, Agatha reveals to have been its creator and, in an unusual serious tone, prefers not to talk more about the reason. Nevertheless, Beatrice chooses the book found by Joui as an entity for her ritual and then enters a trance similar to that of Arthur.[2]
During the ritual, Beatrice remembers everything, though, not for long. She is reminded of how much she hates injustice in the world, like the one suffered by Jeremias, and what she would be able to do to prevent it from continuing. The florist learns that to execute the Flesh Out Ritual, she should shed blood on the same symbol on the pages of the book. Then, as she prepares to return to the earthly world, Beatrice has a flash: a young blonde boy with blue eyes, next to her mother, during the ritual that erased her memory. She recognizes him as someone she met while still living in an orphanage before being adopted, and that she knows he was not Dante. When she opens her eyes, all she remembers is the procedure for performing the ritual and the face of the man she saw in the trance.
With everyone back around the table, Joui explains that he was able to access the cell phone from Sidney. The only thing he finds, however, is a message saying: “THE NEXT DELIVERY SHOULD BE CONTINUED AT ST. MENEF. ORPH.”. Surprised, Beatrice recognizes the acronym of the institution where she grew up, the St. Menefreda Orphanage. On the phone, Kaiser finds only another message: “when you deliver something to the orphanage, GPS must be turned off”.
Next to the corridor, Arthur hear a dripping sound that has bothered him during the night and sees again an eye watching him through the crack of Mr. Verity's office. EHe opens the door, frightened, and only finds the leader of the Order covered in injuries imposed by Agatha's rituals. Arthur tells him about the sight of the eye that pursues him, and Verity questions if anyone else in his group has been feeling such a presence.
Prepared for their next mission, Joui, Kaiser, Arthur and Beatrice go to Ivete to pick their guns. There, Arthur tells Joui and Kaiser about his experiences with the mysterious eye. Kaiser confirms that he also went through the same in the store and Joui speculates that it may be a creature trying to help, after all, nothing has happened to them yet. Suddenly, Arthur sees several eyes under the table, and they disappear the same way they appeared.
While waiting, Erin mounts a grenade and gifts Kaiser, which generates certain jealousy in Joui. In the medical ward, Beatrice talks with Jeremias, who seems determined to go his way as soon as he recovers. Then she wakes Tristan and explains to her mentor everything that happened while he was unconscious.
Decided to go to the orphanage, Kaiser searches for the location address, but finds nothing, even with his hacking skills. Intensifying his search, however, he finds, in government archives ten years ago, an order signed by Mr. Verity to erase all the informations about the orphanage. Going more deep, he finds bank slips signed by Mr. Verity, however, the account denominates him as "Fritz".
The trio heads to Mr. Verity's office, who finds himself surprised. He then takes a picture from a drawer showing a priest, a nun and several children in front of the orphanage. In the background of the photo there is a man with a gold watch in his pocket, beard and glasses that they recognize as Arnaldo Fritz, father of his late teammate, Thiago Fritz. They also recognize Beatrice as one of the childs in the middle of the photo and Kaiser gets shocked by also seeing Bruno, his best childhood friend.
To the group, Kaiser explains that Bruno was his only friend at school times, but he disappeared years ago and only reappeared in 2019, with several tattoos around the body. The two had a fight and completely lost contact. Beatrice says she recognizes many of these children, despite having her memory erased. But it is Erin who recognizes the most problematic figure in the photo. She explains, that holding Beatrice’s hand, in the photo is Dante, one of the occultists arrested in the tragic mission in which Fernando lost his body.
Beatrice insists on finding her childhood friend, to which Erin reveals that he is detained right there on the base. With authorization from Mr. Verity, Beatrice goes to the cells sector, joined by Arthur and Joui. The prison security system for occultists is dark, lit only by a candle, so that they cannot concentrate on any symbol. Walking through the dark corridors, the three stop in front of a cell. Inside it, they see a pale, skinny blonde man with a tattoo on his forehead, Dante.[3]
