Blood is the second episode of Paranormal Order: Deconjuration. It aired on November 7, 2020.
Synopsis[]
Going down to the parking of a suspicious building, the Ordo team faces occultists, Blood Zombies and their own conflicts while looking for explanations.
Summary[]
Investigating an occultist apartment, the team watches a Beastly Blood Zombie running towards Beatrice. However, before it could get her, Tristan takes her out of the way and prepare a molotov to hit the monster.[2] He is knocked down, and has part of his chest torn apart by the creature, while both are consumed by the flames of the molotov. Joui stops Beatrice’s fall, and makes signs for the others to stay away from the incident. Fighting to save the fellow, the others keep shooting the monster, until Erin blasts the head of the beastly zombie with her shotgun.[3]
As the dust settles, the group reunites to try to save Tristan’s life. Kaiser finds burn ointment in his bag and manages to contain the hemorrhage from his fellow officer. In a desperate tone, Beatrice hurries everyone to take the mentor back to the Order's base. Arthur and Kaiser decide to continue investigating the apartment while Beatrice and Fernando, back to Luciano's body, takes Tristan to the van. In the hall of the building, Joui hears noises coming from the parking lot and alerts Erin about the trucks he had seen arriving at the place the previous morning.
Arthur and Kaiser scout the syndic's apartment and find a medallion with an occultist symbol. They prepare to meet the rest of the group when they are surprised by someone coming up from the fourth floor. They hear this person scaring himself with the bodies of the occultists in the hallway and run downstairs to intercept him before reaching the ground floor. There, Arthur, Kaiser, Joui and Erin point their weapons at the elevator and wait for the man to leave. They intercept George, wearing a yellow cloak stained with blood equal to the ones used by the occultists that attacked the group minutes before. The alleged occultist pleads not guilty and accepts being tied up by Kaiser, who even stops an attempt by Arthur to shoot him in the hand to get answers. Joui also intervenes and emphasizes how he does not believe in this type of method, which generates a tension among the veterans of Team H. The gymnast questions George in a more friendly tone, but the occultist finally shows his colors and begins to call for his cronies. In this, Kaiser chokes him out and Joui, while seemingly defending a lesser use of force, executes him with the sword.[4]
When Kaiser checks the occultist's pockets, he finds his pistol and three bullets with strange symbols embedded. The hacker comments that he needs to take it to Agatha, which catches the attention of Joui, who does not see it with good eyes. Kaiser tries to defend her, claiming that Mr. Verity trusts her, that this would not be the first mistake of the leader of the Ordo Realitas. In that, Arthur gets angry, saying it’s Joui himself he’s having trouble trusting, given how long he’s been missing. As he defends himself, Kaiser remembers his look when Tristan was attacked, which for him was a sign to leave the Order's agent behind - something that Joui says was never his intention, which just wanted to save Beatrice from the fire.
Elsewhere, on the Order's base, Beatrice and Fernando arrive with Tristan injured in the infirmary. Marcela takes care of him, and the duo decides to return to the building. On the way, the newcomer questions Fernando about his sudden transformation, and he explains that, in reality, that is the body of his husband, Luciano Carvalho, and that he was put there to save his own life.
Soon, the van arrives in front of the New Dawn Building, and the group sees itself complete again. The agents descend into the parking lot, from where they hear sounds ranging from loud noises, music, conversations and grunts. Cautious, Kaiser, Arthur, Erin and Fernando stay behind while Joui and Beatrice shoot down an occultist silently. Then Joui plans to trick the enemies ahead by impersonating one of them. He puts on the yellow cloak of the dead man, and takes Erin and Arthur as if they were prisoners. Eventually, the occultists distrust Joui, who signals Erin to throw one of her grenades at the enemies. A shooting starts, but the agents manage to take over the group of hooded and the Blood Zombies on the site. One escapes, and joins the rest of his colleagues entrenched behind scrap yards, but they are also killed by the Order’s agents.
At the end of the parking lot, the six find themselves at a fork. Once again, they split between those who use quieter weapons - Beatrice and Joui, now with Kaiser - and the rest, who are left behind when they see a group of occultists performing a ritual. The first group sees a homeless man being tortured by an occultist and Beatrice approaches him, with a penknife removed from the wing of Orpheu, but she doesn't neutralize the man. The potoo attacks him, but he only falls when Kaiser shoots him in the head. The trio approachs the man in rags being held prisoner, who thanks Beatrice and hides in one of the cars, waiting for the agents to finish the mission.
In the next hall, Arthur, Erin and Luciano faces the syndic Sidney, performing an occultist ritual with a large book in hand. Erin starts the confrontation by blowing up one of his cronies, but Sidney manages to escape the blast radius and stares Arthur in the eye. The vulture feels as if his skin is bubbling. It is then Erin’s turn to feel the effects of paranormal magic when, in a fit of insanity, she believes herself to be invincible. This leads her to carelessly approach another henchman and execute him with her shotgun. However, as she walks to Sidney, she feels her skin being torn apart, slowly coming out of her body as if it were being ripped off.[5] Even delusional, she faints, almost dying. Out of control, the occultist runs towards Arthur and bites him in the neck, before being killed by a shot from Luciano.
With the battle over, everyone rushes to Erin’s aid. Joui finds in the syndic's wallet a picture of him with a family, looking like another man, and also money, a cell phone and the black book from which the occultist seemed to cast his rituals. He then helps Arthur make bandages and stabilize the teammate. Fernando returns to his husband’s body, and is reassured by Beatrice. In another corner, Joui comforts Kaiser that was having a panic attack.
As soon as the others leave carrying Erin, Joui and Kaiser stay to kill the remaining zombies, trapped inside cars. Dispelling the tension between the two, Joui makes it clear to Kaiser that he and Arthur are his best friends and asks for a cigarette to try. While the japanese coughs, Cesar vents, saying he thought that assuming a new name could feel more distant and not suffer as much as before. Joui counters, saying his ties to his colleagues are what make him strong.
In the exit, the group meets Jeremias, the homeless man. Confused, he asks who his saviors are, and Arthur suggests him to go with them to the Order's base while everyone heads out of the building.

- With the absence of Gabi Cattuzzo in this episode, Luba became, at the time of the episode’s release, the only player to be present in all sessions of the series Paranormal Order. He played Daniel Hartmann in The Paranormal Order and Joui Jouki in The Secret in the Forest and Paranormal Order: Deconjuration.
