GM[1]
Melody is the sixteenth episode of Paranormal Order: Deconjuration. It aired on April 24, 2021.
Synopsis[]
Well-rested and recovered, the agents returns the mission in the Devilish Mansion. However, a strange unfinished melody seems to echo in the team’s path.
Summary[]
Still in their apartment, Kaiser and Arthur wake up and notices Dante talking with Ivete. She explains that the occultist asked for her to take him to the St. Menefreda Orphanage. Kaiser and Arthur agree and walk towards the Order's base, where they meet Erin, Fernando and Joui. They decide that they need to return to the Devilish Mansion as soon as possible.
Kaiser tells Fernando and Joui about his research about Anthony, and about the symbol on Arthur's back. About Anthony, Kaiser found that he was a relative of the elder couple that lived next door, Nestor and Graça Scelto, and that they were listed as dead 15 years ago. Arthur and Erin meet Agatha in the Rituals' room and tells her about Tristan's death and his jacket, which she assessed as cursed, but not able to transcend, and on the strange and huge symbol on the back of the musician. The girl uses her Flesh Out Ritual on Arthur, but in the process of removing the symbol, she ends up pulling all skin from his back. Erin decides to call Joui to use his healing ritual, which leaves Arthur’s back with a huge spiral mark. With all this situation, Arthur loses his tattoo of wings on his back.
Joui decides to transcend with the paper found in the body of The Lurker, learning the Abnormal Dread Ritual. Kaiser finds Letícia at the research room and asks her for a 3D Model of a stamp with the symbol of its Feel Through Ritual. After Arthur and Fernando finish a disastrous game of pool, Kaiser receives the stamp and everyone takes the van towards the city of Canadense.
Arriving at the reception of their destination, the doorman opens the passage to the Blue Condominium. Luciano parks the car, and Erin does the same with the police car, still parked on the street, maneuvering behind the team van to avoid suspicion. Joui suggests that before the team enters the mansion he and someone else would question the elderly couple of the Scelto family about what they discovered on the internet, about Anthony and the death of the couple 15 years ago, while Fernando, who goes along with him, alerts them to be ready for any possible problem. After discussing and activating the wiretaps, Joui and Fernando knock and call for the elderly, but no one answers them. Both arm themselves after Joui notices that the door is considerably old and suddenly Fernando switches to Luciano. Joui and Luciano enter the house and are surprised by what they see. They come across a very different place, with the room all dirty and abandoned, and completely empty, with a single carpet containing in the middle what appears to be the symbol of the Forced Haunt Ritual, Luciano pulls the carpet back and comes across a giant symbol carved into the ground. Luciano uses his Macabre Identification skill on the symbol of the ground and he feels that the symbol is not active, just nailed to the ground, Arthur takes a photo of the symbol and sends to Agatha who confirms that it is a symbol of the elements of Knowledge e Energy. They search the house, but find nothing that drags their attention. Luciano quickly sees the dog house with the name ''Estrela'' and it's all dusty and old and rotten. Arthur and Erin go to the children’s house to see if they are not some kind of illusion as the elderly were. There they see that they are well and talk a little with Cassiano, Hugo and Eduarda, and ask a question about the elderly couple. Eduarda replies that since when she lives there is no one living in the house of the elderly.
Finally they enter the Devilish Mansion and go straight to the room of the four coffins, and decide to check one of the two that had not yet been opened: the red one. Unlocking his access with the "key" found by Kaiser, it is noticed that the smell is much stronger and smellier than all the others. They find the body of a woman not very preserved, looking like it was soaked for many, many years, because of having bubbles next to the deceased. The team Find a key in the body’s mouth. They open the other coffin, the chains open, and when they push the lid, they see a body similar to the body of Rafael Montes, with Black Ooze around it and dripping from its eyes. With their past with such a by-product of the Death element, the surviving trio from the Carpazinha's case quickly checks if the sludge also reacted to the fire, which does not happen. It seems not to be afraid of the fire like that of Holy Cradle had, on account of it just starting bubbling and burning when being leaned directly into the fire. The team notices that the skull is slightly displaced from the body and the ooze is writhing trying to become a spiral. Joui Jouki quickly cuts the body and picks up a criptex with the letters "DEAD". Erin then checks whether words like "live", "life" or "Kian" would open the small device, which does not happen. They keep trying to guess the password as they descend to the first floor, going to the closed door corresponding to the found key, unlock the door of such a room and enter. Entering the room, they see a small classroom, with a blackboard attached to the wall, four school desks and a larger table, apparently for a teacher. Already inside the room, they hear scratches on the board, and comes the written question:
"Welcome children! In today's class we will learn: Why the useless piece of shit father abandoned your family? Remember, children: I don't want a written answer, I want to hear it!"
They look for partitions of the tables, Kaiser finds a drawing of a child with a dark-haired man and a boy with curled dark hair, Erin finds drawings of skulls and chewed gum, Arthur finds a document with the adoption file of Leonardo Gomes, full of informations about Heitor and Fátima Mare, and it’s undeniable that he has nothing to do with the Leonardo Gomes they know. Erin tries the password "MARE", at the same time the criptex opens and within it, a score of a song is found.
The team decides to research a little about Heitor, theorize about the drawing of the child who resembles Anthony, the old Leonardo and Estrela. Kaiser finds a purchase file of the house in Canadense by Heitor M. They go up to the music room and Luciano calls Fernando, who after explaining the situation begins to play the music of the score of the criptex. Joui Jouki recognizes this song, but doesn't know from where, he just remembers that it was sometime in the Carpazinha Sanatorium and everyone wants to hear the music, it’s strangely enjoyable. They hear the body of the coffin coming out, walking inhuman, twisted, with ooze dripping and only the skeleton looking like a quadruped being walking. Joui asks Luciano to return and he instantly returns, the monster passes by Erin who destroys the creature’s head. The head falls, but it keeps walking, Joui picks up the items for the ritual and Kaiser uses his Quick Draw skill to shoot at the monster, the ooze keeps sneezing, while Arthur pulls out his cell phone and the creature throws itself on top with his ribs exposed in Luciano, who manages to push the creature and at the same time, Erin almost explodes a leg of the monster, Joui uses the Forced Coincidence Ritual to get stronger in counter-attacks and blocks, they continue the fight with Kaiser missing a shot and Arthur without opening for his ritual. He dodges the monster's attack and Luciano shoots then, but the creature dodges, Erin shoots the creature damaging it, Joui jumps through the wall and sinks his sword into the monster, Kaiser shoots the monster that nearly turned into a puddle of ooze and Arthur kills it with one shot.
They begin to recover from the battle and search the coffin and the monster, but have nothing more than expected. Luciano goes to the room and start talking that the answer is Death, and begins to shoot but nothing happens and the shots have no effect. Arthur’s investigator instinct shows that she never specified that she wanted to hear a word, so they take the guitar with strings, Fernando comes back and start playing the music from the score, and then they start to hear the scratches in spirals, and on the edge of the picture they hear a metallic sound. They take a key, and Joui remembers the song when he opened the silhouette cell in the Carpazinha Sanatorium, inside Joui’s head.
They arrive upstairs, and opening another door, they find a children’s room, containing several red, yellow and black Legos, with boxes of a sun, a bird and the Deconjuration Symbol. When investigating more deeply, they find another drawing, with a sun, a bird and the Big Symbol, along with "TIRIGAN" written. They analyze the drawing and discover the amount of Legos needed to solve the challenge. They find a piece of paper with a laptop password and a renowned teacher. Researching this, they think it is the house 29, where currently lives Eduarda Flom, and for a long time the Front Real Estate Company had the house. After giving the password to the phone by S.I.R.C., they find the occultist file from the former Nostradamus High School principal, Álvaro Augusto.
After reading the file and talking a little, when Kaiser is turning the hallway he hears a loud noise, the head of the monster that seems to have been thrown, which ends up biting him, Luciano takes his gun while Erin begins to use her Blessing Curse Ritual. Kaiser shoots the skull without much success, and Arthur misses a shot, and dodges a near fatal blow from the monster, Joui runs out, Luciano shoots and hits the creature and Erin begins to run, Kaiser gives two more shots to the creature’s head, and crumbles the skull of the Listened, Arthur causes a good damage and makes a hole in the Listened, but in its turn, it hits him and hurts him a little but not seriously, Luciano screams: ''Hands off my friend!'' and shoots twice in the creature, but misses both. Erin and Joui continue to run, which reaches where Kaiser is and tells him to burn its head. The creature begins to become weak shortly after Kaiser’s 2 shots, and they continue surrounding the monster, then Arthur shoots and deals even more damage to the monster, the Listened throws itself at Luciano but he counterattacks and kills the monster. They try to burn the creature, and it eventually burns.
They go to the notebook and finally manage to access it, soon opening a file "THAT_MUSIC.txt", Kaiser tries to hack Heitor’s email, but they decide to only try Heitor backwards, and it works. They find emails from Renato Sonimus with the title "How are things going?", being a concerned email from Heitor’s agent, Fátima’s email, "We need to do something", talking about the paranormal events at home, "New Music" being an email trade between Heitor and Renato, with Renato angry with the score being a strange loop, and the PDF of the Pt. 1 of the song, and "URGENT!!!" from Fátima, being an email about her being crazy about Leonardo killing cats. They print the Pt.1 and Pt.2 from the score to play the full song, and then they go to the living room to have more space. Fernando comes back and then, they start to play the song.
After Arthur and Fernando started to play the song, the agents start to hear the creatures coming from the upstairs. Now they need to protect their musicians to end this loop. The first is blown up by Erin Parker with a grenade and the second goes to where Kaiser and Joui Jouki are, injuring Joui but being killed by him. After some turns Fernando switches to Luciano, that not being an expert playing instruments, almost screws everything, but Arthur manages to play the song by his own, with only one hand.[2] In a third creature, Kaiser uses his Dissipate Spirits Ritual, killing it. A fourth Listened comes from the outside through the window, trying to jump on Arthur that was finishing the song, but Luciano throws himself at the creature taking the bite in place of his companion. Everyone jumps in the monster, ending the fight after a round.
Kaiser pulls out a cigarette and when he lights his lighter Arthur plays the last notes, so all the creatures disappear. They put the keys together and start talking and going to the door with two locks. When they are about to open one of the locks, they are interrupted by a car parking. Going to the balcony they see Ivete and Dante leaving the car.

- Rakin, that plays Dante, was not present during the recording of this episode. His character was played by the master, Cellbit, who followed the player’s guidelines of how he would handle the plot situations.
- Although LJoga says that this episode marks the first time Fernando has witnessed a paranormal creature in his life,[21] in reality, he already seen a Chaos Disturbed in the 7th episode of Deconjuration.[22] However, this episode really marks the first time that Fernando shoots with a firearm.[23]
