Now you know... what happened to the witch and what she did to us. We were all here, watching everything, while the kittens devoured her body almost completely. She couldn’t take the blame. All of them without eyes, devouring her body.

Remorseful Witch is the thirteenth episode of Paranormal Order: Deconjuration. It aired on April 3, 2021.
Synopsis[]
Among mysteries, dolls, revelations and conflicts, the Order agents continue their investigation through the Devilish Mansion, getting more and more answers about the past of this mysterious place, and especially about Kian.
Summary[]
Blue Condominium, 11th Street, House 27. The address of the Devilish Mansion, the place where the team continues investigating. The group formed by Arthur, Dante, Erin, Joui, Kaiser and Luciano was guided by a strange gas line to the old photo revelation room, but when they opened the door, they came across something different: a room with an old bed, a rocking chair and a closet, and the most important: several dolls scattered around the place, all with different clothes, with the same ritual symbol designed and without eyes. They enter the room slowly, afraid of something happening and having the feeling of being watched by the dolls, even though they have no eyes. Seeing this, Dante remembers the doll that Kaiser found, which had its head torn off, and looking closer, he realizes that she also has no eyes and seems to have black tears running down her face. The agents discuss how the room may have changed, wondering if time is being influenced there. Erin tries to check the dolls scattered on top of the bed, noting that they have the same ritual symbol drawn on their back, while Joui and Dante go through the closet. Only before they try to open it, they realize: there is a crack ajar through the closet doors. The two can't stop but see again the yellow eye of two pupils, trembling, with prominent red roots, and the sound of dripping echoes in their heads. Joui and Dante feel their energies drained and are frozen, starting to walk with short steps towards the closet. Kaiser notices the strange movement of the two and also looks, feeling drained too and starting to walk slowly along them. They get closer and closer, with Joui realizing that there are more smaller eyes next to this huge eye, and Kaiser is completely exhausted. The other three notice the lures moving, and Luciano points his gun upwards, shooting and taking Joui and Dante out of the trance, with only Kaiser remaining the same. Joui takes his katana and tries to attack the creature, but the closet closes the doors, and Kaiser comes out of the trance, feeling totally worn out, and with an explicit purple eye under his visible eye. Joui offers a stimulant to the hacker, who accepts and comes out of exhaustion.
Kaiser leaves the group due to fatigue and starts to search on Vanessa Ângelo, finding that she married Mandraque Ângelo, an architect who had made the plan of the Devilish Mansion in the mid-1970s, a plan that Kaiser can find in his research. Meanwhile, the other investigators decide to open the closet to confirm that there was no further risk. When opening it, the first thing visible are many dolls in the same situation as the surroundings, with their eyes torn out and with the symbol marked. In reflex, Luciano ends up shooting a doll, shattering its head. After the environment calms down, the agents notice that the dolls are arranged in a grid of four by five on each shelf, with the middle column completely empty. In the center of this empty shelf, they find a book, with the title "The Remorseful Little Witch". Joui notices that apparently almost all the pages are all black, as if they had been scratched, but the first pages are normal, telling the story of a witch very in love with her husband, a powerful wizard, and that with her new powers, spread four beautiful dolls around town that had a secret symbol taught by the same wizard, and soon after, several of the black scratches requiring the four dolls. They realize that one of the mentioned dolls is the one with them, the one that had previously been found by Kaiser in the music room. Dante goes to the closet to put the doll there and, in doing so, the doll is attracted to something and flies from the hand of the occultist, joining its body and head and sitting at the place where Dante would put it.
Kaiser leaves the group again and heads to the bathroom to look for other dolls while Dante searches the second floor, but neither finds anything. In the meantime, Erin lights an incense in the pool but nothing seems to occur. Joui goes after Kaiser and Dante while Luciano and Arthur continue in the doll room. They have the idea to take a picture, thinking there might be an invisible doll. Taking a picture of the open closet, Luciano discovers what he was looking for: an invisible doll wearing a black dress and covering his eyes. The rest of the agents keep taking pictures everywhere else.
Kaiser returns to the first bathroom he went to in his search and begins to fill the tub of the place. At first, there doesn’t seem to be anything different about it, but over time, it starts to get the same earlier reddish liquid, almost overflowing out. Little time passes and something begins to appear in the middle of this liquid: a doll. The hacker tries to catch it, but feels again this red liquid trying to pull him. He tries to hold on but fails and ends up falling into the bathtub, screaming for help. All of the team run towards where the cries for help had come out and see him about to drown. Arthur and Luciano try to help Kaiser out, making him breathe a little, but the liquid persists in trying to pull him out. Dante uses his Destruction ritual in the liquid, dealing good damage and allowing Joui to pull the hacker out of the liquid. Coughing up enough water from his throat, Kaiser holds up his hand, holding a blonde doll, naked. The agents return to the closet and position the doll inside the closet.
Soon after, they go towards the dining room, lighting the fireplace, but nothing happens. Erin asks everyone to leave the room, and turn off the lights. Some time passes, a minute, two, until Erin begins to return to the exit of the room and feels something in the back of her head. She gropes and recognizes this thing as a doll, the one that has a rope tied around her neck, a witch’s outfit and is all busted. The agents return to the closet and place the doll in its proper place. The four are reunited again, and soon after that, the closet closes, with very loud sounds of what seems to be scratchs echoing around the house. Joui recognizes that the sound came from the left part of the corridor. They walk down the hall, until they return to the dining room, seeing something totally unusual.
On that same dining table, a symbol is now seen that appears to have been drawn by sharp nails, identical to the symbol drawn in the book of communication with spirits. Again, voices echo around the house saying things like "They are strangers. We talked too much with them, we learned to not talk with strangers. Where's our friends?" Erin asks the voices who would be the "friends" who are speaking and when the name of Leonardo Gomes is mentioned, the voices say things like "Not this name...", "Not him, no.". The voices mention Eduarda's name, and Arthur instantly remembers that Eduarda was the name of the girl he and Dante had talked about earlier in the front house. Kaiser retreats from the scene and goes to the second floor to look for other dolls along with Arthur, but when the hacker opens a door, he is faced with about fifteen eyes in the crack. He closes the door and comes down with Arthur.
The team begins to argue about going after Eduarda, as her name has been mentioned, and after a lengthy discussion, they decide that Joui and Erin will look for her. The pair leave the residence and walk to the girl’s house, finding her, along with two other boys, Cassiano, an arrogant boy carrying his father’s gun, and Hugo, who turns out to be a fan of comic books. Cassiano says they saw the team battling with the Traveler and Hugo says that it was they who called the police. Eduarda, who shows herself with a certain fear of the two agents, says that Tim, her younger brother, disappeared. She also says that they always go to the house to talk to the spirits and supposes that Tim may have hidden there. Erin and Joui come to a consensus with the three children and take them inside the mansion.
As soon as the five arrive, Dante begins to argue with Joui, claiming that there is no way to guarantee the safety of three teenagers since two police officers have already died in the house, but Kaiser interrupts the discussion, saying that no one will die because they will all give their lives for the three teenagers. The agents decide to form three groups, which are formed by two agents each, and a teenager, being the groups: Joui, Luciano and Cassiano; Kaiser, Arthur and Hugo; and Dante, Erin and Eduarda.
The three groups explore the house again in search of Tim, one talking to the other by the wire when necessary. Hugo theorizes about him being able to be outside, and Joui, who was listening by the wire, remembers the van, and soon everyone runs out to the outside. And as soon as they open the door to the van, they finally get to see Tim, wrapped in Tristan's jacket and looking to Beatrice's eyes, that as expected, continues to behave like an Existed. Dante extends his arm to get the boy out of there, but he refuses, saying that they should not be away from her, but close, because she needs them to be able to exist and be remembered. The agents bring Tim out of the van and question him about what he knows about the house. Tim replies that he is always playing with Tirigan, his 'imaginary friend'. When questioned by Tirigan, Tim just shuts up and lowers his head. When the photo of the statue of Leonardo Gomes is presented, he only denies that he knows the man in the photo. Eduarda asks the agents to leave him alone and asks them to return to the dining room to use the ritual.
Everyone reunites in the room, and Eduarda begins the ritual process. She holds one of the dolls in her hand and focuses on the symbol. A while passes and she opens her eyes, which begin to rotate quickly, turning white. Her body becomes possessed and the voices that once echoed around the mansion now echo through the girl’s body. They ask who the agents are and what they want, and also say that they no longer exist, and that Beatrice is also like them: Existed. She tells about how the tattoos influence in making the veil weaker and the memory they have with the 'witch' making statues of a certain person in the statue room, with boards being removed from the floor. Kaiser tries to observe if there are any loose boards in the dining room, but to no avail. But Dante corrects him, saying that it is to do this in the room of statues, asking the hacker the old plant of the house. Luciano asks if there is any way to save the voices, receiving a laugh as an answer, and at the same time, Eduarda’s body drops. Dante checks the girl’s pulse, and realizes that she is only faint, but with her eye still whitish. He knows that now the group must go to the statue room, but before going, he is confronted by Luciano, who based on the response received by the voices, suggests to the group to 'free' Beatrice from the suffering. The group itself rejects and disagrees with the military’s suggestion, which is questioned by Kaiser if he would do the same if it were Fernando on her place. The hacker leaves the room and joins Dante and Arthur to the place where the statue room is said by the plant. Dante notices that there are some spare boards on the floor, and indicates where Kaiser should remove them. He pulls his Karambit and pulls out the boards, making it possible to see a gap between the first and second floors. In this gap, they find a stock of several small identical figurines of a certain man: the same physiognomy as Leonardo Gomes. Next to the statuettes, they find a torn page, which tells a little about the process of the Deconjuration and the deconstruction of the veil. The person who wrote, implicitly Vanessa Ângelo, also talks about the tests of the Vessel of Knowledge, a receptacle, with a drawing of a male physiognomy similar to Leonardo Gomes, and that she is also keeping an eye on the condominium guard. Kaiser and Dante are confused by this information, wondering why all this coincidence. The three return to the dining room, with Dante bringing one of the statues. The agents discuss more about this information, while Joui tries to break the statue he brought with ease. Kaiser tries to look for some record of the watchmen of the Blue Condominium, managing to easily find the documents, finding one that instantly catches his attention: the 1970 watchmen, Virgílio Scelto. They notice that Virgílio had a brother, Nestor Scelto, and that he lived next door, the House 28. They remember that two elderly people live in that house, and Dante deduces that one of them is Nestor. The occultist decides to go with Joui to the next house, being greeted by Graça, the old lady who had met Luciano before.
She invites them in and they are greeted by Nestor, an elderly man who wears sunglasses. When questioned by Virgílio, he does not hide the nervousness of his brother and begins to tell about how he was 'caught by the witch' of the mansion, and that when he returned, was no longer the same. He also says that Virgílio gave him a key, but that he never had the courage to enter the mansion to find out what had happened to the children. Nestor gets up, and because he is a blind man, he starts to touch things so he can go to the shelf, taking the key and handing it to Joui. Graça thanks them for the conversation and tells the agents that no matter what they are doing, they are bringing hope to everyone. Joui hands her a card with his name and phone number, which she returns with two plates of cake. The two leave the house and return to the mansion. Joui, without hesitation, goes to the drawer they had previously tried to open, and puts the key in the lock, managing to open it finally. Inside the drawer, he finds another torn diary page, plus a collar with a rattle. On this page, which tells a little more about the process of the Vessel of Knowledge, there is also a ritual symbol, called Forced Haunt, a ritual used to trap the entities in the place, and also that the so-called 'witch' already had a method of getting rid of the children’s bodies. They also discuss about the process of the passage, about the body exchanges that supposedly Kian performed with Mandraque, Virgílio and Leonardo Gomes. Looking at the plant again, the agents return to the site where they blew up a wall, with Joui holding the collr in his hands. He swings the item once and again, the same scratching sounds echo through the house, with several bowls falling from above the nothing. A sentence is written in blood on the floor, as a kind of riddle:
"WE WATCHED IT HAPPEN. WE DEVOURED. WE WANT MORE BLOOD. IN THE BOWLS. ONLY ONE FOR EACH. HOW MANY WERE WE?"
Thinking it has something to do with the cats, Kaiser takes the old photo of the mansion and starts counting all the cats in the photo. Some see between 6 and 10 cats, but soon they agree with the number 8. Joui cuts off a small part of his arm, pouring a drop of blood into one of the bowls, which fills automatically. He fills seven more bowls and stops. A few seconds pass and again the scratched echoes, with Joui suffering several scratches in several different places. The Japanese falls to the ground, screaming in pain, while a ninth bowl is filled automatically. The agents hear Cassiano’s cries from the other room, warning about Eduarda, who is back to be active. The voices say that they couldn’t stop looking at her, that they devoured the bodies, that they wanted more, that they saw her do everything, and that she felt guilty and couldn’t stand being watched anymore. They also say that they were satisfied and are no longer holding the door, and in this, Eduarda faints again. Joui warns them that the upstairs door was finally opened, and then Arthur and Luciano go up there. The vulture pushes the door, which was ajar, and discovers that room again, with a bed, a table and a chest of drawers, plus a rope hanging from the ceiling, tied as if it were a gallows. Luciano tries to open one of the chest of drawers, while Dante and Hugo join the two agents. When opening the drawer, the military takes a scare to see several yellow eyes of cats, plucked and bleeding. The voices return, now echoing throughout the house, saying that finally the agents know what happened to them, and that the cats devoured the body of the witch almost completely, all without eyes.
They also tell about how making friends is good, and that the agents remind a certain person, who had already visited the house. A funny man, who came to investigate its past, and who was happy with the story of the witch, that it was the perfect inspiration for the story and the name of his book: The Lurker. Upon hearing this, Hugo says that he has this book in his backpack and removes it from it, showing the agents that see a cover with a yellow eye of two pupils and a tear falling, named "The Lurker and other horror stories", by Daniel Hartmann.
